Barcelona have finally overhauled Real Madrid to top La Liga for the first time this season.

After an unbeaten run of 10 games the Catalan side sit a point above Los Blancos after previously being 16 points below their rivals!

Double signing

Barcelona have announced the signings of Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and Brazilian starlet Gerson.

25-year-old Ochoa arrives from America(MEX) and is expected to provide competition from Victor Valdes.

18-year-old centre-back Gerson has been signed from Gremio and is regarded as a hot prospect for the future.

Barcelona defeated Valencia in the 1st Leg of the 5th Round of the Spanish Cup.

Barca will take a 2-0 lead to the Mestalla next week after a masterclass from Brazilian winger Robinho.

FC Porto have confirmed the signing of Barcelona youth player Sergi Roberto.

The 18-year-old Spanish midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements at Barca and was overjoyed after his £400k move to Portugal.

Xavi grabbed his 50th career goal as Barcelona cruised past Valencia and into Round 6 of the Spanish Cup.

Barca snap up Italian starlet

The transfer of Mattia Destro from Internazionale to Barcelona for a fee of around £2m has been finalised.

The 19-year-old forward will complete his move at the end of the current season. Destro is expected to provide cover for the first team squad next season.

Fab Barca through to the semis

Cesc Fabregas fired Barcelona into the last four of the Spanish Cup after a 1-0 over Tenerife.

It now looks like European Champions Barcelona will face League Champions Real Madrid for a place in the final.

Barca do the double!

Barcelona won at the Bernabeau to progress to the Spanish Cup Final. Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas netted the goals as Barca won the game 2-0.

Real have now lost to their bitter rivals twice in a week and have another encounter at the weekend in what will be a title showdown at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona defeated Real Madrid for the third time in 2 weeks to move within a point of Los Blancos at the top of La Liga.

Cesc Fabregas scored the winner at the Camp Nou as Barca edged a tight game 1-0.

Magic Messi downs Bayern!

Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the Allianz Arena.

Barca complete double signing

Barcelona have announced the signings of two Argentina Under 19 internationals.

Both players are 18-years-old and will move to the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

Diminutive winger Sebastian Gonzalez will arrive from San Lorenzo for a fee of £55k

Striker Sergio Araujo will move from Boca Juniors for around £25k

Barcelona have stepped up a gear as the La Liga title race nears the home straight.

The Catalans beat Real Madrid at the Nou Camp to go top and since then they have been in irresistible form as they aim to wrestle the League Title from Los Blancos.

Robinho to leave Camp Nou

Brazilian winger Robinho looks set to leave the Nou Camp after a disappointing season in Barcelona.

The 27-year-old has expressed his desire to leave the European Champions and has even missed training on two occasions.

Robinho has made 18 appearances scoring 5 goals in all competitions this season.
