If Traore is home sick on your game, go to Ivory Coast national team and sign Bonaventure Kalou on a free, he also gets a work permit if you have those issues.

Good story mate and confirms my suspicions that I overpaid for Sandro!!
How is Traore getting on as he is homesick in my game...
But he is banging them in for Ivory Cost U21 so gonna be patient with him.
Who u gonna buy with the extra cash?

Vagner Love has also signed a new loan deal in real life yesterday too back in Brazil

Nah trust me you didn't overpay for Sandro, he's been awesome for me! Traore is fine with me, he is scoring goals and doesn't appear to be homesick.

Not sure who I am going to buy, as you will see with my next monthly update (In around 15 minutes) things are looking a lot better, I will probably try and get a defender or 2 to be honest as I am very happy with my attack and midfield. I just spent a bit of money on making Guilherme's loan move permanent and his first game since he bags a hat trick :)

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE DRAWN

CSKA have been drawn a very tough group in the group stages of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League. They were drawn in Group B as second seeds:

Liverpool
CSKA Moscow
Dinamo Kiev
Wolfsburg

''This is a tough group to qualify from but based on our good current form I have faith that the players have enough in them to qualify from this''

August

This month was also the transfer window for Russia so we had to do any dealings to improve the squad this month...

The following results may show an improvement because of these transfers.

A really good performance from us and we are showing signs of improvement every game. To see the squad gelling so well is really pleasing to see.

Russian Cup rnd7: This was a game where we could have played a weakened side however I wanted to maintain the team confidence so we put out a near full-strength side.

Really unsure how we didnt win this one, one of our best performances of the season against a very good Zenit side. Overall I am pleased though.

Fantastic result, we really showed a cutting edge today and I am pleased for Guilherme to wrap up his new permanent deal with a hat trick.

All things considered this is a massive win and a huge 3 points for us. Yet again Guilherme brought home the bacon for us.

A real lacklustre performance from us upfront. We had 19 shots on goal and created 6 clear cut chances but could not find the back of the net. It's a real shame considering previous results.

LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR:

It is still ridiculously close at the top of the table. The title can be anyones now, even Spartak have hauled themselves back into the race with 9 games left.

OUR NEXT GAME IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL, AWAY TO SATURN, AN ABSOLUTE MUST WIN FOR US...

SATURN(1st) V CSKA MOSCOW(2nd)

The biggest game of our season so far, this is never an easy place to go just like teams have found out this season. This is not a must win, we must ensure that we do not lose this game. As it stands we are 3 points behind Saturn with 9 games to play and we cannot afford for this gap to widen.

Saturn 7/4 Draw Evs CSKA 5/4

After 10 minutes I thought things could not possibly get any worse for us, in my opinion it was a very harsh decision however this is the 2nd time in a row Kryvtsov has been sent off and I will be having words with the player. After going 2-0 down, I changed tactics to 4-2-3 to really try and take the game to the opposition and it really did pay dividends. All in all I am delighted with how the 2nd half panned out especially against a side who had won their last 6 league games and we still have 8 games to overturn the 3 point deficit.

September update to proceed shortly.

very similar story to mine, see link before, hard to attract to players to eastern europe though! keep up the good work anyhow!

Yeah it is difficult to bring in some top players due to my small wage budget as well :( But hopefully a good European and league campaign will boost the coffers. And yeah I'm liking your story as well, keep it up :)

What tactic are you using?

First time I took charge of CSKA Moscow,I used a 3-5-2,with Ignasevich and the Berezutskiy brothers being my main 3 defenders.Worked quite well. :)

I'm using the complete dominance 10.2 with a couple few alterations (I'll let you know at the end of the season how well it has worked!)

September

Overall a fairly good month for us kicking off our Champions league campaign and also still fighting in the title race which is as close as ever with 4 points separating the top 5 with 6 games to play!!

This was very pleasing for us in our first Champions League game of the season, the side are really starting to link well together now. Just at the right time.

I am devastated with this one. We may have scored 3 goals but they were all over us the whole game and they thoroughly deserved their point. However I am absolutely furious and am praying that these dropped points don't come back to haunt us.

It was vital to win this game and I delighted with the fight that the players showed to win this game very late on.

If we could have got anything from this game it would have been a bonus but in the end their ''quality'' prevailed with the main donkey himself Andriy Voronin bagging a brace. It is times like these that make me think what has the world come to.

We are in a good position and I am very happy with our standing after 2 group games. It is crucial that we beat Wolfsburg in our next game though.

Ridiculously close, I don't really need to describe this. Any one of 5 teams is capable of winning this league this season.

Here ya go, I can see some people are suspended/injured - I just put my preferred starting XI in for you :)

When I was CSKA, I found myself fighting for Mamaev from teams like Barca, Chelsea, Arsenal, United
He was a great player for me, his average ratings looking for you :P

Sweet Story mate really enjoying it! How is that Belaid guy playing for you?

Yeah Mamaev is playing really well for me :) A very good little player.

He has only scored 3 in 9 for me from AM but his average rating in Europe and League competitions is about 7.7! He isn't in the first team plans at the moment due to the good performances of my preferred foursome in midfield.

Oh right mate! Would you reccomend him for my Braga team he loosks like he has great stats!

Keep it Up mate you can pinch it!

Thanks mate, yea I would definitely recommend it. Finishing stat of 18!!

And yeah, I've stopped FMing for a bit now but I have managed to play a couple of games of October - I am not giving anything away but lets put it this way, it is stupidly close still with 4 games left. Lets let the suspense build for a bit :)

To add to the tension: I wont be posting an update till later on tonight after football. How will I get on???

End of season update!!!

So many questions will be answered in this final update. Did CSKA win the league? Did they even qualify for the Champions league next season? And speaking of the Champions League how did they fare in their difficult group?

View attachment 28327

An important result for us where we really took advantage of the Wolfsburg sending off. This all but sealed our passage into the 2nd round.

View attachment 28328

This was really disappointing against a poor lowly side. Just how costly did this defeat prove to be with the league so close?

View attachment 28323

A really convincing performance from our boys which gave us a massive boost going into the last league game of the season. With Rubin losing their game it was crucial for us to make the most of it.

View attachment 28324

We have qualified for the 1st knockout round with a sensational attacking display! I could not pick any faults from our front men but again defensively we fell asleep.

View attachment 28326

A good display from our lot, I was very nervous until the final whistle had blown. AND THAT'S IT!!!! CSKA MOSCOW ARE CROWNED RUSSIAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

View attachment 28329

This really does show how close it was, Rubin were leading the way until the 2nd to last game of the season. I am ecstatic with the form shown by us in the 2nd half of the season and we will definitely be looking to build from this in the Champions League campaign.

Unfortunate result but we are already through so who cares!!!
