Ryan stubbs, grow up please and find something better to do than slag off ANYTHING to do with man city, good luck mate, will djalo play though? i mean you have adebayor and tevez and santa cruz, but i wont question signings as i questioned adam johnson , good luck dude

i completely agree, i love Man city storys, love to see how people mould their own world class side over a few years, will be following :)

Cheers guys, Also Djalo is a wild-card if you know what I mean.. I'm going to shape a young team with the odd experienced player Toure, Viera etc. Any suggestions on a fiery attackive midfielder, I was looking at Milner & Possibly another defender, if Budget allows?

I wanted to start a story with Man City, **** all over it if you want.. I'm not fussed to be honest.. but if you haven't got anything good/decent to say, don't ****** well say it.

Mate it was a joke, don't take yourself so seriously.. It's the typical banter you would expect when you make a story about Man City.. As for what people are saying about it's actually not easy managing City [i.e Frankie & Danny] I don't agree with them but that's for another time. Good luck and if you fail then may you be banished from all Football Manager games that are ever made :)

TheVillan, your last thread got destroyed by idiots. Lets hope this turns into a great story. I'd recommend you sign someone strange, like Beattie or Delap and see how they perform stat wise. :)

Good luck.

I'm following :) I enjoy big money stories like City, it's interesting to see how other peoples signings will differ from yours. Ignore all the negativity

i've just started with city ironically,
and while they have vasts amount of money, they don't have a squad that will compete for the prem straight away. I'm also trying to steer away from big money signings such as dzeko etc, and am however going for youth.

If i were you i would mould it in to a team consisting mainly of wonderkids. Players such as Mesut Özil, Sakho, Marko Marin, Jack Rodwell, Miralem Pjanic and all the other guys that you can never afford, or at least i cant :)

Good luck :D

Cheers for all the positive comments and I will be updating at about one with July & August ;) Cheers again dudes! :D

When i started my Notts County when the game first came out, i got ripped about it because of all the money, just part of the fun :P lol.
I agree with threads above, sign someone random that isn't a "man city" signing and see how they play in a big team

never tried i before

Also... how did Djalo cost that much! he is 800k on the transfer list on the latest patch

where are the updates?? one signing so far? :D (guys if you have nothing valuble to say just dont say it)
good luck man, Man Utd after 3 seasons do not compete for much anymore as their substantial debt kills them!

I offered that, then a million and they 'renegotiated' to 3m, So I thought, might aswell.. and I am trust me, I am signing a very peculiar player for Man City. ;)

I'm doing the whole pre-season in one, I think it will be much quicker and less space-taking. ;)

fair enough mate, i spose they wanted to get all the money they could from man city :P
not as if you will go short, he is a good player as well!

look forward to your update mate, i will follow ;)

"even if you are a villain" ;) lol

True, but they still manage to win a domestic cup, and always end up in the top 6!

July & August Summary

Signings:

Yannick Djalo - £3,000,000 from Sporting CP

player_photo_96002.jpg

As I have already stated, I believe Djalo will score for us, quite unheard of apart from Football Manager however I think he is the right man. A lot of competition here will push his career far, people like Santa Cruz, Adebayor, Soldado, Tevez will make it hard for him to break through but he is a very good signing!
8/10 - :D

Roberto Soldado £11,500,000 from Getafe

Simply a goal machine, Roberto Soldado. He has scored for every club he has played for and I don't think it will be different playing for us. I can't wait to see him banging in the goals and with so much competition, he will have to be on top form all the time and when he's on top form, Manchester City will reap the benefits.

10/10 - :D :D :D

Christian Romaric £14,500,000 from Sevilla

A bit of a gamble here, the better part of 15 million spent on this player but I think he WILL definately come in handy for the team, I think he is a gamble and if it pays off, he'll be a tremendous aquisition to this already amazing squad.

8.5 / 10 - :D

Shaun Hutchinson £5,000,000 from Motherwell

People were telling me "buy a player who City wouldn't normally buy" so I did. 18-Year-Old Motherwell centre back Shaun Hutchinson is the man I found. A quick and sharp centre back who will be key in Man City's future, another gamble but I feel this one will most definately be worthwhile!

9/10 - :D

August Matches:

Chelsea 1 - 0
Manchester City
'N/A'
"First game of the season, Chelsea away, fantastic. I knew this game wasn't an easy win game and was hoping for a draw and we would have got one if Petr Cech wasn't man of the match. Still a decent performance however the result wasn't there. Understandably."

Manchester City 0 - 2 Blackburn
'N/A'

"I couldn't believe it, they made one, if that chance. And Klasnic netted, unfortunately for us they also had a free-kick specialist in Morten Gamst Pederson, and they're keeper was on fire. Again, no goals, but letting them in, not a good way to go :(!"

Manchester Utd 3 - 3 Manchester City
'Adebayor, Tevez, Wright-Phillips'
*denied a stonewald penalty :(*
"Extremely happy with this result and we could have won it, unfortunately Gary Neville's foul was judged 'clean' which denied us a penalty in the 70th minute which would of gave us the lead but it wasn't to be. Away at our rivals after two games without a point, scoring three and getting a draw, I couldn't have asked for more.."

League Cup; 2nd Round!
Daganem & Redbridge 0 - 5 Manchester City
'Adebayor x3, Soldado, Toure'
"Hopefully our strikers can find they're shooting boots now after this. A complete demolishing of D&R, Adebayor on fire with a 60 minute hat-trick. Unstoppable. Through to the next round!"

Manchester City 1 - 0 Wolves
'Hahnneman OG'
"Happy with this again, picking up my first competitve victory over Wolves after a long first few months, but now I hope to move on and try and get much more victories under my belt and possibly fly up the league."

Overall Summary:
Not the month I hoped for but not disasterous, we have already played argueably the two hardest fixtures in the calendar and came away with a point which means we can look forward and try and beat the other teams and grab fourth spot this season!

League Position: 12th.

September Update

Portsmouth 2 - 4 Manchester City
'Wright-Phillips, Adebayor x2, Toure'
"Fantastic victory, enjoyed every minute of it! Adebayor is now banging them in for fun and Wright-Phillips is on fire! An emphatic victory, can't wait for the next game now!"

Manchester City 1 - 0 West Ham
'Tevez'
"Another comfortable victory to be honest, we've finally got into our stride and I think if we keep this up we will cruise towards fourth spot and perhaps try and knick third or even second!"

League Cup; 3rd Round

Manchester City 2 - 0 Birmingham City
'Adebayor x2'
"Again, Adebayor nets at home against City to send us sailing through to the next round, fantastic performance from the lads, lets hope we can keep this up!"

Manchester City 1 - 1 Liverpool
'Petrov'
"A draw against one of the 'big-four' is never bad and it continues our dominance and unbeaten streak, lets hope that we can keep on going!"

;STAR MAN;
;EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR;
!4 GOALS IN 4 GAMES!
