Mate im following as its Arsenal, Good luck and good start. i like the layout.

As an Arsenal fan Frankie, I must state that I shall follow this story with great and intense care, making sure you fill the manager's role correctly.

Loving the graphics, does really make a story much more interesting and using popular and common sources - SkySports, ITV, The Sun etc - makes this look like a genuine and life-like read.

Good luck.

New Season Draws Close

Arsenal--Emirates-Stadium-London-General_1055266.jpg

Saturday marks the opening day of not only the season, but a new era at Arsenal, with care-taker manager Frankie Hobbs leading out his boyhood club for the first time. And what a game to start off, than a mouth-watering London derby, against Chelsea, at the Emirates.

images

After a quiet transfer window so far for the Gooners, Frankie will be out to prove his squad have what it takes, and get one over their title rivals. How the manager will set up the team is unknown to us as we speak. He brought in Di Maria, who is seemingly a left winger, so where does Russian Playmaker Andrei Arshavin fit into this? Will he finally be relinquished into his natural position just behind the front man, a second striker role, a role in which a certain Cesc Fabregas has been thriving in recent years.

Could Arshavin give Hobbs a headache?

Unlike Wenger, we believe Hobbs will 'go' for the Carling Cup, and will not continue the tradition of playing the youngsters. Which, although it does help with the development of youngsters, does hinder the chances of a much eluded trophy.

In the champions league, Arsenal have been drawn FC Twente in the Playoff, in order to get through to the groups, something which Arsenal will not want to happen next year. But, out of the competitions, the Champions League is the one Arsenal have never one, so coming close in this will surely make Frankie loved to the fans.

So, the season starts on saturday, with that mouth-watering derby, bring it on!

Arsenal edge London Derby

Arsenal showed why some predicted them to finish in the top 2. They were ultimately too quick, for the aging Chelsea team, using closely knitted passes, with great moves. Of course Chelsea held a physical edge, but the Reds showed they are no pushovers.

Fabregas showing Arsenal's bottle

The game started at a frantic pace, and one at which it looked as if no-one could actually score, as both teams were cancelling each-other out. Both defences looked shaky, but the midfields were impenetrable, thus unable to reveal the defence. The second half started differently, with Arsenal really applying the pressure, and in the 65th minute it showed, Debutant Angel Di Maria switched to the right hand of midfield, cut in, and curled in a 25 yard beauty, to entice himself to the Gooners. Arsenal looked good for defending this lead, up until the 90th minute, when it looked as if Danny Sturridge had rescued a point, only to be ruled out for offside.
