Brendan Rodgers has agreed a deal to become the new manager of Liverpool Football Club. The 39-year-old will sign a three-year contract at Anfield and his appointment islikely to be officially confirmed within 24 hours.Liverpool will pay Swansea City between £4m and £5m in compensation to secure the Northern Irishman's services.
Liverpool sacked former manager and Liverpool icon Kenny Dalglish on 16th May after finishing 8th in the Premier League.
Liverpool owner John W. Henry has had this to say
The main focus of John W. Henry's statement was"Brendan Rodgers's appointment today as manager of Liverpool Football Club is one of the most important steps we will take in building the kind of club on and off the pitch that the supporters can be excited about. He was the first choice unanimously among them and he had no hesitation at all in embracing exactly what we want to try and build at Liverpool".
."we do not expect miracles overnight nor should anyone else"
@GaryLineker tweeted " I feel this could be a very shrewd appointment. Totally get's the way the gameis evolving".
@themichaelowen also tweeted "Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool. Could be a good bit of business. Looking forward to next season's Premier League already!"

P.S. have made several changes to 12.2 database, such as deleting the real Brendan Rodgers and put in myself with the same reputation etc.
Aquilani and Cole are back at Liverpool. Also, as news broke today, Kuyt will no longer be at Liverpool. (also going to make players released free agents - Drogba, King, Owen etc.)
One last thing, i have taken out Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves from the Premier League and replaced them with Reading, Southampton and West Ham as it will be like next season.
