With Farrell shifting a lot of his experience from the squad in favour of younger players with potential, many see these moves as a gamble. However, the amount of talent in the Stoke City squad is impressive and should the young players bed in quickly they might perform admirably this season.
Micah Richards is thought to be the most high profile incoming transfer for City and his experience will be invaluable if City are to succeed.
Manager Glenn Hoddle is said to be ecstatic with his signings and, due to the club coming out with a profit, will have a certain amount of funs himself to spend.
