Spurs Announce First Summer Signing

View attachment 221290

Today Tottenham have announced their first signing of the summer, talented Frenchman Samuel Umtiti joining from. French side Lyon for a fee of £15.5m. Spurs chairman Matthew Harrison had this to say on the signing. "Samuel is an excellent defender, with bags of talent already and the potential to grow even more as a player. We conceded a few more goals than I would've liked last season, and hopefully this signing will do a lot to fix that. More transfers will be announced in the coming days." With deadline day upon us, and Spurs having reportedly £50 million more to spend, we could very well see some new additions to the squad before the end of the deadline.

Danny Ings and Patrick Robert's have also left Tottenham, for combined fees of £10m, while young central midfield Charlie Spooner has joined Spurs for £500k, the fifteen year old central midfielder a very good prospect for the future.

Team: Cardiff

Chairman: Bcfc1

Manager Russel Slade

Current Reign: 3 years

FM Media Prediction: 18th

After finishing 14th Last season Cardiff’s next aim is to hit top ten however with limited funds and a lack of quality in midfield a top ten finish seems unlikely.

Timo Werner and Cornelius are the only additions this year so far replacing the outgoing Adam le Fondre and Kenwyne Jones providing solid competition for Charlie Austin who scored an impressive 23 goals last year.

Cardiff still have funds to spend and given their poor center with Joe Ralls and Aron Gunnarsson as first team choices a new central midfielder to be brought in could be on the cards.

Expect to see a lot of goals from Russel Slade’s side with Charlie Austin leading the line with Timo Werner could be an exciting display to watch for the neutral however a lack of quality elsewhere will no doubt see them in a mid-table finish at best.

A pretty good summary of where we are at the moment. Joe Ralls is actually my LM and my starting central midfielders were Gunnarrson and Hasebe. I do currently have Hasebe, Whittingham and Mason all on the transfer list to hopefully create space for a new midfielder.

A reminder to everyone of Cardiffs current transfer list:

Makoto Hasebe Free
Peter Whittingham Free
Ryan Mason 2.5mil
Fabian Orellana 2.5mil
Ben Turner 2.5 mil
Sean Morrison 5mil
Scott Malone 5mil

SCARLETT JOHANSSON!

everybody at the club would like to give Scarlett a massive welcome and wish her the best of luck for the upcoming season and this is what she had to say on her new position as Chairman. "I am delighted to be here and to be able to play a part in both the history and the future of this great club, It's time for the boys to impress me."

Scarlett has already been hard at work in setting up the day to day running of the club and we have already been hugely active in the transfer market which will hopefully bring some big names to the club and give the supporters exactly what they want to see!

We would also like to take this opportunity to put on record our appreciation for the work that Kenny Jackett has done for the club and announce that he will be given a proper chance to establish Wolves in the Premiership.

Seven players have joined the team in total, costing a total of £32M. We feel we have strengthened where we needed to and now have the depth to compete both in Europe and domestically.

The most expensive signing of the window was Brazillian striker Alan Kardec, who joins us from Santos for £10m. Having played in South America throughout his career, the move is a risk but the player has been very prolific and we believe he can forge a dangerous partnership with Danny Welbeck here.

Another major signing from South America is Chilean international Charles Aranguiz, who comes from Internacional for £8.8M. He is a world-class CM which he has proved on the world stage, so we are delighted to have him aboard for the coming season.

4 players have joined from other Premier League clubs, with striker Steven Naismith joining from Everton for £3M as a backup striker who can also fill in in attacking midfield. Swansea duo Kyle Naughton and Jefferson Montero also join for a combined fee of £7M to add depth at RB and on the left wing respectively. Marc Muniesa also joins us from Stoke to add cover at CB.

Finally 2 youngsters joining us from Spain are firstly attacking midfielder Marco Asensio who joins us on a season-long loan from Real Madrid. Spanish wonderkid Sergio, a centre-back at Barcelona also joins us for a fee of just £850K.

Regarding departures, it was mainly a case for us of getting several ageing high earners off the wage bill here at the club, which we have succeeded in doing and in the process cut 135k per week from the wage bill.

Released from the club from the first team squad were Gabriel Agbonlahor, Matt Jarvis and Rickie Lambert who all leave to seek new challenges.

The other two outgoings were Glen Johnson to Everton as part of the Naismith deal and Andy Carroll, who surprisingly moves to Chelsea for £2M after they expressed an interest.

Those dealings mean that we are very happy with our new squad, which we see as a big improvement while also lowering the wage bill. With that in mind, here is a potential line-up for us for the forthcoming season:

Not sure if this makes any difference as the game is only simmed, but can we set the squad status of players?? The reason I ask is a couple of players I have purchased are set to backup when ideally they should be first team regulars and a few are key players when ideally they should be rotation players.

Wolves Football Club are delighted to announce our completed summer transfer list to complete our squad for our first season back in the Premier League. Joining the club are...

Gianluigi Buffon - £1.2 million - The experienced Italian shot stopper joins on a short term deal and will provide a huge talent inbetween the posts, could be a major difference in the upcoming season.

Danny Ings - £7 million - The search for a new striker did not last long as we found the perfect man in Danny. Tottenham were looking to sell and we were looking to buy and he will form a great strike force alongside Afobe and Dicko.

Angel Correa - Loan - We found ourselves in need of a talented AMC and Correa was available for loan. We very quickly made this deal happen and we are delighted he chose to join us!

Chuks Aneke - £6.4 million - Effective in both the AMC and CM roles, Chuks can play a massive role in our season playmaking from a deep or an advanced position. A bit steep cash wise but could be massive.

Younes Kaboul - Free - After our pre-season review from Joshster I decided to move for an experienced centre back to provide some cover for Batth and Stearman. We managed to talk our way around a fee and picked up Younes on a free transfer.

Paulinho - Free - My first concern when looking at the squad was a lack of depth in midfield and with the addition of this chap we might have solved our crisis. A midfield trio of Paulinho, Aneke and Correa could be a creative powerhouse for us this season.

Lassana Diarra - Free - Lassana joins us on a free transfer as well as backup and rotation for the central midfield in case we need a no nonsense ball winner, could be a good bit part role and give us depth.

Javi Manquilo - Loan - Javi arrives on loan from my former club Hull after not getting much of a chance because of Ward-Prowse playing well out of position, hopefully he can kick on this season.

Nedum Onouha - £400k - Another centre back with some proven pedigree to bolster our ranks. Could well be our 4th choice for the season but low wages and barely any fee make it an acceptable gamble.

Jeffrey Schlupp - £500k - Signed from Leicester as backup for the left back position. Very similar circumstances to Nedums transfer and will be a squad player.

Serge Gnabry - Loan - Serge arrives on loan from Arsenal to provide some backup for the attacking positions.

I dont think there's anyway of changing it manually if they are played they will automatically be changed

I'm not sure about my balance, I spent less than my balance but I'm still in the red. In the save Ive apparently spent 88M on 'other' on the expenditure page so I think there's been a mistake.

Anyway I've pmed Znik.
