Don't care for international football at all but I've always believed a National should be the one managing his own Country when it comes to the major Nations.

Different if you're a tiny Nation trying to improve yourselves but a major footballing Country should always be lead by one of its own. You'd NEVER see the major powers like Germany, Italy or Spain thinking of appointing a foreign coach to lead their National sides. As that would be a sign of just how ***** things were that they can't produce a competent National to run their National side. Along with the pride thing other Nations don't get for another Country.

The issue on the lack of quality English coaches is another thing again and that's for the powers that be to look at and restructure. But going foreign would only turn England into more of a Continent-wide laughing stock than they already are.

While I agree there definately needs to be a restructure and serious look into England coaching. If they did start to go the non English route but had success I don’t think any would would mind tbh. But can see the argument against.

From English crop i Would say that Eddie Howe might be the only option. Wilder could be also in the talks. But think both need a bit more time in club level.

Then what has been the point of Boothroyd the last 5 years at U19 through U21 level?

The whole structures F if you aren't grooming someone to ultimately take the top job in the system.
 
Going to stick up for Southgate a bit here, I thought the world-cup was still a success considering he managed England to win a penalty shootout in god knows how many years. He got the squad believing again and turned around the morale to what it was previously under other managers.

I don't think Southgate can take us much further, he seems to not want to give players like Grealish much of an opportunity when we're so devoid of creativity in the middle, it baffles me.

Time for a change? Yes. Will we? No. Eddie Howe would be nice but too early for him as others have said, he needs to not ruin his career yet.
 
Any other country and the likes of having Trent in their side dictating play from fullback would be building their side around him and using his ability. We have Gareth the yes man who wants trippier and co-running the show. You couldn't make this **** up lol.

I still love the scandalous myth perpetuated by ignorant, clickbait pundits, and swallowed by simple fans at large who can’t watch him for themselves, that Trent can’t defend.

Thats one of the most hilarious, on-going things in football.
