Good start frankie. looks very good. Will Proablay be only My secound story i actually follow all the time. well played mate.

nice win against chelsea. di maria should have a great season.
well done

Good read so far mate!

I'm doing an arsenal game aswell and have Fc Twente in the Champions League Play Off. Have a look at Big dave's 5-3-2 wingback tactics, i haven't let a goal in all preseason and in the first matc of the league, whilst scoring frequently.

Anyway good luck!

how is it doind the impossible? just sit back and finish third/fourth every season and dont spend money

I think it's impossible to replace Wenger, because he never spent money, while you already brought few new faces. (A)

good luck frank, love the layout :)

oh, and you didnt do too badly with the thread name either ;)

Loving the story so far, the layout is amazing aswell.

After great optimism with a great opener against Chelsea, Arsenal continued their great form by easing past FC Twente 3-0, with a superb performance from Danish Superstar Nicklas Bendtner, and a goal from wonderkid Theo Walcott, secured an easy victory.

People did not expect what was to follow. Many people expected Arsenal just to turn up against wolves to gain three points, this was not the case. Despite dominating possession throughout, it seemed as if nothing could beat Wayne Henessy, then Kevin Doyle headed past Almunia for a shock lead. Many questioned Hobbs' resting of Fabregas, but he backed this up, saying ''I put a team out that should have beaten Wolves. Of course this is a freak result, so the boys will have to bounce back.''

Arsenal then secured qualification by beating Twente 1-0 with a goal from new signing Di Maria. They then had their next game in the league, away at Burnley, where they had to bounce back from the upset against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

They did so in style, quickly racing to a 3-0 lead, with goals from Di-Maria, Campbell and Robin van Persie. They dominated the rest of the game, and added two more with goals from Eduardo and then Sol Campbell completed a remarkble double. The points were secure, and so was the club, after that startling defeat. It was now deadline day, would there be anymore signings.

Cardozo Signs on Deadline Day

11915734920.jpg

In a bid to increase striking options, Frankie Hobbs has completed the Signing of Paraguayan target man. Although the fee is undisclosed, it is thought to be in the region of 14m. This shows Frankie's change to play 2 up top, and also strengthens the rumours that Carlos Vela could be leaving on loan. The only thing is the lack of pace in the front line of Arsenal, with none of their four frontline strikers having a great amount of pace to boot.

nice signing in cardozo im sure he can bang in the goals for you

Benfica's 2 best players now at Arsenal? How very nice of you Mr.Hobbs.

Unlucky against Wolves tho, they can be a pretty tough team to beat on the game.

:)
