TEAM NEWS FOR SELECTED MATCHES

Scunthorpe will assess the fitness of defender Rob Jones, who has been suffering from a knee problem. Jim McNulty may miss out again with an ankle complaint, while winger Garry Thompson (groin) is out until November.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to rest the bulk of the side that beat Liverpool.
Michael Owen will start up front, with the likes of Javier Hernandez, Bebe, Anderson, Darron Gibson and Gary Neville also expected to play.


Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has said he will use several youngsters for Wednesday's Carling Cup team.
England duo Frank Lampard and John Terry are again ruled out, but both should be fit to face Manchester City on Saturday.


Newcastle are expected to hand a debut to summer signing Sol Campbell.
Steve Harper's shoulder injury means Tim Krul will start in goal, while striker Leon Best could be on the bench after recovering from an ankle problem.


Aston Villa will assess centre-back Richard Dunne, who hobbled off against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday with a knee injury.
Winger Stewart Downing is expected to be fit despite suffering a gashed shin at the weekend.​

Defender Ryan Nelsen, who needed pain-killing injections to play against Fulham, is unlikely to feature.

Beckfords having a disaster start to his Everton career.

And I don't think it'll get any better.

He's not of Premier League standard, and to be fair, he's better off in League 1/Championship.

Gutted. Just a bit too slow.
Wierd line up. Hernandez and macheda don't really strike me as the type of strikers that would be comfortable out wide.
