Bendtner Confirmed!

Liverpool have just confirmed that they did indeed get Nicholas Bendtner on loan. The chairman confirmed that they did make a last minute swoop to loan Nicholas Bendtner from Arsenal but weren't sure if it would go through on time. Dunne went on to say "I felt we were a bit short on the front, and news came through that he was available on loan. It made sense to go with the wind for us and add some depth to our thin attack". No Transfers so far?

--Ps. Use the game save provided to check your team and let me know through a private message if there are any issues.

--Also as I have been so busy dealing with everyone elses requests I didn't get a chance to do any business myself, bar a couple of C2C transfers that fell into my lap. So I am going to spend tonight doing a few FGN/DOM transfers and I'll update my business tomorrow.

--Finally, I will be doing the first month update tomorrow evening, This will bring us to the end of August. So PM me the transfer budget(if any) you would like to give to your manager, so that they may carry out some business between simming July and August!

Enjoy! :D

Shaw Forgot He Signed Somebody

513415d1393538511-disclaimer89s-english-premier-league-chairman-game-football-manager-2014-edition-sky-sports-news%2520logo-2-280x29-.jpg

We have just received a press release from Alex Shaw, Sunderland Chairman, to announce the final transfer moves of the window for his club and to reveal one player that he apparently forgot about.

Alex Shaw - Sunderland A.F.C

"I would just like to announce that Sunderland A.F.C have ended the transfer window by completing the transfers of Miranda from Atletico Madrid, and Jonny Evans from Manchester United for a combined fee of approximately ?19 million. With these two transfers complete I am very happy with the state of our squad, as the one area that needed strengthening was defence and these two chaps will help shore things up at the back brilliantly.

There is also one more player I would like to introduce to you all. Serge Gnabry has been signed on a season long loan from Arsenal. Now we actually agreed to sign him within minutes of the transfer window opening, but given that he's not anywhere near good enough to start games and was signed purely as a worst case injury scenario backup, I completely forgot about him. I also may have lied to the Arsenal Chairman about how important he would be to us this season, so I'm hoping that he doesn't read this press release."

Guessing me and arsenal need to do wage offers for angel correa? As he's in both of our transfers

Guessing me and arsenal need to do wage offers for angel correa? As he's in both of our transfers

Opps, that is a mistake, I forgot to take him out of arsenal's spreadsheet. Man City won the race to sign him. He should be in Man City if you check the game save :)

*updated the transfer post*

u9y7uzy5.jpg

Manchester city have opened their chequebook to sign 5 new players
7ydybemy.jpg

Eliaquim mangala arrives at Manchester city from Porto for a fee of around 13 million, he is widely regarded as one of the best young centre backs around and is highly sought after around Europe.
6ajahe5y.jpg

Sideshow bob( aka David Luiz) has had a few critics since he signed for chelsea, he isn't solid defensively enough for a team with a much deeper line than city but on the front foot like city expect to be he could be revitalised into one of the worlds best centre backs. He joins in a part player exchange deal with Alvaro negredo.
vuzy5era.jpg

Angel correa is seen as one of the best young players in South America at the moment, he is predicted to be the next Sergio aguero and with the Argentinian international at Manchester city he may tutor correa into one of the best players in the world.
denaty2a.jpg

Leandro damiao is a player similar to the departed Alvaro negredo, he is tall and strong but is also surprisingly skillful (well unsurprisingly he's from Brazil) he still has his best years ahead of him and has caps for Brazil already so could have a bright future at Manchester city.

Last, but certainly not least
yhydadar.jpg

Isco is reunited with his 'football father' Manuel pellegrini. His real father stopped a move to Manchester city at first, instead favouring a move to Real Madrid so he could get a 10m payday because isco was once his sperm. He was unhappy following the signing of bale so city saw an opportunity to go back in and snap him up.he is likely to one day be one of the best players in the world, but at the moment must focus on getting in the team ahead of players like Nasri and silva.

2 players also left the club.
qepepyby.jpg

City didn't want negredo to leave but the offer was just too good. Chelsea paid 20m+matic for Luiz, then bought Matic back for 20m so theoretically speaking Luiz cost 40m. Chelsea also threw 12m in on top of that so chelsea have basically paid 52 million for a player city signed for around 20 million just a few days earlier.
aby8azab.jpg

City are sorry to let a young English talent go, however the fact is he was injured too much and a club with city's resources can't afford to have a place in their squad wasted on a player who can't play a lot of the time, he'll join Swansea on a free transfer.

This gives city 2 strong players for each position in:
Pantilimon,hart
Zabaleta,Richards
Clichy,shaw
Kompany,Luiz,Mangala,nastasic
Yaya toure,fernandinho,Garcia,Milner
Navas, isco, silva, Nasri
Dzeko,damiao,correa,aguero

+also players like rekik,ward-prowse ad jovetic out on loan

Mike summerbee said " our regret in the transfer window is not getting a centre midfielder, we tried for Marco veratti but credit to him he chose to get first team football at Everton instead. Milner and Garcia both aren't the quality we want but will have to do as backup for now before we look again in January. People will question if correa is good enough just yet and if he's even a striker but I believe it's a yes to both of those questions. Under the guidance of aguero I believe he'll become one of the most feared strikers in the world. Of course he's going to be 4th choice, we were looking at other strikers within the league to plug the gap for the season till jovetic comes back after a successful season at Southampton, we enquired for bony but he had already been sold, I was disappointed as it was a price I'd have been interested in taking him at aswell because I believe I could of then sold him on again next season for probably even more than that" summerbee finished off by saying his targets for the season" we want to win all four trophies, but our minimum requirement is to win at least 1 or 2 of then. We must also be much stronger in the champions league as I believe we are good enough to be reaching the semi finals of it with our squad."

Aston villa signings press conference

SSN: So, lewie, surely not all of these signings are for the 1st team?
Lewie: Not at all! Wesley sid's a young centre back for the future, fabianski is a backup keeper, toure's an experienced centre back and will do a good job when needed, and jack cork is a young centre mid for the future, even though he costs 10m.
SSN: So are all the rest in and around the 1st team?
Lewie: Yeah, you could say that. Some people, like giroud will get in the 1st team no questions asked and others, like hoolihan and bennett will have to work very hard to get a spot.
SSN: Some chairmen, specifically the Southampton (sorry naettr) chairman, say villa are in deep trouble. Do you agree?
Lewie: Well, yes. The wages are a litle high but ww are not in jeopardy. Just look how much Sunderland spent! Only 4m less than us!
SSN: Who will win, and who will go down in your opinion?
Lewie: Well, City and Arsenal have brought big on big players, so I will say city to win and arsenal 2nd. To go down, well, palace, cardiff and sunderland imo will go down every1 else says palace so, I may as well stay with them. Cardiff, they have brought decent players, but you need very decent players to stay up. Sunderland, I know they spent big, same as us, but they have gone too far. They didn't sell anyone big as well.

Southampton announce transfers

Southampton have announced all of their transfer business which has took place over this window

Transfers out:
hezy6ysa.jpg

"James and Luke have left the club, they are great young players who have a great career ahead of them, however 21m was a good enough fee to take the off us as we have enough money to find a replacement with this."
u3adymej.jpg

"Jack coke has joined Aston villa for ?10 million, we were pleased and surprised with this fee as we honestly only really seen him as a backup member of our squad with schniederlin and wanyama ahead of him."

Transfers in:
uha8aveg.jpg

"Kasper schmiechel is a great young keeper with a lot of footballing years ahead of him, our goalkeeper spot was weak and we believe he is good enough to be our first choice keeper."
umebeqes.jpg

"Virgil van dijk is a player who will be questioned about the 5m fee as he is yet to play in a big league, however he is only going to be 22 when the season begins so has many years of top class football ahead of him, I believe he will get in any premier league team within the next 3 years and I think he's good enough for Southampton already.he is tall strong and very composed on the ball so is a perfect centre back for us"

ty7yvy3a.jpg

"Kyriakos papadopolous is one of the best ball winners around already and has so many great years ahead of him. We need to improve the technical side of his game slightly and he'll be one of the best midfielders in the world aswell as already being a top quality centre back, costing under 10m he is a true bargain for us."
5u6y4y9u.jpg

"Stevan jovetic is a top player,he is a very creative forward and on his day is unplayable, he scores goals and creates goals so could be vital for us this season if we can make sure he remains fit for as long of the season as we can possibly have him fit for.

Ssn: did you try to get anyone other than these?

Dave: yes of course, we tried for Jese Rodriguez but was unable to tempt him to a move to Southampton, we were also close to striking a deal for Phil jones but the transfer deadline finished and therefore so did our negotiations.

Ssn: so what are your targets for the season?

Dave: to get as many points as we possibly can. I don't set a league position target, although if were not in the top half I'd be very disappointed. We must try to get as many points as we can though and well then see at the end of the season how we end up. We have a 3 year project to get into the champions league.

Ssn: so who will win the league, and who will go down in your opinion?

Dave: well city and chelsea have both made some great signings, the league shall be fought between those two looking at the squads, I think city 1st, then chelsea, arsenal and united. Going down I think palace are nailed on, villa look poor aswell although spending so much money, they've really just bought overpriced hamburgers instead of getting steaks for the same price. West ham don't have much about them and they could be another contender but in going to go for palace,Aston villa and Sunderland, who have also bought cheap hamburgers for steak prices.

Peace packs his Bagg's, enter The Flying Scotsman

Today at the home of West Bromich Albion there has been some shocking news and quite a lot of it may I add. Around 0900 the UK and some members of the Italian Media were called to the Midlands for a press conference that will include Jeremy Peace, Pepe Mel and 2 unknown parties.

We were first met by Jeremy Peace who simply sat and said:

"I will not be taking any questions at this time, you can save them for another day. I am, with immediate effect leaving the club as Chairman. May i please welcome the new owner and Chairman of West Bromich Albion, Mr Angus Guthrie."

A short shake of hands and posing for pictures was then observed and then Mr Peace left. Mr Guthrie finally spoke:

"As Mr Peace has just said my name is Angus Guthrie and I am the new owner of West Bromich Albion. I am from Aberdeen in the North East of Scotland, for those of you who do not know. I will be assuming the role of Chairman also. Now thats the formal bit out of the way, any questions?"

This is a bit sudden, how was it kept quiet?

"To be honest it all happened very quickly, I wanted to buy a football team and this seemed to happen really quick"

Why West Brom?

"I wanted a club outside the top 10 with a base of a good squad that we could tweak and maybe take to the next level, so yeah"

Pepe Mel is standing through those doors next to a certain Italian, is that what we think?

"Lets get them out and you can find out"

As the cameras all panned to the double doors to the left of the desk, out came the current West Brom manager Pepe Mel and his obvious successor Andrea Stramaccioni the former Inter Milan coach.

"Firstly let me thank both men for attending. Secondly Pepe is no longer the manager of West Brom, we spke at length a few times over the past week and we are a bit apart on how we want to run the club so therefore Pepe will be moving on. His replacement, as you have guessed is former Inter Milan Head Coach Andrew Stramaccioni."

Just as he has finished speaking the three men stood and shook hands and Pepe left.

Mr Stamaccioni you have taken a job at a club which is perceived as a smaller club than Inter, why?

"If i am honest it is because this man, Mr Guthrie, he show me what he want from team and where team have to go, his passion is incredible and cannot wait to start working with him."

Strangely after that, he left.

"I appreciate this may come as a shock to all West Brom fans but i promise to do everything i can to make this club even greater than it already is. Nothing over the top just good old fashioned hard work. There will be another press conference later this evening as we have some interesting transfer news"

Before he left he added:

"Oh i heard a rumour that Arnold Schwarzenegger is involved with Arsenal these days, this cannot possibly be true but if it is, let him know i fancy a beer!!"

A very eventful morning in the Midlands and certainly looks like exciting times at The Hawthorns, a new direction completely for a solid Premier League team.

Wow. Just enjoy the game people! I might get in administration but idc. It's all about having fun!

The update will be tonight at 9pm!!
(came home from work and passed out on the sofa, my bad guys! :p)

Edit: 10.30pm!

Nah. It's fine with me and we are all glad to have a chairman game here. Hopefully it doesn't end like born's did.

To all Chairmen!!

I have just heard about the big ruckus that kicked off last night between a couple of members..due to someone posting up details of what happens when they simmed further into the game! (This is why I told a different chairman to remove his screenshot of a future save; I knew these sort of things would agitate players, especially those that didn't do too well in the screenshot results!!)

I didn't create this thread for certain members to start bickering like little school children over a GAME! Which at the end of the day, that is all this is!

I don't want this game to be closed down over silly antics of certain members! As the majority are enjoying this.

....
Now it is pathetic that it has come to me having to say this but the next time something like this kicks off and a moderator has to get involved to calm things(cheers Mike for sorting it), any chairman involved in the ruckus will be out of the game and replaced!

Calm down lads, just a game...

Thanks,

West Brom Bagg new players

West brom have today announced the signing of 5 new players, 2 coming from domestic leagues and 3 from abroad. All 5 signings give something different and all have their own personalities to put across.

Firstly we have the 2 domestic signings.

James McArthur

View attachment 412107
James brings with him some very helpful Premier League experience aswell as International experience. He is a very strong ball playing midfielder who should fit in well at the Hawthorns, and of course he is Scottish.

Danny Ings

View attachment 412106
Danny has a growing reputation in football as one of Englands brightest prospects. Yes the fee was high but at the end of the day if you want quality you have to pay for it. He will be a massive part of West Brom's future.

Now time to introduce our new signings from abroad.

Michy Batshuayi

View attachment 412105

Michy is a very exciting young Striker from Standard Liege in Belgium. A fast, strong and agile striker with a ton of ability, should be able to settle in this league quickly and become a real force at West Brom

Alvaro Vadillo

View attachment 412104

The young Spanish winger is a great capture for West Brom, he has been watched by all the Big European clubs. With his pace and skill and being only 18 should make him a nightmare for defences all over England.

Nicusor Stanciu

View attachment 412103

One of two young Romanian forwards playing for Steaua has followed his teammate Iancu to England, this time he has moved to the Midlands. A very skillfull and creative AM, he is sure to light up any game.

The five players were paraded at the Hawthorns this afternoon, the 5 seemed to be smiling and laughing and all seems good for the moment. With 4 of these signings being youth players, it is clear to see how West Brom may be approaching the next couple of years.

Busy Deadline day for Swansea

In the last few minutes of the transfer window, Swansea announced the loan signing of two further players along with the departure of another two.

Keiran Gibbs and Demba Ba join Swansea on loan where as Neil Taylor leaves the club in the direction of Aston Villa for 5m and Bony leaves for Arsenal in a deal worth 10m.

To summerise Swansea transfer dealings, they bought in Brad Guzan, Jack Rodwell, Carl Jenkinson, Keiran Gibbs, Ryo Myiachi, Demba Ba and Liam Moore for a total outlay of 1.5m and they sold, Michel Vorm, Neil Taylor and Wilfried Bony recieving 21.25m for the three players.
