Anthony van der Eiek Press Conference
Reporter: Mr Vd Eiek, you have just been announced as the new Assistant Manager of England, how do you feel?
Anthony VDE: It is fantastic news that I have been appointed Assistant manager here, I feel I have a lot to offer this country.
Reporter: Given your nationality many see this as a betrayal to your country, how does this make you feel.
Anthony VDE: I do not see it this way, I approached the Dutch FA about a position at the team, and they told me to beat it, so I did.
Reporter: With the World Cup coming up and England expecting to perform how does this make you feel.
Anthony VDE: I feel the pressure but I am looking forward to the World Cup, I have high hope's for England and hope we can succeed like many expect us to.
Reporter: One last question Mr Van der Eiek. Your appointment suggest's the chairman does not fully trust the current manager, can you shed any light on the situation.
Anthony VDE: I have heard no such thing, our chairman fully supports the manager as do all the backroom staff and the team.
