When asked on Vincent Tan's reply to Sky Bet's odds, '' Well I think it's just another chairman that's falling into the Murphy trap. I was only stating the fact that I wouldn't want a manager that has been sacked by Villarreal and Valencia'' smirked the charismatic Murphy. Clearly Murphy feels he holds all the cards in this battle and has already took the lead 1.0 on the relegation mind games.[/FONT]

Tan issues response to Murphy

Reporter: what would you like to say to Murphy about his recent comments?
Tan:"He left Valencia actually, wasn't sacked. Could be worse he could have been sacked by: gillingham, Portsmouth and Stoke twice mate, and great to see your accepting the fact that you are a relegation candidate as it didn't suggest that in the odds"

Eddie the Arm Armavich announces 3 new signings.

"I am pleased to be standing here with my lovely new signings. I am sure that there experience and skill will help guide us back up the table where we belong"

"Our first singing is Aaron Hughes from Fulham, Experienced centre back Hughes comes with a wealth of experience to fill the gap left by Clark. he will provide an older head to keep the young guys in check"

"second signing here is Wilfred Zaha from man u on a season long loan. Zaha is one of the most up and coming wingers England has to offer, he wasn't going to be getting much game time at UTD so we are here to offer him some game time and he can help us too."

"Lastly but not least I am here with Jack Rodwell from City who is also on a season long loan, Jack is a great player who has found himself out of favour with the manager. He is here to get match fit again and find his form once more."

Reporter: Do you have any plans to keep your loan signings for longer than the year?

"As much as we would like to keep them I am sure there own teams will want them back, Zaha seems destined for a great career with Utd but hopefully we can work a deal with the City chairman about keeping Rodwell for the foreseeable future."

"I would also like to welcome back Darren Bent from Fulham, he was on loan for about a week but the giant Michael Jackson statue had given him nightmares so both chairmen had agreed to send him back."

Btw you see these quotation marks '' they are used when ever I SAY SOMETHING. When ever there is no '' that means its the media. Yes it can be a difficult concept for some..

Let's be honest though mate, your writing it, and therefore accepting that you are relegation candidates. Also as these mind games you said you're doing in the quotation marks are with 'relegation candidates' it's clear to see you are a relegation candidate. You don't see mourinho playing mind games about who's going down do you?

During an exclusive interview with Sky Sports News Mr Slean spoke for the first time after Kelly's outburst. Slean said this to Jim White, ''For me it's simple ,Kelly has simply lost the plot. Since my departure from Norwich a few days ago he has clearly been unable to deal with the day to day operations of leading a professional football club. I was there I was happy but then Kelly disobeyed and disrespected my integrity. The contract that I signed stated that we were in it together and it was 50/50 club. Mr Kelly being Mr Kelly took over and made decisions that where to be made between us. Even more disappointing was he hid information from me regarding negotiations.'' Slean clearly speaking with passion said ,'' I had to leave as Mark was hard to work with and promises were broken.'' Slean also had one final message for Kelly , ''I have one more thing to say about that man. He is clever he is smart but he will back stab you and that is a fact.'' Slean finished the interview by revealing he is very happy with life at Palace and is looking forward to working at a club where he is loved by the fans.

Kelly Strikes Back... Again

Mark Kelly walks back into the press room, where it seems journalists have began camping out, waiting for the next piece of fighting talk between Tan, Murphy and Kelly. While seventeen clubs seem to be getting on with it with minimum fuss.. well, this happens...

"Ridiculous! Who can I speak to about suing for these disgraceful, personal attacks against me! They will pay for what they have said! I know people... people that could... persuade the chairman of that joke of a club to... resign.. just one phonecall and I'd.. (inaudible whispers from one of the aides of the owner, which causes him to jolt upright) Sorry did that come out? You can ignore all that..

A young hack clears his throat, "Would you like to start by giving a review of the transfer window which just closed?" The owner begins to speak, reaches into his pocket for a drink from a suspicious brown paper bag, and continues, "Well we got some players in, and managed to show we are willing to spend as much as is needed to fulfill our aims." "And what exactly are those aims? Relegation and bankruptcy?" grins a veteran writer. "Quiet you! If a team including players like Charlie Adam, Javier Garrido and Michael Turner doesn't sound like a piece of artwork, you do not know football!"

"Anyway, we brought in Chadli from Spurs, which will add some fantastic skill and creativity to the flanks, Charlie Adam was brought in with sheer seconds to spare, and Matthew Etherington will be a star in five years, I promise you all!" After some confused stares and the sound of fifteen journalists writing furiously, he restarts;

"However I must admit, finding negotiations for Fabio difficult, as days after I thought the deal was confirmed, the chairman, who shall remain nameless ("Isn't it obviously United's chairman" someone asks, before being escorted away by some armed men)... then informed me that I had to increase the offer in order to get the player. It was a frustrating time. I also hope in the future, more owners are active on deadline day, so I can get some panic buys completed quickly."

And with that, he jolts out of his seat, and walks calmly to the door, taking another swig from his brown paper bag...

Kelly feeling the pressure and Tan's 'offer' for Pulis

Aidan Murphy the joint chairman of Crystal Palace has held a shocking and revealing interview with the Daily Mirror. In what will reach all sport's back pages Murphy reveals the 'offer' and his thoughts on Kelly's new media image. Here are some extraordinary questions and answers from the nations most talked about personality Aidan Murphy.

Q. What do you make of Tan's comments about Tony Pulis?

A. Well I'm not quite sure to be honest. [smirking] Tan is the man that offered for Tony in the summer [smirking again]. I think it would be unprofessional to go into the full details of the offer but let's just say Ernesto Valverde was not first choice.

Q. This is quite a news story Aidan. Thank you!! Can you go into it in any detail?

A. No I've said what I said. Think what you like but it's the truth.

Q. So Tan enquired about Pulis?

A. He did.

Q. Incredible. What was your response?

A. My response? [laughing] Seriously? You want my genuine thoughts? [laughing] I'd rather not..

Q. What about Mr Kelly and his 'personality'?

A. I'm not falling for it. It's all a playact. It's really laughable. I can see through him. I can read him like a book. It's a false image to the media. He ain't fooling me, Matthew or Tony. I think it's an image he is using to protect himself from all the pressure he's facing.

Q. Do you agree with these mind games?

A. Mind games? I don't play games? Or do I?

Tan:why would anyone want pulis?

Cardiff have released on their official website Vincent tans response to Aidan Murphy's ridiculous claims. They show 2 key comments in Vincent tans first interview at the club to prove the tony pulis rumours untrue

we want to follow the Barcelona blueprint in which they look to play attacking possession football

Vincent then rubbished new crystal palace chairmans claims they are going down saying" there are only 2 places for teams to go down from considering that 20th place is reserved for the 'long ball side stuck in the past', I don't see how Murphy has the cheek to claim his side are not relegation Certs" before adding" football is an entertainment business and tony pulis doesn't offer this, full compliments to west ham for turning their back on a long ball manager and teams should sack them all and we may finally drive them out of the beautiful game"

"I'm not going to lie, i looked at 3/4 managers for the job at Cardiff before Ernesto impressed the most in our interview. However, as we said at the start we want managers who play football the right way, hence why pulis' name was at the bottom of the list, he was even below signing Titus bramble and making him player manager. If we wanted pulis he'd be here right now rather than at that sh*thole." He continued" we spoke to Aidan privately, but that was discussing Jon Williams who I then opted against signing him. Tony pulis' name didn't come into question."

Tan then told of Murphy's lack of trust for pulis "He also admitted that he doesn't trust pulis with signings, hence the large amount of signings he personally made, trouble in paradise it seems"

The false philosophy

After a successful window which included signing nearly 10 players, appointing Mr Slean and having digs at nearly every manager in the Barclays Premier League, Murphy has pleaded with Tan to stop changing philosophy and ideas. '' I said what I said and he knows it's the truth. I want to move on from this guy as he is only interested in sugarcoating his club with ''possession football'' when everyone knows he has players such as Gary Medel who are only interested in kicking ankles.'' On the 'offer' Murphy said, ''I will not be answering anymore about Pulis and Cardiff because Tony said he was not interested in joining a club that are destined to go down with no stability as he would rather stay at a club pushing to be the dominant force in world football despite receiving a lucrative package to join Cardiff. I want to move on to the future unlike that...Tan.. thing who is only willing to talk about that boring pass side wards pass backwards game to the fans. Anyway we'll let him play his silly game, It is now even more obvious than ever that he has never had any football experience and is nothing more than a business man who likes to talk.''

Murphy then added hours before the start of the season , '' Let's go my friends, we are calm, prepared and ready for anything...''

"2.1) Loans allowed, 3 per season and only 1 can be from a foreign club. All loans will have no fee involved, you will pay 100% of the wage and for your foreign loan you can sign any player that has "Back Up" or lower as the squad status."

Is that rule obsolete?

And is loan deals included in wage spend in post # 191?
- I think my wage spend should be bigger including my loans?

Sorry thats my mistake, used my old rules.

I have amended my loans, cancelling Iago Aspas; Eduardo Salvio; and signing jermaine defoe ?4m.

So that leaves, Milner; van Ginkel; and Shaqri on loan.

Again that's my fault.
I will change the rules next season so that loans are unlimited for chairman to chairman and that you can have just one loan from a foreign team.

As far as your wage goes, I have pulled this straight from FMRTE so it should be bang on.
I am uploading the savegame tomorrow, so as this has been a poor start I will give everyone an opportunity to have a look before I start simming as it seems a few things have been missed, also had to amend my excel spreadsheet that i use to manage this so a few formulas may be a little off.

Shocking turn of events at Craven Cottage

It has been brought to our attention that Fulham Manager has been sacked in the early hours of this morning, the day before preseason.

bornexplorer88 was available to speak, "I am here to announce that Martin Jol has indeed accepted a mutual termination. We talked it out and we didn't agree on a few philosophies and his potential signings he suggested were a bit daft to say the least. I came to the conclusion that the club must go in a new direction and that is up. I will announce the new manager tomorrow, I just need to make a few calls."

bornexplorer88 stormed off away from on rushing press, as he answers his phone, they all managed to hear him say,
"Hola, C?mo est?s? ........... S? bueno gracias ........... Eso est? muy bien, me alegro de o?rlo. ?Nos vemos en el aeropuerto ma?ana."

translated: "Hi, How are you? ........... Yeah good thanks...........That's great, glad to hear it. See you at the airport tomorrow."

We will have to wait until tomorrow.

Murphy a compulsive liar

Tan has once again hit back at the palace chairman labelling him " a compulsive liar" he also challenged the palace chairman to come up with the evidence for the Cardiff bid in a similar way that he is able to come up with the evidence for the palace chairman admitting he doesn't trust pulis. Before finally saying " I have said possession attacking football from the start, and havnt changed this once, in order to play possession you need a ball winner which Gary medel is one of the worlds best of, you can't have 11 David silvas on the pitch, you just won't know that as you're clueless about the footballing world" before finishing " I can't wait to play that sh*t side this season!"

Beckham Fears For The League

David Beckham has come out in the press today to voice his concerns over the way many Chairmen are using the media to tear strips off each other. He explained that the Premier League has never been a war zone between clubs before but that he feels the way these Chairmen are coming out and criticising one another it may leave players and fans embrolied in heated arguments which could be avoided if the chairmen just stayed quiet.
He added that although his Chairman Tobey Mason has spent a lot of cash and come under fire for it, he has been relatively quiet within the media, only once coming out to defend himself against a tirade of abuse from other Chairman, particuarly from the Swansea chairman.

Beckham has said that he hopes things will calm down and the league will soon focus on what's really important and that's the football. He finally added that he is looking forward to the challenge with Hull and that he believes the club will go from strength to strength.

I am just reading through all this and alot of problems already it seems lol.

Is the Sunderland manager even involved? I would have took them if they were available.

And how has Fulham signed Shaqiri from Bayern on loan?

And if Sunderland's chairman has become inactive i would like to throw my name in to take charge. I have never tried this before but looks interesting. Did alot of manager games on 606 sports a few years back if that helps. But been playing FM for years

Rodallega Signs for Stoke

View attachment 475883

Quick announcement to say that Stoke City have signed Hugo Rodallega from Fulham in the dying seconds of the transfer window, with Jonathan Walters and a sum of cash going the other way. Chairman Gabriel Farrell believes this adds some Premier League experience to City's new, youthful attack. Rodallega is Wigan Athletic's all-time Premier League top scorer with 24 goals for the Latics.

View attachment 475884

In answer to his critics who say that this transfer window has left Stoke leaderless and without the required experience necessary to survive in the Premiership, Farrell Responded: 'We have taken a gamble, no doubt about that, but the side we have built is for the long term as much as the short term. These are all quality players, and under the leadership of Hoddle, a quality manager with more experience than most of playing the game at the top level, I have the belief that we will thrive in the Premier League'.

First of all can i just say that i'm loving this years version!! The bitchyness is even better than last years ;) ha

Second, I seen some one moaning about deals being agreed then not followed through, I think I may be one of the culprits and for that i am truly sorry. I think i agreed some deals and did not confirm them, this was NOT on purpose. I completely lost the plot with keeping track of my deals. If any of you guys were effected by my stupidity then i apologise.

I will make sure in the next transfer window i am much more on the ball, there is no excuse.

Press update to follow regarding Chelsea's monumental signings ;) ha

Love this story, especially how everyone takes everything so personally... lol
