CHAIRMAN GAME - FINISHED AFTER 10 SEASON. NEW LEAGUE STARTING SOON

Chelsea Season Review 2023/24
Frank Lampard.jpg

Chelsea FC owner Didier Drogba today announced the sacking of manager Frank Lampard. Lampard served the club well during his spell, winning the Champions League but ultimately failing to secure a Top 4 finish with the likes of Frenkie De Jong, Luka Jovic and Joao Felix as attacking qualities in the side saw him lose his job. The club has announced their new manager to be the Portuguese tactitian Sergio Conceicao.
Sergio Conceicao.jpg

Conceicao is not the most familiar name in football, but pundits feel he could go under the radar and be an excellent manager for Chelsea's system. He boasts a fine record with FC Porto, went to manager Borussia Dortmund, where he guided the club to a Bundesliga win, finishing 15 points clear of Bayern. Clearly, he is a very good manager, capable of adapting and Chelsea expect big things from their new man in charge.

breaking news.jpg

A consortium headed by Wolves legend Steve Bull have reportedly pooled finances together to buy the club from billionaire company Fosun International. The moves comes as speculation mounted around the ability of Fosun to continue to invest.
df59d60ff39189de37c525e5bbefd60d.jpg

New chairman Steve Bull has said that he is "beyond amazed" at the opportunity that has presented itself to him. He has been itching to get back into the world of football after his last management stint at Stafford Rangers in 2008 ended after only 9 months.
giapierogasperiniatalanta3105a.jpg

The question on many fans lips now is whether or not Italian manager Gian Piero Gasperini will keep his job at the Molineux after last seasons mid table finish. Mr Bull has so far refused to to comment on the matter but instead chose to say: "there must be big changes at this club. We have stagnated for far too long". Wolves fans will be hoping that Bull is the one to bring those changes.

01 - PL Table.JPG

As we go just passed the 1st quarter of the season, it is Tottenham who lead the way for a change, followed by Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton. Man Utd sit 4th and just 2 points seperate the top 4. There is then a 6 point gap to Man City who sit 5th.

As for the relgation battle, Burnley and newcomers Huddersfield are really struggling and have only won 1 game so far and both conceding over 20 goals already. West Ham and Southampton sit just above on 9 points.

01 - Premier League Stats.JPG

It is business as usual with Haaland topping the goalscoring charts with 6 goals so far.

02 - Championship Table.JPG

3 of the 6 chairman teams find themselves in the top since with recently relegation Bournemouth and Watford occupying the top 2 spots. Cardiff sit 5th. The other 3 chairman clubs sit 8th, 10th and 11th.

02 - Championship Stats.JPG

Watford have rally found the net this season and it shows as they have 2 joint goalscorers to go along with Whittaker of Derby.

No real surprises in the competition again and Tottenham are still in the competition with a chance of retaining their crown.

No problems so far for the 4 premier league teams as they are all comfortably within the top 2 of their groups.

Two premier league clubs compete in the Europa League with both Norwich and Chelsea topping their groups and look odds on to qualifty

Now onto something I was not aware of. A new competition started called "EURO CUP 2". Which started in the 2021/22 season. Brighton actually won this competition 2 years ago and we didn't even know haha.

Euro Cup 2 (Started in 21.22 Season - Arsenal).JPG

Arsenal are apart of the competition this year and have impressively already qualified for the next round after only 3 games.

This is similar to the Europa league except the teams the finish 3rd in the Europa league drop into the Euro Cup 2 competition and the same format is followed where they are drawn against the 2nd placed clubs from the Euro Cup 2 groups with the group toppers moving to the last 16.

From the next season (25/26) I will be allowing people already in the league to change 1 of their clubs to anyone in England no matter what the league. Same with new people who want to join. So far Sunderland, AFC Wimbledon and Ipswich have been selected.

Well it was not a repeat of the previous years' final as Everton dominate the tie over Norwich. Tottenham reach the final for the 2nd year running. Can they retain their title?

They can't. Yohann Weber with an 89th minute goal gives the Carabao Cup to EVERTON this year.

4 chairman clubs reach the semi-final with Man City favourites to take the crown this year. But will they?

Only Tottenham and Man City remain in this years' champions league with tough ties against Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Can anyone stop the dominant reign of Real Madrid this competition.

06 - Europa League Last 16.JPG

Well it was the last 16 which was the end of the England challenge for this years Europa League as both Chelsea and Norwich are knocked out by German opposition. Chelsea lose out on away goals while a dominate 3-0 in by Dortmund at home confirm Norwich's fate.

07 - Euro Cup II QF.JPG

While in Europa League II, Arsenal keep the English hope alive as they reach the quarter finals. Surely one of the favourites to win this competition?

NEXT UPDATE: THE PREMIER LEAGUE RUN IN

PREMIER LEAGUE RUN-IN (2 GAMES TO GO)

TITLE AND EUROPE

2 Games Left - PL (Title and Europe).JPG

Well the battle for the title is mathematically down to 4 teams with 2 games to go although Tottenham and Man City have a game in hand. Man City will likely need a miracle and win all 3 games while the top 3 lose all their remaining games.

Everton have already secured their spot in Europe next year with their Carabao Cup win. They have a champions league but again, a huge miracle needed. The final europe spots are between Arsenal, Chelsea and Norwich with 4 points separating the 3.

RELEGATION

2 Games Left - PL (Relegation).JPG

It is quite close in the relegation battle which goes down to 7 teams. Huddersfield must win both their games and hope Burnley and Southampton lose both of theirs. West Ham need to win at least 1 of their games if they are to escape. Fulham and Newcastle look set to survive barring some major results.

PREMIER LEAGUE RUN-IN (1 GAME TO GO)

TITLE AND EUROPE

1 Games Left - PL (Title and Europe).JPG

Well the battle for the title is still mathematically all 4 teams. Tottenham lose their game in hand which would have seen them lift the title since 1960/61. Liverpool are likely the main challengers to the crown as they only sit 1 point behind while Man Utd and Man City will still need that miracle as they are 3 points behind Tottenham but with a much better goal difference.

Everton have secured 5th spot this year and will compete in the Europa League. Chelsea also secure their spot in Europa with a 5 point cushion over Norwich, who are battling Arsenal for the final european spot.

RELEGATION

1 Games Left - PL (Relegation).JPG

Well the win by Southampton seals Huddersfield's fate of relegation (Huddersfield only drew anyway) while a West Ham defeat confirms they will be playing Championship football also next season. The final spot will be decided on the final day with Burnley massive favourites to join West Ham and Huddersfield due to their far worse goal differences.

Final PL Game.JPG

Well what an end to the season and TOTTENHAM have only went and won the Premier League!! But they have done it the hard way! After 13 minutes they were 2-0 down away to Leicester and nothing changed until half-time. But whatever was said during the interval really sparked the team as within the next 15 minutes, they were 3-2 up and that is how it finished giving Spurs there first league title in over 60 years!!! It was needed as Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City all won their final games.

01 - PL Table.JPG

Chelsea confirm 6th place with a 2-0 win over Villa while Norwich just miss out on 7th by goal difference.

RELEGATION
Well as mentioned, it was Burnley who joined West Ham and Huddersfield next year in the Championship but was an uphill challenge as they face Man City on the final day and losing 4-1. Once again, Southampton pull themselves together in the final few games taking 7 points from their final 3 games after being 1 point from safety. Huddersfield end on a high with a 3-2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates while West Ham flop in front of their home fans suffering a 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

01 - PL Player Stats.JPG

EFL Championship Banner.png

02 - Championship Table.JPG

Well it is Watford who take the title this year as they dominate the league and end with 101 points. Bournemouth take 2nd as a point was enough to pip Derby to the automatic promotion spots by 1 point. But Derby were able to bounce back and get back into the premier league as they defeat another chairman club Cardiff in extra time in the playoff final. 5 Chairman clubs finish in the top 7.

Man City were also able to make it to the final of the champions league but were not able to stop Real Madrid's reign of dominance in this competition as an old rivals player, Mason Greenwood, scores the winner. Man City mush be disappointed as Real have 4 shots in total with both on target going in.

Some positive news in europe as Arsenal take the Euro Cup II title and secure their spot in the Europa League next season.

BUDGETS FOR 2025/26 AND SAVE FILE

This season, I am doing away with random teams and allowing people to be anyone in England as long as they are in one of the leagues as far down as Vanarama North/South! Any further down will not be allowed.

There will also be some new transfer rules coming into play from this season:

As we van see it is very tight at the top, and this prem season looks like it could eclipse last seasons fiasco, Arsenal Continue to dissapoint in 12th, Derby, Watford and fulham are currently in the bottom 3 But with plenty of games to go. Everton will be disappointed with their start With Leicester and wolves propping up the european places currently.
Haaland continues to be at the top of the scoring charts, but a few new faces on the top assist and scorers board, could we see a new top scorer for this season?

EFL_Championship.png

Screenshot (52).png

Screenshot (54).png

Bristol City currently lead the way in the championship, with West Ham firmly on their tail! Palace and Sunderland under new ownership fill up some of the play off spots. Could we see a revival at Sunderland that their fans have been longing for every season?
Huddersfield scoring goals a plenty as two of their players fill the top scorers. Pellegri at Gazza's palace fills the final spot.

League 1.png

Screenshot (56).png

The action for our sole League 1 club wimbledon is sadly at the bottom of the table. With a game in hand but they seem to be embroiled in a Relegation clash, one of which their chairman will hope they get out off.

League 2.jpg

Screenshot (58).png

Wow our sole league 2 chairman is off to a flyer. New manager Thierry Henry and Assistant Gary Neville will be thrilled with the start they have made! Can they already start to plan for League 1 next season? How far can little Wycombe go?

Vanarama south.jpg

Screenshot (60).png

Both of our chairman who have set themselves the task of starting in the vanarama South have started well. Barnet lead so far but Dulwich have games in hand and are close on their tail. Can both go up? Only time will tell

fa cup.jpg

Screenshot (62).png

Wycombe Wanderers host Sheffield Wednesday, Wimbledon Host Telford and Dulwich Host Cambridge, All very winnable ties, well done to Dulwich for making it through to the first round proper as a semi professional club!

Caraboa Cup.jpg

Screenshot (64).png

The Quarter finals of the Carabao Cup features chairman clubs a plenty. West ham being the only club outside the top flight to make it, but do face a very strong Tottenham side who have pedigree in this competition. Many good sides left in this draw.

Champions league.jpg

Screenshot (67).png

Screenshot (69).png

All chairman clubs should progress in the champions league, not all are top but all of them have points in hand over 3rd and 4th.

Europa League 2.jpg

Screenshot (71).png
Screenshot (73).png

Very similar in the Europa League. All Chairman teams should progress from their group making English football very dominant so far in Europe!
