Just so everyone knows I was not too sure on what tactic was best the one on this forum or Laffles, so I ran a demo season Laffles tactic with Man UTD and Brobs with Chelsea, then went on holiday for one season, Laffles finished 10 points clear over Brobs but scored 15 less goals.

So in short if you want an entertaining lots of goals use Brobs tactic, if you want a more solid concede less then use Laffles, but remember I was in holiday mode and if you played the games the outcome I'm sure would be different.

That's not the most accurate way of measuring which tactic is best. Man Utd may have had the better team and/or manager, or vice versa.

This is an odd one, as when I use the tactic I very really concede from corners and freekicks unless it's something special and I think "fair play no keeper could stop that" as I always watch my goals.

My teams got Vermaelen and Koscielny, so you've defence should be better.

That is true and I did think of that, but I re-did the test but swapping the tactics around with manu useing Brobs and chelsea with laffles and Chelsea finished 13points ahead of Manu, could be coincidence :S
 
Hi Brobs,

Firstly many thanks for your tactic, I was using your rarely tactic for a Liverpool save, had mixed results for the first 15 games team morale went to poor, switched to the Brobs_Hough tactic and had lot more sucess with this, completing a domestic treble, and knocked out of the Euro cup semi finals on away goals. After a 69 game season i think i can forgive my players for not getting the quadruple.
Just out of interest when you get a player sent off (which happens quite regularly) what positon do you tend to take off?

A little hint, when your player recieves a yellow card, reduce his tackling to mixed or more cautious, so he doesn't take another one.
 
I've been playing Sunderland for over half of season and I might be the first one not really satisfied yet. What bothers me most is defence - 40 conceded goals, which is the most in the league. I get majority of goals from set pieces and failed offside traps (bad positioning of my defence). Is it to early to panic? I'm going to finish this season and try another one maybe, though I'd be grateful for any advice.

That's because you're not supposed to be playing an outfield player on the GK position!

This tactic along with all of yours kicks ***. They always create chances and play nice attractive football while remaining solid at the back. Only thing which I think could be improved on is the defending from corners, seem to concede a few from them but never enough to be a problem. I currently use it for Celtic and for Hajduk taking Celtic to the semi finals of the Champions League one season losing to Aston Villa (my main team in the save). Looks like it will take Hadjuk through the group stages with Real Madrid, Inter and Panathinaikos in the group so very impressive. They have some great young talent (mostly African) which is a long way from peaking at the moment so hoping for great things from them in the future.

I tried to find players according to Brobs requirements, so I bought:
Roland Juhasz CB, Head:17, Marking: 19, Tackling: 15, Stamina: 16 (although quite slow)
Erick Matoukou FBR, Positioning: 15, Tackling: 15, Pace: 12 , Heading: 16, Marking: 18, Teamwork: 17, Work rate: 17
Enis Hajri FBR/L, Positioning: 14, Tackling: 14, Pace: 14, Heading: 14, Marking: 13, Teamwork: 11, Work rate: 14
Per Skjelbred AMC, Passing: 15, Technique: 16, Workrate: 18
Steve Sidwell MC, Passing: 14, Tackling: 14, Stamina: 17, Workrate:16, Technique: 12
Christian Benitez FS, Pace: 16, Dribbling: 16, Technique: 14, Acceleration: 17, Off the ball: 14 and Finishing: 16

During winter window I hired Johnatan Woodgate and he's playing well (7 games, 4 goals from corner kicks), better than other FB.
At the beginning I thought that Sunderland has really good players for that tactic (Gyan, Muntari, Cattermole, 2 good keepers). Now I have doubts, don't really know what's not working. Obviously I stick to the Brobs rules : no Opponents instructions, small sized pitch etc.

Stick with it tonbery, just keep improving your squad where you can and I'm sure you will have success using this tactic. I'd definitely keep Cattermole, he is a very good ball winning midfielder. Maybe get someone a little more creative alongside him.

i was training aik in sweden and struggling changed to this one and fininshed second. second season with this tactic i was unbeaten half way thru.
feyenoord offer me the manager job. i took it and won the league the cup and the euro cup!!!
 
hi brobs you always ask assistant the eleven starts before a match?
