Tested original with crystal palace and found I wasn't scoring much and having numerous long shots, so changed to standard, flexible and it improved. Won the league with everton in my second test save, scoring 97 goals. Would have scored more but I kept testing different changes. Very good against big teams, but I noticed that I have trouble with teams who sit back and eventually resort to long shots. Trying to fix that but any ideas would be helpful. Great job, TFF.

Put FBs on support and added work ball into box.
WARNING: I haven't tried this with any other team, my teams average CA is 136 which is a lot higher than the league average.
But I am through to the 2nd round of Champions league after being unlucky against PSG in my group and finishing 2nd.

Nice going. Newcastle' s should also be the highest in the league. I felt teams eventually figured that out and either sat back and tight or played 5 at the back. It made it very difficult to create chances,. Against Reading for example, I dominated but couldn't score a second, once it came they changed to a 442 and I scored two more. Against bigger teams, it was flawless. I won both the Efl and FA cup,beating Arsenal, Chelsea and City. In this games, I used the man marking wkdsoul suggested. However, against hull (earlier pic) , this left huddlestone free and I removed it. Against city (earlier post) , I used it but also told my df to man mark their dm. One reason I might have struggled for goals might be the fact that Gayle likes to beat offside trap. He started only 24 games and yet led the league comfortable in offside, he also scored 19,but didn't link well with the midfield against tight defences. Would try your tweak if I have the same problems in epl.
I also added close down more to my defence, as during my test save, big teams were tearing my team apart with crosses. It's a bit of a risk as at times it might harm the defence line. But it worked well and I was able to equal the shutouts record with everton. Of course, Leicester then happened, but that was just random. I was able to come from 4-1 down at half time and lead 5-4 only for them to equalize immediately. Anyways, happy testing and if you have any feedback or advice, please share. Mate, he is a bad choice for the AMCs positions in this tactic and I wouldn’t recommend buying him.
At the start of the game his CA is 152 and his PA is 164, it means that 92% of his possible CA is already allocated and he will not be changing in the future.
His CA is allocated very poorly for AMCs in this tactic, the huge part of it is allocated into Strength, Jumping Reach and Balance, these attributes are far from being the most important attributes for the AMCs positions and the same time he's got very important attributes for AMCs position at very low level such as Technique, First Touch, Passing, Vision and some other.

just use him and see, you could play your nan in amc in this tactic and she would score. ignore pa and ca, its not the be all and end all

Joewhite, you just waste your time trying to reason with El Wray because if you look at this forum and other FM forums then you'll see that there's a huge amount of people that have zero knowledge about FM but they never miss a chance to give an advice or make a suggestion and most of time their advices/suggestions are complete rubbish but if you are going to fight all those people then all time in the world wouldn't be enough to do that.
Just leave El Wray alone and let him "share his wisdom"
because soon or later any person that actually play FM and not just only sit at FM forums will find out whose advices should be taken into consideration and whose advices should be ignored.Btw, I wouldn't call El Wray the noobest person out here and usually he says things that make sense but it looks like he also has his "periods" sometimes.

I played all champions league games on counter.

i didnt question the amount you perceive he knows about the game. im saying that 'bad' players can out perform their ca and pa or stats for a position. people have played wingers at wbr/wbl and theyve done well. im currently playing a striker at wbr for 8 years and his performance stats are amazing. ive played an mc at wbl and hes been great. someone in this thread said his average ca is 136, if you go by what tff said about lukaku, then he wouldnt improve that guys celtic team. everything, EVERYTHING, in life has to have context. from what tff said, it seemed like no matter who you are lukaku is bad, if youre in the 20th tier of english football and you play him at amc in this tactic, he'll destroy the league. tff didnt say if youre a top team to not buy him cause theres better for amc, he said outright that hes bad
you could start a parallel save when you have lukaku and play him at amc, see how he does. if it doesnt work out then go back to the other save.
ive no problem with you joewhite, never had an issue with anything youve said. i was about to kick off with kupomevavo but i read his last line and it made me smile so ill let you off ha oO)oO)oO). no problem with either of you, i just think ca doesnt make a team, people who use tff tactics have won the champions league with far less than average ca

I tend to follow the recommendations but depending on budget you can be limited. Started a new game with man United just for a easy mess about save. I bought an amc that does meet recommendations and played lukaku along side.
At Christmas there stats and more importantly goals are almost a perfect match. I think whereas the amc based on reccomendations play's as TFF intended (sexy football) there is a lot to be said for a battering ram also.
Saying that I've switched to jonnysnipes tactic 2 posts up now and I think it's taken tffs original up a notch
