Yes, a good assistant manager always helps, I have Paul Ashworth (top quality for this level). First I use pace/acc as filters of 10/10 and search passing, crossing, finishing, dribbling, tackling, then do the same without pace/acc to pick up any golden oldies who can still do a job.

What does that mean mate?

You've done brilliant and I'm very jealous of your fa cup tie too, I'm maidenhead Utd and I have no finances, I can't even sign a free transfer and I've got about 20 players in total at the whole club.
Would love to see how you get on at Maidenhead, i'm a season ticket holder at the club and doing the challenge myself

Amazing tactic! Started with Blackburn with my own 4-4-2 tactic. 16 matches: 8-3-5. After that I switched to this tactic. 15 matches: 11-4-0! 34 goals scored. 10 goals conceded. Thank you!!

Wow. Using this tactic to bring Hull City to glory. Look what I just did to Southampton!

My season started out a bit rough, while we were learning the new tactic, but this looks like an oben of greatness to come! I had to bring in a few players to fill out some weak spots in my squad, but as you can see, there is nobody super fancy on my side. Mostly old dudes who fit the roles. It's been said a ton, but it really is key to bring in players that compliment the roles, and not just the positions. Here's my side if you're interested.

Thanks for making such a great tactic, SeanHRFC! I'll post my results at the end of the season.

I absolutely adored and swore by this tactic in FM13 but for whatever reason I have really lacked consistency in this recreation.

Would like to hear Sean's thoughts in this version of late. Any updates mate?

Tbh mate, the ME is bugged atm, give it to 31st and onward until you can really start rating tactics

I have a certain reluctance to use this tactic because of how much I like having an CAM :(

Worked wonders for me in FM13, though. So, if I started an Arsenal save using this, what would you do with Ozil, Wilshere, Santi and Co? I think Wilshere would make a decent RM, MAYBE Ozil and Cazorla on the left (but that displaces on of them :/ ) etc, or is that just pointless and I should sell a couple? Arsenal have an insane amount of CAM's, plus you got two of the best prospects in Crowley and Zelalem also wanting to play there... I don't know what to do!

New beta is now live..will have a go with A.C Milan and tell you my results.

Loved this tactic in FM13 as it worked wonders, I'm also obsessed with playing 4-4-2 and/or having two strikers so it fits the bill :)

Do you get many goals from the two DM's? I played a few pre-season games but was wondering if they get goals like they did in FM13 as Koke used to bang them in when I had him.

Had a busy week so not been on here, will read through and reply in a sec :)

I have just won league 1 with my Boreham Wood team, screen shots to follow (Last half of season completed last night on latest beta update)

Just been testing this tactic in Football Manager Classic.

Playing as Crystal Palace, currently 4th in the Premier League after 5 games.

Two signings (Gabriel Tamas and Anthony Annan), but otherwise playing with the initial starting squad.

Results:
v Aston Villa (Away) - Win 1-0
v Man Utd (Home) - Loss 0-3
v Sunderland (Away) - Draw 2-2
v Chelsea (Home) - Win 3-1
v Norwich (Home) - Win 4-0

It's early days, but this tactic looks solid. I'm getting points where I shouldn't and despite having two DMs, I'm scoring like nobody's business!

I hope to finish a season shortly and I'll post the results!

I added the instructions pass into space and drill crosses and it seems to work better for me, this is with newest patch.

Red cards

I have just started using this with my Southampton save in season 2, currently 6th and winning most games so great tactic! One thing I have noticed though is the amount of red cards my dm's and cb's get! I am halfway through the season and literally have 8 red cards already! I have no tackle hard options on, the players affected are Wanyama, Diame and Shawcross, they are just aggressive players so maybe its just my bad luck.
