Santos were poor today, no wonder they were struggling in their league. Milito opened the scoring 3 minutes in, hitting a sweet volley. He then double the the scoring with a powerful bicycle kick, Santos had no answer
After the break, Santos managed to score, Arouca heading home. But it was Boca who pressed, and were rewarded for their efforts six minutes from time, when Rodriguez smashed a 23 yard effort into the top hand corner. Boca win 3-1, taking a fantastic lead back home

Mr Drezzy was shocked, Santos were poor. But he couldn't feel sorry for them, he was with Boca and they needed the win today, because they wanted the cup. He set Boca out to slaughter Santos, and they did

Boca Juniors 2-0 Estudiantes (LP)
Maxi Rodriguez (11), Jo (36)

Estundiantes were the main challengers to the Opening Stage championship, but if they lost today, they would hand Boca the title. boca started of shaky but regained their nerves when Rodriguez scored a free kick from 20 yards out. The match itself wasn't that entertaining, Santos fielded a reserve team, obviously wanting to concentrate on their league. Boca treated the game as a knock around, acting like they had already won the title. But that didn't dampen the atmosphere at all, with Monzon clinching the cup with a 64th minute penalty. Boca were Champions, for the second time in a week

INTERC3.jpg

Mr Drezzy had been forgiven, he had delivered the Boca's fourth title in under two years. he was the main man amongst the fans again, but what about the board room?

Fifa World Club Championships: Semi Final

Boca Juniors 1 - 1 Santos Laguna

Boca win 4-2 on Penalties

Fonseca (48)

Lopez Own Goal

yokohama_international1.jpg

Boca almost paid the price for dropping most of their first team for this game. Boca had the majority of the shots but the inexperienced front man just couldn't cut it in front of goal. The first half was pretty even, with hardly any notable chances on goal.
After the break Santos Laguna took the lead when Fonseca scored from 12 yards out. And with the inability of the Boca forwards to score, it looked as if they would go crashing out, but hey were gifted a goal as Lopez handled into his own net.
After a tiring 30 mins over time, the match went to penalties. Boca were lucky to win this one, and they would go on to face Real Madrid in the final

Mr Drezzy knew he had to play his first team against Madrid. But no one was writing Boca off, as real Madrid were having a Poor season back in Spain

Boca Juniors 2 - 2 Real Madrid

Boca win 3-1 on Penalties

Higuain (71), Sami Khedira (102)

Jo (77, 99)

BocaJuniors-RealMad2000ToyotaC.jpg

Boca were World Club Champions. But they clearly shouldn't be, how Real Madrid didn't win is a miracle. They didn't take their chances and had two goals ruled out for questionable offsides. They've had no luck all season.
It was Higuain who scored the opened, he shot deflecting off the post, Jo scored the reply for Boca 13 minutes from time with a unique header to the far post, leaving Casillas with no chance. The game went into extra time with Substitute Santa Cruz getting injured straight away. Jo scored his second corner after a Pastore corner but Sami Khedira scored the equaliser, with a great half volley. The match went to penalties with Jo missing the first. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his then Maxi Rodriguez missed for Boca. Madrid were celebrating like they'd already won. How ever, Marcelo hit the post whilst Pastore scored. Then Higuain fluffed his kick, Romero saving easily. Left back Monzon scored for Boca, whilst Mesut Ozil hit the bar. It was left for Conca to score the winner, and he done just that, giving Boca an unlikely win

I was pretty ****** off to be honest, i had contract negotiations like 4 times, now they refuse to talk to me. The minimum the board would offer me if 4,000 a week, and i'd happily accept that, but you i couldn't click finalise. So on the drop down menu, i select 18,000, which is the lowest option, they ay i am being unrealistic and refuse to negotiate any more. O well, looks like i wont be renewing some players contracts! HAHA

Todays game didn't mean anything, it was about keeping both teams fitness up. The game was slow and the goals scored probably wouldn't have gone in if it was a competitive game.
Boca fielded a reserve side, and it showed as Santos scored on 14 minutes. Promising striker, Noir, scored the equaliser in the second half and substitute Jo headed home the winner on 78.

Mr Drezzy was quick to comment on Boca's quarter final defeat, in the Copa Libertadores. Mr Drezzy said he wanted Boca to do well until he was River Plates manager, but Maradona seems to be doing a good job at ******** things up already. Boca lost 7-1 on aggregate, with a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Vitoria, of Brazil.
Mr Drezzy pointed out that Boca had never lost like that under him. But Mr Drezzy refused to comment further, as Boca were 8 points clear in the league
