Great win. We stayed strong throughout, and made sure that we didn't lose focus. Excellent performance with the main man Dzeko bagging himself a goal, and Madlung and Benaglio putting in masterclasses in their respective positions. Good performance and excellent result.

Boring game of football this one. I thought we had lost this when Van Der Vaart missed the first penalty of the shootout, and they needed to score their final penalty, but my Swiss genius of a keeper saved it magnificently, and then again saving but "allowing" Hasebe to score his penalty on his return to the Volkswagen-Stadium.

Second consecutive goalless draw. But today, we deserved the win. We hit the post twice, had a shot off the line, and had a stone wall penalty denied. Never the less, a point more than we had, but two less than we should have.

I'm playing a game with Wolfsburg myself and I just can't seem to get Dzeko going at all (Grafite is absolutely lethal though!). How do you play him? I'm in the middle of october at the moment, and he's only got 5 goals for the season so far (3 of which came in a CL group game against Chelsea). Also, I can see that you've made a little change to the Complete Dominance tactics in your center midfield, where you play with two in a supporting role instead of the default attacking. What role do you play them in exactly? I've been messing around with the same tactic quite a bit, but still haven't found the right way for me to play. Would be interesting to try making some of the same adjustments as you've made, and see if it makes a difference

Hey mate, cheers for following.
With Dzeko, I usually play him in the poacher role now, with Cardozo as the target man, but before that.. I had him as Target Man, with either Martins/Grafite as the Poacher.. and if I paired him and Traore, Traore would be the target man.
With the adjustments to the tactics, I've got both down as Central Midfielders with a support role, with the man at the top of the diamond (Misimovic) as an Attacking Midfielder with the Attack role. Very simple, it's just getting the right partnership. For me, Grafite has been poor, and tbh I'm looking to offload him in January and get in a younger striker reliable with hitting the net.

We were very, very lucky. 2 goals very late on, but to be fair both of their goals came against the run of play as we controlled the game from start to finish. We need a point from the game against Lyon or Lech to qualify, and a win in either will win us the group.

Wolfsburg cheated out of win
Bochum 2-2 Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg were controversially denied a first win in 3 games against Bochum, when Oscar Cardozo was deemed to be offside, despite Bochum having a man on the line! We should have got the win, that would have made it 3-1 and would've been his second of the game, but it was ruled out and I still don't understand the decision at all. It's cost us 2 points, and now we are level on points with Hoffenheim, although still top of the league on GD. Very happy with the teams performance, but very upset with the referee's decision.

Great victory, and extremely happy to have won the group with a game spare. We dominated, and I thought we'd struggle when Kahlenberg got injured in the first half, however the versatile Riether stepped into midfield and allowed Zucullini to boss the game, and set Van Der Vaart free. Great game, and great performances in the Champions League despite not having all of my players available.

Great win. We fully deserved it but the only downside I see is that we didn't keep a clean sheet. Very unfortunate in that sense but we picked up the 3 points and are playing very well.

Fantastic win for us. We just looked very dangerous in this game, and we provided a great showpiece for the fans and pundits alike. Very pleased with Martins filling in for the injured Dzeko, but Martins' brace showed he is capable of filling in for a few weeks.
