England Job - The Story

Half-naked, getting dressed, and my personal assistant walked in. Wow, that's awkward. But I wasn't too bothered, it was the day of the World Cup Semi Final and she's not too bad looking.

But the news she gave me was horrific. She told me of Suspensions and Injuries. Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand were out of the Semi-Final after picking up two yellow cards. Great.

And then to add to my woes, James Milner's picked up a thigh strain in training yesterday. That one doesn't worry me too much, as we've got good cover for him.

With all that in mind, the team was slightly sub-standard. It's definately not the best lineup I've sent out, but it'll do. Kingy and Wayne B are more than good enough. But for a World Cup Semi FInal? I don't know.

A few of the lads were tired, but I needed them to battle on. They know there's only two matches left now before their well deserved break.

Everything was getting to me that morning, that news put me in a bad mood. But I realised it's the World Cup Semi Final day, and I had to focus.

The lads are ecstatic, the fans are ecstatic and I'm ecstatic. What a game, what a performance.

It wasn't the domination we've been getting this World Cup, but it was a win, and I'd take it. For sure. YES!

I was going to make a few changes for the final, which is against either France or Brazil. But I was wary of the fact no team has gone 100% through a World Cup. We were going to be the first to change that. We were going to change history.

And with regards to the first paragraph, was it the top half you naked on!?!
 
I'll update at about quarter to, I reckon.

I've already completed the game though. :P

I'm noty sure what to be more surprised at England winning a penalty shoot out and making the final or Ireland qualifying for the World Cup! On my saves Ireland and Scotland crumble miserably in the play offs which as a home nationssupporter isnt nice for me to watch

Here it is. The World Cup Final, against the old enemy: France.

We've got a brilliant team; we're capable. But everyone's tipping those Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys, garh, we can't lose now.

AC and Rio are back into the starting lineup, and that means we're back to our best with our usual 4-1-1-3-2 formation.

The scene was set. We're in Johannesburg already, as the final is in Soccer City. I'm dreading penalties, please no penalties.

What if we lose? What if we lose? No, we won't lose. We've come to far to lose. Haven't we?
