Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2 for FM14

which version are people using on full game? I am still using beta version called arrigo sacchi 442. noticed there is a new one just titled sacchi. whats the difference? in beta did not lose, it was awesome. since game has come out, had a drop in consistency. should I change to the sacchi one?
 
Very happy with the tactic so far. Won my first 3 league games. Scored 9 and conceded just 1

I left one defensive midfielder as anchor man, then pushed the other up to attacking midfield with am role. I also use work ball into box, retain possession and stand up when tackling. My team are still getting used to this change but am scoring a lot more goals, don't get as many red cards and having the anchor man role still protects the back 4. I won 9-2 in pre-season, it was against a bad team but was great to see the amount of chances, possession and goals I got with this new tactic.
 
Why is every player except the CDs instructed to SHoot Less?
 
How do you take screenshots to post my progress of this formation with Dunfermline?
 
Going to give this a go now and will report back later. Looks pretty impressive just like the FM13 version.
 
Sorry for not being on this thread recently, been a busy half term for me. Though I have managed to take Boreham Wood to the Premier League with back-to-back promotions. SS to come.

I have not made any changes to the original tactic at all, though little adaptations may be needed to suit different teams.

What sort of little adaptations? Do you ever change the mentality? If so to what and when?
 
fm2013 was impressive this time sucks, my save currently brighton W4, D1 L6. used all through preseason and now sit 16th! not really wowing me
 
Update from my Hellas Verona save, in the first season I ended up 7th, while in the second I won the title. Now bare in mind that I replaced 9 players from the main formation in the second season, but I haven't bought any superstar aside of Victor Valdez - he's been a free agent until november, I signed him for 2,5 millions euros p/y.

I took off play high tempo and switched one DM to regista mid-season, I don't think it made that huge of a difference. Oddly enough, my left winger had 0 goals and 16 assists this season, while having 11 goals and 7 assists the season before.

So yeah, I'd say this definitely works. I'm going on with this and then try with Sassuolo as soon as I find a decent DB update.

Quarter Finals in Europa League

It has been an easy and relatively comfortable season in the League and the Cup. I won the league with 25 points difference from second place Hibernian. So in the last 8 matches I was using U19 players, which they develop pretty fast and then sell some of them at the beginning of next season.

The only problem with the tactic (and Celtic) is the fact that you should change between Short and Direct passes depending the opponent as well as the crosses depending on the height of your strikers (e.g. if I use Samaras and Balde up in front then I have to cross more)

First of all, I'd like to thank you for this great tactic. I've been using it with my FM13 Liverpool save and I reached more than 100 unbeaten games record (more than two seasons without a lost game in all competitions!). Although that might have happend because my team was already the best in the world in 2026 when I applied this tactic.
I'm starting my first save on FM14 with Leeds and I hope I'll manage to win Prem Lg with them thanks to your great work! I'll be posting my result here.

I don't change the mentality, but I will bring on more defence minded personnel when defending a 2 goal lead after 60 mins, or 1 goal lead after 75 mins.

Is the v2 a downright better version?

Can you elaborate on how different it is? At work at the moment.
