Wenger Sore in Defeat as Feliciano Becomes Instant Fan Favourite!

View attachment 59732

New Spurs boss Daniel Feliciano became an instant fan favourite tonight after overcoming local rivals Arsenal in the opening game of the season, and of his professional management career. A controversial penalty from former Gunner David Bentley in the 88th minute was enough for Spurs and the fans were ecstatic with the opening day victory.

Daniel Feliciano said:
It's a great feeling to beat your local rivals no matter what, but to do it in my first game in charge on the opening day of the Premier League season is even sweeter. We were very good today and more than deserved our victory.

Arsene Wenger said:
For once I saw the decision and it was a poor one. I won't go further into it as I don't want to be punished so early on in the season, but for me, it wasn't a penalty.

Round up of August Results..

Man City 1-2 Spurs
View attachment 59742

A fantastic result for us in this game. We went behind to a Carlos Tevez strike in the 6th minute, but Yannick Djalo's first goal for the club and a late Jermaine Defoe goal gave us a valuable win.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Again, I feel that we were fantastic today. Everyone did their jobs properly and we showed great character to come from behind to get a win away from home.
Roberto Mancini said:
I think that we were strong all over the pitch, and one moment where we didn't concentrate, we were punished. Well done to Tottenham.

Spurs 4-0 Portsmouth
View attachment 59743

A great performance from us today. We went ahead through Assou-Ekotto's first goal for the club, a well taken strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner. Crouch doubled our lead with a vintage header and then just minutes later Sebastian Bassong made it 3-0 and wrapped up the points before half time. Eidur Gudjohnsen added another goal late on and completed the rout.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Another fantastic performance from the boys today. The scoreline didn't flatter us at all in my opinion and we dominated them all 90 minutes. A great performance.
Avram Grant said:
We were unlucky today. They scored their second goal just before half time and then we collapsed. Then they scored another and we couldn't cope with their attack. They are very strong and we just weren't good enough today.

Southend 0-4 Spurs
League Cup 2nd Round
View attachment 59744

A weakened team romped through lowly Southend today and cruised into the 3rd round. Roman Pavlyuchenko scored an early goal to put Spurs ahead and then we struggled to take our chances until the second half when Jermaine Defoe scored a brilliant solo effort to double our lead and pretty much send us through. Ekotto scored his second in as many games with another screamer from the edge of the box before Djalo added his name onto the scoresheet to make it two 4-0 wins in a row. Tom Huddlestone also saw red in this game for two bookable offences.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We made changes because of the two games in such a short time span but the lads showed great character to get us through this game and we look forward to the next round.

* DRAWN vs Manchester United (League Cup 3rd Round) *

Wolves 2-2 Spurs
View attachment 59745

An awkward game for us where we dropped our first points of the season. Wolves took the lead with a very early goal from Nenad Milijas. Pavlyuchenko pulled one back in the second half with a very well taken finish firing it into the top corner. Spurs piled on the pressure but were caught off guard and Ebanks-Blake scored a great header against the run of play to put Wolves back ahead with 20 minutes left. Jermaine Defoe headed in a dramatic equaliser from a corner with 4 minutes to go. Luka Modric hit the crossbar in added time, but a draw was probably the fairest result.

Daniel Feliciano said:
It was a good performance from the lads today. We showed great character to come back from behind twice but I'm disappointed that we didn't win. But we didn't lose and we go on strong into the next game.
Mick McCarthy said:
We played very well today. We took the lead early on and held them off until Pav scored a screamer then we went back ahead and some poor marking from the corner cost us the 3 points. Great performance today.

Deadline Day Drama!

White Hart Lane held its breath last night as manager Daniel Feliciano completed one of the biggest transfers of the summer by signing Argentine winger Angel Di Maria for £12M from Benfica. After a stunning season last year, Daniel Feliciano moved quickly to snap up the left sided player and beat top clubs like Chelsea and Barcelona to his signature, with the offer of first team football a massive lure to the talented winger.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Angel is a great winger with lots of skill and pace. He's strong as well as fast and by signing him we have proved that this club the depth and to truly challenge for Europe.

Yeah was looking at my squad and I was a bit short on the left side so I thought I'd bolster it..

good signing obviously but im just getting a bit bored of everyone buying the same players all the time. I think thats why I prefer LLM stories but good luck with the season and im still following

This is the first time I've ever signed Di Maria on any save mate so I thought I'd try him out..

I always sign different players or it gets boring..

nice story dmf
loved your wolfsburg story, top class mate. Im sure this will continue being interesting aswell(H)
