Bank Mistake Threatens Liverpool Financial Future

A bank error has left Liverpool's financial future in danger. Chairman Terry Dunne was reviewing the clubs funds when he noticed something very shocking; there wasn't any! Liverpool were in fact in the red. Dunne went over all of the club bank statements and still couldn't pinpoint what had gone wrong, so he rang up the Royal Bank of Scotland. Upon investigation the bank realised they had made a fatal mistake. They had mis-printed the balance figure. So Liverpool had set a budget and spent money on this mis-printed balance, which was significantly more than what they actually had. The error has since been corrected however Liverpool still remain just in the red. "If we do get a penalty from the premier league we'll definitely appeal it" Dunne said this morning when arriving at Anfield.

Stay tuned for more..

Lewie Roberts relaxes as the top teams are going mad after the ban of sugar daddys.

It has been a decent january for Paulo Bento and Lewie Roberts start to get to work ready for the rest of the season. We are only 5 pts away from the top half and we are the same total ahead of palace. Lewie has said frankly he doesn't care about the removal of sugar daddys as he doesn't have one.

Will be slightly later tonight, starting it now. I've been hooked on FFX all day! haha

So I keep losing but somehow I'm still not in relegation zone... That's nice I guess

A Brave Man: Martinez silences critics

Everyone within football considered Martinez to be foolish but brave man to succeed Moyes, and under new ownership it was all happening as Goodison Park this season. Despite coming under early pressure in his Everton reign, Roberto Martinez has silenced his critics after his Everton side put together a run of seven games without defeat, helping his team climb ever closer to those sacred european places.

Since their embarrassing 1-0 defeat away to Championship opposition, Notts Forrest , many pundits speculated that Martinez?s job could be under threat but to his credit he has managed to turn things around. Martinez's team have now gone on a seven game unbeaten run, which included a home win against title contenders Chelsea and draws against Manchester United and Spurs, all of whom will no doubt be competing for the european places come the end of this campaign.

People were very quick to criticise the team performances in his short reign, even new chairman, Neville Southall threatened to sack Martinez at one point. But, after countless discussions with Martinez, Southall admitted that he may have over stepped his mark this season. The club in debt of excess of twenty-eight million and this due due to rise over the second half of the season. Achieving european football is now a must for Everton this season, Southall spent over ?30m in the summer transfer window, leaving Martinez with nothing. Southall has admitted he has given Roberto this season to evaluate his squad, and then he will be given more freedom to expand his squad, rumoured is of a shared budget with roughly half the available funds to spend for himself.

NEWS: Leighton Baines, Sam Byram and Raphael Varane contenders for Defender of the Season

Southall may have signed talented players this season but he signed all these players off his own back and, in some peoples eyes he took away the managers ability to put his own stamp on the club.

Permanent Deal: Carlos Puyol ? Alex Grimaldo ? Jean-Marie Dongou ? Callum McManaman ? Lucas Digne ? Marco Verratti ? Mason Bennett ? Jem Karacan ? Gabriel Barbosa
Loan Deal: Sergi Roberto ? Sebastian Giovinco

"I admit I had given Martinez a challenge in his first season at the club, but we both feel that this club should be playing in european competition," said Neville Southall.

"but all that aside Roberto really has to be credited for his management skills this season, I didn't give him any say on the clubs signings and we currently are still in touch of european football, so, what can I say."

Currently Everton find themselves in 7th place and still have the possibility of Champions League place.

That will be all for today....

Good Form Continues at Cardiff City Stadium

View attachment 403712
The winning ways continued at Cardiff with a 4-1 victory at home to hull. The strike partnership of Defoe and Rhodes is going from strength to strength with a brace each against Hull. Solskjaer preferred operating with a lone striker, however Colantuono tactics appear to be improving cardiff?s fortunes with two up top. The winning way continued with a 2-1 victory at home to Tottenham, who have been flying high in the league this season. Defoe found the net twice against his old club, but refused to celebrate out of respect for his former employers. Cardiff then lost two six-pointers against west ham and palace. The month finished with a 2-1 away win against Sunderland. Cardiff now find themselves in 18th position three points behind Aston Villa in 17th.

Njmclare is said to be disappointed losing two key games against west ham and crystal palace, which could prove pivotal come the end of the season. March brings tough games against Chelsea, Man Utd, Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa, so it is hoped Cardiffs good form continues however it is highly unlikely.

If Cardiff are to perform well during March they will need to ensure Defoe and Rhodes remain fit, who have scored 23 of Cardiffs 33 league goals this season. They will also be relying on the good form of Sam Byram at right back, who is an outside shout for young player of the season, with three young player of the month awards already this season.

Njmclare is intrigued to see if Maradona can lift Stoke City from bottom place in the league, but with Cardiff's predicament, is obviously hoping the bold move fails.

Worst month this season for villa

This month has been dreadful. I think it is because we sold Giroud to Chelsea. Now we are only 3 pts ahead of Cardiff, in 18th, but, we are only 5 pts away from Norwich, in 11th, so it could go either way.

Managerial Roundabout at Swans

swansea-v-saints.jpg

With Arsene Wenger leaving the Welsh club to travel back to beloved club, Arsenal and Steve Clarke being employed, Dennis Bergkamp has decided that after a bad couple of games, Clarke was not the right man for the job and so Rijkaard had been chosen to take Swansea into the business end of the season. Bergkamp had this to say:

"Loosing Arsene is a huge set back for us, the way he set the team was leading us to a comfortable top half finish. I had to replace him with someone of equal tactical knowhow and so Rikjaard was chosen for this. I expect a top half finish still but I don't expect European qualification"

Breaking News from Craven Cottage

Sky Sports News Team on the ground

We're hearing news of a ****** coup here at Fulham. Shahid Khan's reign of terror is over and troops, wearing what appear to be US military badges, have moved in..

Initial reports are that an American based collective have seized control.

Fans of this long suffering club are bound to be infuriated, they endured Shahid Khan for his short spell and before that the-fella-who-owned-that-big-shop-in-London-who-then-might-have-conspired-with-Prince-Philip-to-kill-Princess-Diana..... and so this new "collective" is sure to appall the locals even more....

No further news is available at the current time... Although there are reports a Karren Brady type is involved...

Stayed tuned.....
