Anyone else think James Corden's not funny?

Well someone's quite strong in their views....

Personally I find him funny. He may not be the wittiest of people but not everyone has to be witty to be funny. As strange as this may sounds, his appearance makes me laugh before he even opens his mouth XD
 
James Corden is fantastic, I used to hate him ages ago, and think he was over rated, but now I'm a massive fan, I love how patriotic he is, can you think of anyone else recently as keen about england as him?

Patrick Stewart was out of order at that awards ceremony too, apparently, he's like this all the time around "non-thespians"

If you find him funny then fair play to you but your probably the same people that laugh at anything. He is too repetitive and there is only so many fat jokes that you can take before you get ****** off. He should stick to just acting and give up on presenting and writing although we don't really know how much writing he is responsible for. He probably only wrote his name on the scripts for G&S
 
I seem to think that younger people find him funnier then the older people. I personally prefer witty comedians like Jimmy Carr, Corden just tries to hard and over does it.

its funny how you can call someone a ***** without even knowing him. yeah he is abit hot and cold sometimes funny sometimes not but he has made **** loads of money doing something he obviously loves doing fair play to him...... wish i could be a ***** too!!!
 
The ironic thing about the first post (and no, before I start whats probably going to be a rant, I don't bumfuck James Corden) is that you talk about appreciating intelligence, and it is his initiative that's got him where he is. I don't find his jokes particularly funny, but as an actor with an ever so slight funny touch he's created a lovable theme (James Corden the patriot, the massive nobody England fan giving inspiration to the players) which is basically what's made him more famous than the other comedians who have starred in TV.
It's a likeable theme, and you've gotta admire him. It's cheesy but it works and say what you like, he's a genuine fan and the theme works.
I thought he was reasonably funny on Gavin & Stacey, but I really don't think he'd be all that funny if we had a conversation to him face to face and he had to improvise his jokes. There are far better about,
but you've got to respect the guy.

On his world cup show the jokes about the baboons were so painfully unfunny and awkward i was in fits of laughter. There were actually tears in my eyes.XD

I think he's pretty funny, normally.
 
To be honest not a big fan, In fairness I haven't watched Gavin & Stacy but seeing him on that League of your own thing on Sky, His jokes look like their scripted but when he just engages in banter between everyone during it he is pretty funny, But I'll take the king of comedy Lee Evans over him any day of the week

i think he is too common, he is on every channel, he is funny at times but seems a bit of a brown nose

Wouldn't you be if you was in his position, he's come from nowhere and i don't understand how people can slate him. People have jobs and this is just his own job and i think the majority of people that slate him are just jelous.
 
This is the first time I've watched his show, it's actually pretty good - Edgar Davids is feeling a little awkward haha.
 
The 'autograph' bit on his show was so funny.

I really like him, just seems kind of normal, and that works for me.

I saw his argument with Sir Patrick. It was Patrick who had a go at Corden, and Stewart was totally unprofessional in the way he criticised him on stage, not after the ceremony. Its a shame because I respected Stewart, now he's lost my respect.
 
He has his funny moments, but I can name a list of better funnymen than him. Peter Kay eclipses him as the funniest fat man.
