I would have warned you before you made the signing but never saw it coming - Soldado does not perform well in the Premier League. Bought him for Arsenal and I left him out of the whole squad after only 6/7 games. Good luck, bad start but I'm sure it'll only get better.

October Update

Birmingham City 0 - 2 Manchester City
'Wright-Phillips, Adebayor'
"Another good victory to start off the month, defeating Birmingham yet again, this time in the English Premier League. I hope we can carry on pushing and grinding out the results, red hot striker Adebayor on the score-sheet again."

Wigan Athletic 1 - 2 Manchester City
'Wright-Phillips, Barry'
"Again a routine victory, very happy with this, walking away with all three points, another hard away game but we grinded it out against a stubborn Wigan side, Wright-Phillips in amazing form."

Manchester City 0 - 1 Arsenal
'N/A'
"Although I am obviously not happy, I can understand why we lost to a very strong Arsenal team who are sitting very high in the table. We just need to reply at Fulham!"

League Cup; 4th Round
Manchester City 1 - 0 Fulham
'Tevez'
"We replied here at Eastlands. We beat them one to nothing and it was a goal from Tevez which smashed us into the Quarter Finals, we want to go all the way and win this cup!"

League Position: 7th

October Summary

"Overall I think this month was a good one for us, although we lost our unbeaten streak, we got through to the quarter finals of the League Cup and picked up six points out of a possible nine and sit in 7th which isn't too bad a position, I feel we can change that easily and go forward a few places in the coming months!

November and December Update

Fulham 1
- 0 Manchester City
'N/A'
"Devastated with this result, I can't believe we lost after such a good run. We need to go back to Eastlands, dust ourselves off and prepare for battle against Burnley this Saturday."

Manchester City 2 - 1 Burnley
'Toure, Romaric'
"Perfect response from the lads, grinding out a 2 - 1 victory over a struggling Burnley. I think we can build on this and hopefully get another three points at Hull!"

Manchester City 3 - 0 Hull
'Adebayor x2, Tevez'
"Another three points under our belt and we're starting to get into our stride again. Adebayor back on the score-sheet and Tevez also scoring, well played all round."

Sunderland 1 - 1 Manchester City
'Tevez'
"Unfortunate result to stop our winning streak but still a good away point. I don't mind this as we still scored, we just need to be a bit tighter at the back and tighten the screws and we'll be alright."

League Cup; Quarter Final
Manchester City 0 - 2 Chelsea
'N/A'
"Yet again, the Chelsea conundrum. We can never seem to beat Chelsea, how hard we try or well we play, however they did pretty much destroy us. We just need to bounce back and concentrate on the league."

Manchester City 4 - 0 Stoke
'Tevez x2, Petrov, Kompany'
"Perfect way to bounce back from the Quarter Final disaster, a murdering of Stoke. A fantastic three points for the boys and can't wait too see what else we can achieve in the future!"

Bolton 0 - 5 Manchester City
'Tevez x2, Adebayor x2, Romaric'
"Another amazing three poinst on the road, this time against what I thought would be a tough match against Bolton at the Reebok. But we completely and utterly battered them, our strikers we're outstanding."

Manchester City 0 - 2 Tottenham
'N/A'
"Killed out streak, we showed no fight today whatsoever and were punished by a fantastic team. 9 goals in two games in the previous games but unfortunately the strikers didn't have they're shooting boots on."

Manchester City 1 - 0 Everton
'Adebayor'
"Another good victory and again bouncing back from a loss with a win, we've got to start a streak though if we want that comforted fourth spot!"

Aston Villa 2 - 3 Manchester City
'Soldado, Petrov, Bellamy'
"Amazing result at Villa Park! Coming away with three points, winning three - two. I think this was a great performance and I'm chuffed with the lads for winning this one!"

Manchester City 0 - 1 Chelsea
'N/A'
"Again, we lose to Chelsea, we really can't seem to get around them but I for one am happy we've seen the back of them this season, now we can push on and try and win other matches and get a lot more points on the board!"

Blackburn 0 - 3 Manchester City
'Romaric, Tevez, Robinson O.G'
"We get our revenge from the start of the season, I am very very happy about this. We've improved so much since the start of the season. Now it's coming up to January, hopefully we can get a few new players and make that push to become the best team in the league!"

November and December Summary

These past few months, we've had highs and lows and amazing wins and crushing defeats but these past few months have highlighted that Manchester City aren't yet a EPL winning team however, they're is potential for them to be. An amazing team always has an amazing spirit and in these two months alone, they have shown that. Going into 2010, lets hope Man City can take some form of glory, domestic wise.

modric would be a great signing, a good story so far, questionable signings for some of the part but overall some good results

Nice, but lol you struggle against Chelsea, try a new tactic.
Good luck.
Also, if you wanna raise the pressure, set your expectance to Title Winner.

I know it was yesterday/earlier, but if people keep being complete twats on this thread for no reason (i.e Ryan Stubbs) then you will be infracted, it's a story, get over it.

Good luck buddy.

Cheers mate, Can anyone suggest a high-quality signing for me, I'll probabley have about 15 m to spend?

Marco Verrati his 18 i think at beggining of game. hes less then 1mil and turns into a beauty. even in first season he got a few goals and assist. a few mixed results there m8 but im sure with a decent january transfer signing u will do well and get a top 4
