Chairman Game - Conquering the Premier League

Summer Transfer Window Open

I have simmed to July 1st and am now opening the window. I will say now that some clubs have already done some transfers in this window so make sure you check exactly what your manager has done. This also effects your budgets as well so if you have a very high budget, it is possible that your manager may have sold one of your star players.

Brighton – Reifi - £15 Million Budget

Manager Movements

Rafa Benitez (Newcastle) – Offered new job, replaced with Nuno Espirito Santo
Zinedine Zidane (Fulham) – Offered new job, replaced with Abel Ferreira

For the clubs with sacked managers, let me know which of these 3 things you would like to do

  1. [*=center]I can reinstate your previous manager for free
[*=center]You can decide on your own new manager. (if they are at a club, you will need to pay their compensation)
[*=center]You can keep the manager the in-game chairman decided on. (This is the default option if you do not give a response)

If your manager left for a new job then you can not bring him back. Your choices are to choose your own new manager or to keep the in-game chairman’s decision.

Transfer Window

The transfer window is now open. The window will be open until Saturday 6pm (I have family plans this weekend so this may change to Sunday if necessary).

Chairman Game - Conquering the Premier League

Well ****... 9th isn't anywhere near our amazing 5th place finish last season but at least we're in the top half! Disappointing European campaign too and a bit sad to lose out on an FA Cup final but our squad is definitely getting stronger so hopefully we can push even more next season!

Thanks bcfc1 for all these updates btw, having ran a few chairman games myself I know how much work it takes so I (and I'm sure all the other chairmen too!) really appreciate the effort you've put into it! :)

Have to say i'm relatively disappointed in our collapse from 7th in January, however a top 10 finish for Newcastle is nothing to be scoffed at. With Rafa hopefully remaining at the help we can look to push on next season... assuming we have a budget.

I'd also like to echo the comments from Linecoigne and thank BCFC for the work he has done in running this and i hope to see it continue as it has been well run to date.

Thanks for the praise guys. I have only ran one chairman game before this and it wasn't a massive success so I am still learning as it is going along. If you have any ideas/advice on making it better then feel free to let me know.

Thank God we managed to survive!

I am away at the moment, therefore cannot do any transfer business! If you are interested in my player I could still strike a deal for you.

HYPE

Made Finals of FA Cup and got out of debt.... LES GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Very solid season finishing 11th but it'd me nice if the managers left me some money for once and stopped dragging it further into the negative!

I'd also like to thank BCFC1 for all of the updates and hard work which he puts into creating this for us. Thanks.

I am not currently at my computer so I am extending the transfer window for another couple of hours until 8pm.

I still haven't heard from a few chairmen so hopefully this gives everyone enough time to send me their deals.

Just got mine to you, sorry on vacation at a wedding all weekend!

Nuno's Newcastle Nightmare

Nuno Espirito Santo has joined Newcastle replacing recently departing Rafa Benitez at the helm, he now faces the challenge of developing the club into a premier league powerhouse building on Newcastle's top 10 finish last season.
The down side to this is that Newcastle chairman Stellious Ioannou has spent too much time engaging with his other business EasyJet, filming the next season of "Come fly with me" with the end result being that he has completely forgotten to to fly back to Newcastle to conduct transfer business.

Nuno is apparently appalled at this carelessness and is already threatening a resignation, on the other hand the outburst by Nuno is leaving many believing that his days are already numbered at Newcastle.

Sorry for no activity over this window....been moving house and have no internet at the new home until later today

Gotta love Bournemouth bringing in Ronaldo on 1m p/w wages!!!!!!!

In the last two years we have been competing for the Everton trophy (Best team outside of the top 6). Should be fun to see how this move swings it one way or another!!!

There have been some big transfers in the Premier League. The one that really stands out to me is Eden Hazard moving from Chelsea to Man Utd.

To look at the transfers involving our chairmen clubs, Richarlison’s move to PSG was the biggest one, while Bournemouth made two big sales with Lewis Cook and David Brooks leaving for a possible combination of £118.5mil.

We have only one team in the Championship but they did lose a few players as Cork, McNeil and Tarkowski all left Burnley. It will be interesting to see how they do without these players in their squad.

It may be very early on but we have a couple of chairmen clubs breaking into the top 6. Crystal lead the way in 3rd place while Bournemouth are in 6th. The other highlight to see is that we only have one chairmen club in the bottom 3 at the moment (Wolves). Both promoted teams, Huddersfield and West Ham, have started okay and sit just outside the relegation zone.

Burnley have made a solid but unspectacular start and sit in 8th place after 7 games.

I am simming to January now and will be posting that up soon.

Not the best start with Conte in charge but at least we still haven't lost yet! Hoping Ronaldo will be in great form this season to get some European football back!

January 2021 Update

Bournemouth are once again leading the way for the chairmen teams as they sit in 5th place. The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo has clearly helped as he scored 16 goals for them, more than double their next top goalscorer. Everton, Newcastle and Huddersfield round out the top 10.

At the bottom, it looks as though
Watford and Southampton are once again in a relegation battle. It is still very close with there being just 5 points between 11th and 19th place though so you could class everyone in the bottom half as being in the relegation battle still.

Championship

Our one chairman team in the Championship are looking as though they will be bouncing straight back up as they sit at the top of the Championship and have a 7 point gap on 3rd place.

League Cup

We have one chairmen club left standing as we get to the semi-final stages as
Wolves face Arsenal. They already knocked out Man City in the previous round so they can be confident of another underdog win. The other semi-final is Man Utd v Aston Villa.
