Summer 2021 Transfer Update

attachment.php

There have been some very big transfers this window. The biggest one is Chelsea bringing in Milinkovic-Savic but there have also been some big transfers involving our chairmen clubs. The biggest one is Southampton losing Joao Felix to Man City for £76mil. Wolves lost Moussa Dembele and Ruben Neves for a combined total of £108mil. An interesting one for me is Brighton signing Fred for just £22.5mil.

Both chairmen teams in the Championship have lost some big players this summer. Leicester lost both Maddison and Ndidi which is a big loss to their midfield. Watford seemed to lose half of their squad as Masina, Hughes, Chalobah, Becao, Nketiah, Townsend, Kagawa, Cathcart, Saelemaekers all left and that is only from the top page of sales from the Championship.

It is still very early on but there are some interesting things happening at the top. Southampton sit in 2nd place and Huddersfield sit in 6th as the two chairmen teams breaking into the top 6. What is really interesting is Chelsea are down in 14th place. Lets how that continues and a few of us begin to break into the top 6.

Championship

Two teams in the Championship and they are the top 2 in the league so far. Watford are still unbeaten but they sit in 2nd due to 2 draws. The hope will be that both of these can be promoted and them Premier League will be full of chairmen teams again.

Oh dear, 12th lol. We didn't have the best of starts in previous years too but with just £11 million to spend and no signings this summer, I feel like we might've fallen behind some other chairmen teams :(

Gutted to have lost Neves even if it was for 51m... pretty pumped that Spurs bought Moussa for 30m more than what I was going to charge you guys though!

7th is not too bad; we will have to see where the season takes us!! Hoping for a charge on!!

Ahh man, gutted to lose Felix! Although I knew it was coming! Far too good for our team. At least I should have a bit of money to splash in January.

Also what a great start! Sitting in 2nd with 4 straight wins! Let's hope that continues! Can't have another relegation battle!

Mid-Season Update

Premier League

Once again it is
Bournemouth the lone chairmen team breaking up the top 6. It is still very close between themselves, Tottenham and Chelsea so anything could happen in the second half of the season. Three chairmen teams Fulham, Southampton and Wolves round out the top 10.

For the first time, I think, I can say there are no chairmen teams in the bottom three of the Premier League. We have a few teams sitting right outside though so do not feel as though you are all safe. The bottom three seem to be having very poor seasons though so we may end up with a season where no chairmen team gets relegated.

Championship

We have two teams in the Championship and both are doing well.
Leicester sit in 2nd place and are only 3 points off of the top, and Watford are in 4th place and are only 3 points off of the automatic places. They are both doing well so far and it looks as though there is a good chance of having both clubs return to the Premier League this season.

League Cup

This has to be one of the most interesting chances to win a cup so far. One of the semi-finals is completely made up of chairmen teams as Newcastle face Bournemouth. The other semi-final has Man City face Aston Villa who are about to be taken over by a new chairman. It will be very interesting to see if he can walk in and be the first chairmen to win a competition.

Get in lads! I'll take it! Made it back to the top 6 in the league and in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, I pray we can go and win some silverware now :D

Manager Movements

Thierry Henry (Brighton) – Sacked, Replaced with Patrick Vieira
Maurizio Sarri (Everton) – Sacked, Not yet replaced
For the clubs with sacked managers, let me know which of these 3 things you would like to do

  1. [*=center]I can reinstate your previous manager for free
[*=center]You can decide on your own new manager. (if they are at a club, you will need to pay their compensation)
[*=center]You can keep the manager the in-game chairman decided on. (This is the default option if you do not give a response)

If your manager left for a new job then you can not bring him back. Your choices are to choose your own new manager or to keep the in-game chairman’s decision.
Transfer Window Open

The transfer window is now open. The window will be open until Monday 8pm BST.

our managers like to spend that money on their own. Example Didier dufus spending 46m on Tom Davies last year

Paul Scholes takes over Aston Villa

After his ill fated tenure in charge of Oldham and realising how badly some football clubs are run (looking at you, Ed Woodward), Paul Scholes has decided to take matters into his own hands. He has promised financial stability and long-term focus.

Here are some excerpts from his interview with Gary Neville (very impartial interviewer, that):

Nev: Congratulations Paul. Well Done. How do you feel today?

Paul: Good. I wanted to do something that provided a platform for footballers to go out there and express themselves and not worry about off-field problems. I am looking forward to that.

Nev: Always great to see you do so well. How would you address the issue that Villa Park hasn't been full week-in week-out for a while now?

Paul: Well we'll play football the right way and hopefully people will turn up. And if that doesn't work, maybe bring Becks over to the director's box for a few games.

Nev: Like I have done in Salford. Very Good Paul. Amazing. So great to see you do so well.

Paul: Erm, Gaz, I just started here.

Nev: Oh, yes. I mean you will do very well indeed. Good luck then.

After that er, ice-breaking interview, Paul was asked about his transfer and managerial plans.
" I am delighted with the work Andy Scott has done so far. I would like to give him and all the players enough time to prove themselves. I believe faith and stability could go a long way in this game. "

I am new to the forum, and I dunno why the picture (in the post above) is shown in form of a link. Can anyone help me please?
Thanks in advance.

I do not want to end up with a negative budget, I leave West Ham. I need is a club with a positive budget...

Is there any action we could take to address budgets. I completely understand the update dates for obvious reasons. I just can’t imagine a PL chairman having this little power. I have been in debt for 5 consecutive transfer windows and haven’t made any high risk/cost signings. I think it would be beneficial for chairmen and the quality of the game if we could discuss a way to address this as I know I am not the only chairmen who has had little money. I obviously appreciate that there is very little BCFC can do from an update point of view (unless I am wrong) and don’t want to undermine how great of a job he has done in running this game. I just think that by enhancing finances to a reasonable and even realistic level then the game would be much better off for it

It would make transfers windows more interesting if we could find a way! I the idea of creating a points table that was mentioned could be adapted so it offered financial boosts.

E.G player finishes top scorer you get extra 10m to balance! I know that means BCFC would have to spend more time adjusting club balances though!

Agree, but maybe do it like this. Last chairman club in prem league gets 30 mil, second to last 20 mil and 3rd to last 10 mil. This way the bottom clubs have a bigger chance to compete for top 6 places (plus top 6 places get more money also from prem TV deals, i think).

and rest is up to the chairmen genius transfers

That would be an idea if competition was the main issue at play. But for example, myself as Newcastle has had x2 top 10 finishes and another mid-table finish yet havent had a positive balance in the last 3 years. This is whilst having no major earners (by PL standard)

I think have financial bonuses for achievements would be good! Having a good season or a stand out performer in a season will give you a financial reward!
