Deja Vu with Aston Villa. Makes me remember the days of watching Pompy crumble under stupid inflated transfer deals.

Southampton chairman reflects on pellegrini reign so far
4ujy3y7y.jpg

Reporter: so you made a big decision sacking such a quality young manager to replace him with a 60 year old, how do you feel that has worked out so far?

Dave: he has done ok, our performances have been better than our results under him, but with a stroke of luck the results will pick up.

Reporter: how would you reflect on march?

Dave: there are certainly 2 ways to look at march, 1 is that we lost only 1 game the other is that we only won 1 league game.im a perfectionist so I'd usually look at the negative side, but our 2 home game were against united and Tottenham, so 4 points isn't bad there, whilst we did well to draw against the team I think will finish 4th(Everton) away. I am disappointed to only get 1 point out of Stoke and Aston villa but they are fighting for their lives so we must be alert against these. The 4-1 raping of arsenal in the fa cup was definitely our highlight of the season so far.

Reporter: so what do you expect and hope this season?

Dave: we're only 5 points away from relegation so we need to win a few games to assure our place next season, then push on to battle for 10th with Norwich and Newcastle.also a win against chelsea In the fa cup semi final will get us a European place I believe, as I can't see Nottingham forest beating Manchester city.

Reporter: and finally what do you make of the hull chairman (Matt smith) claims that your chairman of the season?

Dave: well of course I am flattered, and looking back on the season we have done well, with some top quality young players now here that can push us on in the future,I also believe we'd be much better of if we didn't sell schniederlin, which was very much against my wishes. However, i must say that I feel the Swansea chairman has been the best, and they'd be pushing for the top 4 now if they still had wenger.

Still giving me an error, but imagine a Crystal Palace logo here.

Only 2 leagues games left!

1 relegation spot still to be decided!

Hard luck mackemforevershaw and Stokecfc...!

Unlucky Stoke and Sunderland. Amazed as we have kept up the pace including a potentially division-saving point vs Liverpool and still in the fight to get out!

Yeah, any team from 13th - 18th could potentially get relegated so it is pretty tight!!

Also a few good battles at the top between Everton, Spurs and Liverpool for 4th! Along with Citehhhh and Chelski fighting for the title!! :D

Another question, since there are only 2 games left, will the update be 2morrow or Monday?

Not too sure, maybe Tuesday as I dont want to start the Summer transfer window until next weekend, as it will take a lot of time to sort out all the requests.

I'm going for Chelsea for the title, Everton for 4th and Cardiff to go dowwwwwwn!

Chelsea have pretty much won the league, only need 1 win out of 2 games
Think villa will go down( and I'll be glad to see them and Sunderland relegated for their financial troubles)

And I think Everton will get champions league, if they do/don't will shape their future massively, if they do they're financial problems will improve and will have some great young players to challenge for the title soon but if they don't they'll have to sell some big players

Like the idea of the update being up a few days before the transfer window aswell as that'll give everyone time to do an end of season review on their teams performances.

I don't know my fixtures so if they are good, I feel good about staying up but if they are bad, ...

We both have tough fixtures. You are away to Man City and then away to Arsenal. I am away to Newcastle and then away to Man City. West Brom are home to Man Utd and home to Tottenham.

Its going to be tight, but hopefully I'm safe
