Stoke City End of Window Roundup

View attachment 473769

Building on Stoke's 3 earlier signings, Stoke City Chairman Gabriel Farrell has continued his philosophy of revamping City's squad after a flurry of activity in the transfer market.

Players Outgoing:

Peter Crouch (Palace)
Jermaine Pennant (Palace)
Charlie Adam (Norwich)
Matthew Etherington (Norwich)
Richard Shawcross (Man City)
Robert Huth (Man City)

Players Incoming:
Micah Richards (Permanent)
Dedryck Boyata (Permanent)
Jon Williams (Permanent)
Josh McEachran (Loan)
Dongou (Loan)

With Farrell shifting a lot of his experience from the squad in favour of younger players with potential, many see these moves as a gamble. However, the amount of talent in the Stoke City squad is impressive and should the young players bed in quickly they might perform admirably this season.

Micah Richards is thought to be the most high profile incoming transfer for City and his experience will be invaluable if City are to succeed.

Manager Glenn Hoddle is said to be ecstatic with his signings and, due to the club coming out with a profit, will have a certain amount of funs himself to spend.

From the above Table,
Man Utd have signed 7 Players namely Reus, Koke, De Sciglio, A.Sandro, Balanta and Knockaert.
And by the Values applying the individual rules, the Total Value of the Players signed come to 70.1m. But in the Transfer Table shown on the Next Page, the Amt is 88m on 8 Players.

Here"s the Breakdown
Marco Reus - 29.5m
Koke - 12.75m
Alex Sandro - 8.75m (3.5m * 2.5 times)
Eder Balanta - 8.5m (3.4m * 2.5 times)
De Sciglio - 9m (3.6m * 2.5 times)
Knockaert - 6.4m (3.2m * 2 times)
Oliver - 1.6m (800k * 2 times) [havnt appeared for his country nor played 10 times for the senior side]
Total comes upto 70.1m

So can you make the changes accordingly?
Sorry Kai.

Was just a mistake in my excel formula, this as been sorted and will be reflected in final club finances update.

Thanks,

Nice that both players that had different options chosed your own club.
--> instead of two clubs, with actual money on their hands...
And is it allowed to overspend your budget like that?

You have exceeded your budget by over 450 % !?
Hull even more...

Besided that - you've done great work!
Sorry for the bad vibe...

  • You are allowed to gamble your finances, that the whole point of playing as a Chairman. You just have to manage your finances, for example, I plan on finishing in the top 8, so I will receive enough money to balance the books, but in january i may have to sell a few players, because I'm in 16th. Anyone can take that risk, but if you do fall into administration then you butted from that club.
  • In regards to the signings that you and a fellow chairman missed out on, I have always stated that the clubs go to clubs based on "realism". Therefore, most players will go to a club based on reputation, not only club but manager rep will help here. And for example other factors change it, eg. Will Hughes chose Liverpool over Manchester United, because Liverpool was he favoured club, and there Manchester Uniteds rep is irrelevant.
This is the element of realism, so please take this into consideration in future.

Besided that - you've done great work!
Sorry for the bad vibe...

And thanks, it's busy during pre-season and january.

Everyone please read the above also to understand the factors that will affect a transfer and manager change.

Borne do you think it will be worth having a lee way once all the transfer window has been done as i am sure i am going to miss somebodies loan deal with what i have sent to you so far,

I will announce information for transfers that may have been missed, after I have finished the update.

Marco Pavlovski is signed by OFK Begorad and loaned out to Porto.
Why can't I sign him??
Because he is now got a contract to be at another club for this season therefore no deal can be agreed, realistically.
You will be able to request him when the loan is completed, next season i think

Shrewd Spending By Manchester City Chairman As He Utilizes Inflated Squad

The Manchester City chairman has been in contact about his clubs recent transfer dealings, He was quoted as saying.

Reporter - How do you feel your first Domestic Transfer Window Went?

Cool M Cool - Very well, we manage to only have a net spend of ?15million which in todays climate is a masterstroke.

Reporter - Were You sad to see any players leave?

Cool M Cool - I would rather not talk about those who left but the 4 fine players we brought in.

Reporter - Yes 3 out of your 4 signings were for your back 4 do you see a major upheaval in defence?

Cool M Cool - Beyond Zabaleta and Kompany when i first joined the club i didnt rate any of the defenders, In Leighton Baines we have arguably the best LB in the Premiership and the two central defenders are big strong lads who will fight it out with each other to partner Vincent Kompany.

Reporter -What are your thoughts on Ross Barkley?

Cool M Cool - He will become one of Englands best players in the next few years there is no doubt about it i feel that this signing along with the others makes us the team to beat this season.

Reporter - Finally, What do you have anything to say to the other chairman?

Cool M Cool - Yes, Second isn't so bad :P

Reporter - So there you have it, the Cornish Billionaire feels his side are the team to beat and the bookies back him with his side having the best odds to bring the Premiership back to the Blue side of Manchester

Major Changes At Liverpool

Reporter - We are here today at Anfield for a press conference that has been called by new Liverpool Owner Nath Walker to announce his new signings. Hello Nath, We'll start of by asking why Luis Suarez has left the club?

Walker - Luis is not a player that we wanted at the club, his talent is undoubtable but his attitude is terrible, he brings the name of the club down with his antics and me and Brendon decided that he could leave if the right offer came along.

Reporter - The deal that see's Luis leaving also sees Henderson going leaving the club in the same direction....

Walker - Why must we concentrate on players leaving, they are no longer our problem, lets talk about the five players we have coming into the club. First of all we are delighted to announce them all to the club, we have Olivier, Thomas and Aaron who will strengthen the squad immediately and aswell as that we have two of the most exciting prospects in football, with Zelalem and Crowley, who will be major players in the future. Both me and Brendon couldn't be happier with the way that this window went.

Reporter - That's a window that see 2 players leave permanently, 3 players leave on loan and 8 players join. With this new squad how do you rate your chances in the premier league.

Walker - We will challenge this year I'm certain but there are many teams in the league with equally as strong squads as we have so its always going to be difficult. We know our targets for this year, as long as they are met I am happy.

Outgoing

Suarez and Henderson Join Arsenal

Allen joins Swansea (season loan)

Hughes joins Cardiff (season loan)

Incoming

Giroud, Ramsey, Vermaelen, Zelalem and Crowley join from Arsenal

I thought the transfer window was shut?

I thought the transfer window was shut?

I was unable to do my transfers during the window as I had to deal with everyone elses, so I now give you all the option to sign my players, why I try to sign 1 o 2 new players

Hi borne.
Thanks for your reply!
I understand the aspect of the transfer-rules.
But.
Your club and Aston Villa has same reputation, and same goes for your managers. Both players choosed your club.
Your club and my Swansea, has almost same rep and my manager got a slightly better rep than yours.
Both Villa and Swansea had money on their hands - Fulham had not (!).

Personally I wouldn't have let both players go to you. It's not very see-through.
I think you would have done the same if you weren't managing a team, but that is why I think, letting yourself participate in your own games is a bad idea - generally speaking.

Just had to get my point out - but I consider the discussion closed.

Good and fast window-work!!
Looking forward to seeing first half of the season..

Will post transfer-announcement, when I get the time in between my exam.
