All I need to do now is catch up until January then I am with the game.

Quick Catch Up

No fancy news stories for this update, they will return when I get myself caught up on the game.

So, after a very good first season, how would I keep up the high standards and/or even improve upon them, and really begin to write my legacy with my beloved Arsenal? Well, competing in Europe would be the main ambition, especially since the final is at Wembley, so a win at the national stadium would be great. Also, the retaining of the Premier League is always a priority, and something Arsenal have never done. In the game I am currently in December, so I will look at my performance in each of the competitions.

Transfers

After a good season, I felt not much was needed. Having a 29m budget meant I had to sell a few in order to get my targets. After pursuing Rene Adler for most of the window, I was suprised to see Igor Akinfeev request a transfer to a bigger club, and I fought away interest from Spurs to get my Goalie.

The transfer of Marco Verratti is a great one and one in which will no doubt secure the notionthat Arsenal have the best youngsters, after signing Romelu Lukaku last January.

The biggest coup was Angelo Palombo and he is now fighting it out with Alex Song, and will add depth and quality to my team.

Premier League

As you can see, not bad so far, a haul of 37 points from 16 games, keeps me within 3 points of Chelsea, with a game in hand. Very dissapointed with the 'Pool game and also the Stoke game. Other than that, the results have been very good for my team, as I look to retain the Barclays Premier League.

Champions League

6 from 6 in a pretty easy group. Very impressed with the way in which we have dispatched most teams with style.

League Cup

Apart from needing penalties to beat Chelsea, all looks good as I look to pick up the first trophy of the season.

Updates Tomorrow.

Decided that I'm going to finish the season, and then really crack back on with the story when I start the 3rd season.

Commanding Centre Mid and a great Goalkeeper, exactly what Arsenal need. Your doing great, KUTGW!

Cheers, I've changed my mind, I'm just going to carry the story right the way through, this story is back!

Good to see, Sir Frankie. Enjoying every minute of it!

After two comfortable wins, Arsenal came up against a Bolton side, looking to cause an upset, and it was something they did. Quickly racing to an extrodianary 3 goal lead. Arsenal were left licking their wounds, as Bolton added a fourth. Arsenal pulled two back before Bolton made the game safe.

Arsenal went on an unbeaten run after this, including emphatic wins against Pompey and Newcastle. They also qualified for the Carling Cup final in style, smashing 'Boro 7-2 on aggregate. This will be a chance for Frankie to win his 3rd different Trophy in charge of Arsenal

Arsenal Sign Otamendi

nicolasotamendi.jpg

After revealing that he would not be signing experienced French defender William Gallas' contract any longer, Hobbs has acted quickly to add some young fresh blood. Nicolas Otamendi, one of the hottest young prospects in the world, has signed, for a fee around 5m. A small price to pay for a real world class prospect.

Frankie had this to say

Nicolas is a player we have been tracking for a few years, even when Arsene was in charge, so to finally get a deal sorted feels great. We will reveal the big transfer news in the next few days. Let's just say, this is one of the biggest signings in Arsenal's history, and you lot will find out in the next few days.

January 24th, 2011

In one of the most remarkable transfer stories in the history of Arsenal, Frankie Hobbs has made a huge coup by signing namesake French man and world class start Franck Ribery on a pre contract agreement. Ribery was saying for ages that he wanted to leave, and the Bayern Munich board couldn't do enough to keep the superstar winger. Ribery will be heading to the champions of England on the 1st of July. A real shock signing, that will have the Arsenal faithful really excited and jumping for joy next season.

Yeah man Ribery! He is class. I got him for my Liverpool but it took me ages to be able to give him enough wages. Otamendi will be class aswell :)

As you can see, Arsenal take great form into thier upcoming huge games, that will define the season. They have to play Chelsea, in a title showdown, before playing Liverpool away in the 5th round of the FA Cup. After this comes the Champions League showdown with Real Madrid. Big games for Arsenal, as the season begins to hot up

Real Madrid isn't that hard to beat.

What i always do is, set a very deep defensive line, and , as real usually play with wingers ( kaka and ronaldo ) i man mark them + tight marking + always close down and if i have good fullbacks tackling hard. they had like 20 long shots , and 3-4 on target.

how'd you make the pictures so big mine always get scaled down

great job, wenger couldn't and can't do better...
which logo pack are you using?

cheers mate

Using a logo pack I had for '09. I can't find it atm on the site, if I do, I'll get back to you

Hey, would you mind posting some screenshots of your squad + tactic?
Love the story, will follow mate;)

Great story Frank... looking at that last screenshot you've managed to get Walcott 8 goals aswell, which is a great achievement IMO.
Well done dude, and KUTGW.
