So, as I knew we would we've been deducted 9 points, but I still don't think that's a bad thing. 6 points from 3 games, including convincingly beating Man Utd and only losing to Chelsea in a game where it could have easily gone the other way if we had taken our superior chances, so I'm still very confident that we'll do well this season.

How come Sunderland were deducted 9 points?

They were deducted due to over spending(the game handed out the deduction), although they have picked up 2 wins from 3 games so the gamble may pay off!

Because our finances were already very poor at the start, and then I spent ?40 million or so on transfers.

I knew it would happen, but my theory was that while we would lose some points through the deduction, the squad we have now will be good enough to earn its way out of our poor financial position and drag us up the league.

I suspect you will run into the same problem, just a little bit further down the line than I did.

Well first of all you go to the first page of this thread and read the rules on there.

Essentially though, till the January transfer window rolls around there is nothing you can do except to change your manager if you want to.
