I tried a birmingham story too and this is a good one you have some good upfront players and jus need a bit of look. try getting someone like cabanas or riquelme they help ur goals immensly. Forst season for me riquelme 21 appearances 13 goals 14 assists. If your struggling at the back buy shittu or zayatte both very physical and good in air plus score a lot from corners

simply great.... ... mate congratz and if you are still looking for defense search for gerson he is brazilian CB and if you can get hamsik he is efffffffffin amazing
and can you post your tactics update?

September Report

Results

(Away) West Ham 3-0: A few players were given a chance against the hammers. Birmingham showed how powerful the are on the break as all 3 goals were counter attacks. Goals from Love (2) and Verkhovtsev.

(Away) Man City 1-3: Again brushed aside by city as they took the points with ease. 1st loss in the league so far. Goal from Love.

(Away) Newcastle 4-3: An exciting game but really it shouldn't of been that close. After going up 3-0 Birmingham became complacent and nearly threw away the 3 points a late goal from Adu saved the day. Goals from Love (2), Lukaku and Adu.

(Home) Juventus 4-4 (Champions League): A game that either side could of won in a close encounter. Amauri proved himself too much for the Birmingham defence to handle. Marchisio was shown red on the 25th minute but Birmingham failed to take advantage of the extra man. Goals from Love (3) and Kranjcar.

(Home) Chelsea 3-1: A great result with the whole team on form. Played with 10 men after Love was injured on the 55th minute and no subs remaining. Love will miss 6 weeks. Goals from Lukaku (2) and Bastos.

(Away) Stoke 3-3 (6-5pens) (League Cup 3rd Rnd): Stoke now in the Championship showed great determination as they nearly shown up a strong Birmingham side. The game needed penalties to separate the side where Birmingham came out on top scoring 100% of their spot kicks. Goals from Lukaku (2) and Verkhovtsev.

(Home) Everton 3-3: Failed to hold onto a 3-1 lead. A 35 yard free-kick from Arteta on the 79th minute and an injury time equalizer from Cahill lead Casey to tear his hair out. Goals from Adu, Verkhovtsev and Krancjar.

Review

Top of the League couldn't be happier, well i lie i could be the defence has been shaky the midfield are not holding onto the ball well but this is only sometimes. Romero is out for 5weeks, Love for 6 weeks and Bastos for 2 weeks. Vagner Love came 2nd in Player of the Month and Lukalu came 2nd in Young Player of the Month. Birmingham will play Man City in the 4th Rnd of the League Cup.

Think you've got a really decent little team going on here, with Love, Lukaku and Adu. Keep up the brilliant story. :)

If and when you win the league, do you think you'll move on to a new club? Or is that too far away for the moment?

Thanks, em it a tough Question its unlikely i would leave id prob want a Champions League at least before i leave

If only Birmingham were this good in RL. :(

Gr8 story though, good read.

You should of started Verratti though, i have him for a Manc save, played him in the first team since i brought him at 17 and he is awesome now:

Anybody no any 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 tactics with good defence i still am leaking huge amounts of goals

aww, he was such a classy player, the best in his first season.

Hope you sell him to a decent club!!!

October Report

Results

(Away) Dinamo Kiev 1-0 (Champions League): A strong Kiev side full of promising South Americans. A late goal from Kadlec was enough to secured the 3 points. Goal from Kadlec.

(Away) Bristol City 0-1: Bassong gave away a penalty on the 20th minute which Matty Taylor cooly put away. A very poor performance as the mid week trip to Kiev took it toll on the squad.

(Away) Bolton 3-0: A great bounce back from the poor result in Bristol. 3 goals and a cleansheet capped a great game by the blues. Kadlec picked up an injury and will miss 3 weeks. Goals from Kadlec, Fabio and Adriano.

(Away) Galatasaray 2-2 (Champions League): A vital game in a tight group. Happy to come away with a draw after a tough trip to Turkey. Goals from Verkhovtsev and Adu.

(Home) Wolves 2-1: A close game and a Krancjar curler from distance turned out to be the winner. A good comeback after going behide from the spot after Fabio dived in missing the ball completely. Lukaku picked up a knock and will miss 3 weeks. Goals from Lukaku and Kranjcar.

(Home) Man City 1-0 (League Cup 4th Rnd): A weaken squad pulled of the unlikely, Huddlestone scored a piledriver to ensure a win after a defensive performance from Birmingham. Goal from Huddlestone.

Review

A good month despite alot of players missing through injury and fatigue. Lukaku came 3rd in Young Player of the Month, Kranjcar goal against Wolves came 2nd in Goal of the Month. Birmingham have been lucky in the League Cup quarter final draw and will play league 1 side Norwich. A lack of fit strikers and Adriano being unimpressive when called upon has lead to Montgomery being recalled from Rangers. The youngster scored 5 in 5 for Ranger yet spent 2 months on the sideline with injury.
