yes, sir. i've tried some other possession tactics with some other teams before but this one seemed too much. i thought the problem was the closing down so i tweaked it. i also decreased the mentality of the attacking players and i think it worked. did i do the right thing?

most welcome mate. i'll post the screenshots later and thanks for the tips :)

That's very nice to see if someone participate to develop this tactic. It would be nice if share your success here and also to share your tweaked tactic ^^)

I have to say, the defence is superb. Reina has 15 clean sheets in 18 games.

wow thats awesome mate, my personal records is with athletic bilbao where gorka iraizoz has 10 clean sheets in a row

Valero completed 179 passes on his debut.

Wish my away form would improve though, played 9, won 1, drew 7, lost one.

Signed Rossi to play the Messi role, scored on his debut.

That's absolutely crazy mate! i never seen seen something like that before, almost 200 passes thats crazy. My personal record is with javi martinez but i didnt won the match :(

Not saying its not because of the tactic, but Reina is BEAST mode in the FM series I have come to find over the last 2 years, always seems to make incredible saves in the game.

I started a season with Arsenal and I am using this tactic, I will be sure to let you know how it goes! Just bought Hulk, so looking to slot him into the Messi role.

that's nice sir if you want to try this tactic :), yes indeed reina is one of the best goalie in the game. Arsenal would be awesome, because they have the same philosophy as barca, but i think van persie also would be great in messi position, but if you trying to sign hulk its also very good i think because you will have a good squad depth

Arikubis, I think of having found! My MDC gets more ball than my MC because he has "request often the ball" in its favorite techniques :) ! I test and I say it to you!

Sorry for my bad English :s

Gonna give this a shout with Derby County, il repost tonight with some results

I haven't take goals because i have remove "play offside" :)

In fact, its dangerous to play the offside with a defense not aligned

Did you make that with this tactics ? 187 passes, just incredible !! Mine made only 70 passes :(

Did you modify the tactics?

Just with this tactic, no modifications. Not bad on his debut as well!

hi i have been using this with man united in season 1. only player i purchased was fellaini for dm slot. 1st season i did very well winning league champs league, charity shield, league cup.

rooney did really well in the messi role finishing top scorer, most assists etc. the games were a pleasure to watch however i was a little disappointed with number of goals scored. i was winning but by only 1 or 2 goals.

2nd season i am having an absolute shocker. i keep conceding goals ( more than i score ) hernandez in the villa role is not scoring at all.

im wondering if there is any advice you can give me to improve on my rather disappointing season

Defence was awesome for me with this tactic, the possession was as well, but for me, the goals weren't coming. Normally only won 1-0. Away I was drawing pretty much every game. If you could make it more lethal up front, it'd be one of the best tactics I've used.

Im very curious about one thing; How come U have restricted the players through balls so much, when all it could do is encourage to make more opening passes, cut the defense passes. This tactic is great, I tested it couple games. U gotta put through balls to often to most of ur players, especially Xavi role. I feel U wud get way more from this tactic. Then I think some of ur players have too much creative freedom and some are too attacking or defensive in terms of mentality, e.g. if U put that dropping CB's mentality to normal, he wud play more passes upwards, which aids ur game in terms of controlling it in their half. No-one shud have defensive mentality in barca tactic in my opinion. :P

These just crossed my mind, U can give em a shot.

Sorry mate been busy for the past weeks. That's great if you find it good for your team. Now i currently working to tweak this tactic a bit to improve the number of goals scored and also the defense. And i find it good with my athletic bilbao team, but will post the tactic after a season with athletic bilbao.
