Welcome back to the Stade Constant Vanden Stock as we give you all our latest Press statement. As I'm sure you are all aware it's been a very exciting and hectic time here over the past year, since the takeover of Manuel Poggiali, and things haven't gone quite as smoothly as we would have liked. Although we eventually secured Champions League football for the coming season we didn't achieve our main goal of winning the league which means there is still work to do for our second most important goal as we've now got to qualify for the Group Stage.

This comes as a massive disappointment to the club and we have immediately seeked to remedy this by sacking former manager John Van Den Brom.

So it is without further delay that we announce our new Manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

View attachment 354816

Ole was the Assistant under Van Den Brom and he should bring about a much needed change whilst retaining that all important level of familiarity with the players that should allow him to start strongly due to him already having the trust of the lads.

And having spoken with him at great length we are confident that he will be able to lead the way forward for us and as such we have heavily backed him in the transfer market.

after discussing potential targets with him we are pleased to announce that we have managed to sign Witsel, Batshuayi, Vidic, Propper, Meunier, Ivanof and Leemans.

some of these signings such as Ivanof and Leemans were made with the future in mind, with the 15 and 16 year olds being 2 of the hottest young prospects in Belgian football it only seemed right to bring them both to the nations most successful club.

Vidic and Propper were both signed on free's and will be good additions to the side, with Vidic joining as a first choice CB and should form a solid partnership with Kompany and Porpper likely playing a rotation role in what is fast becoming a very talented midfield unit.

speaking of the midfield we signed Axel Witsel to play alongside Wanyama in the centre of the park with the hope that these 2 can help us hold our ground and allow the wingers more freedom to join the attack.

We've also brought Michy Batshuayi in to strengthen our attack and with him and Mitrovic up top we look set for the future.

and the last signing was Meunier who joins to add some extra depth to the side, is another player that should count towards the HG quota for Europe, and we hope he'll steadily improve under Solskjaer's management.

1860 Munich hire Roberto Mancini
umuga4ub.jpg

The Former Manchester city manager has joined the newly promoted bundesliga team after Spanish manager Ernesto Valverde was sacked despite winning promotion comfortably. New director of football txiki bergistirain(seen below)
da2upyju.jpg

Agreed with the chairman conor on the decision saying "we didn't score enough goals or play a way to be remembered in years to come, his style isn't and never will be the Munich way so he's out. Roberto is a serial winner, who plays great football and we look forward to him being in charge for years to come. Me and him will sit down with Conor tomorrow and discuss how we are going to spend our 200 million pound kitty over the summer, no business is complete yet but we have targets in our mind"
Asked about the changes conor said " we've hired 2 born winners today, I'm delighted.txiki is the man that made Barcelona what they are today, he created the 2009 wonder team and since he's left they havnt been the same anymore, we hope to bring his good friend ferran soriano to work in the backroom with him in the future but not just yet. Txiki won't just focus on buying players, he'll make sure our facilities are being used to churn out world class talents like he did at Barcelona. Mancini is a world class manager, he plays passing attacking football and wins football matches, it's that simple. He is a controversial figure because he's so passionate, but I'm sure me and him will get on great. This club needs winners and that's exactly how man cub should be described. I have no worries about giving him and txiki such a budget because I know they'll do well with it"
Conor also confirmed that Patrick Vieira is going to be Mancinis assistant manager and he believes Vieira can one day take the reigns for himself

_73766596_hi021643175.jpg

Today, Southampton announced to the world that they have signed Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona for a world record bid of 200m. "When we learnt that this transfer could be done, we jumped at the oppurtunity. Lionel is without doubt the best player in the world and he will prove it further at our club" said a ecstatic Mr. Bond. "We are ofcourse grateful to Newcastle who were willing to pay us so much for Luke Shaw that we could actually complete this transfer."

He is not the only person to join the club either. Wojciech Szczesny, Matthias Ginter, Gino Peruzzi and Fabrice Olinga have all also joined the club for a combined fee believed to be less than 60m. "These are all great transfer and will help us ahieve the goal of top 4 this season" said the chairman.

Southampton fans are no doubt going to be glad at all these new signings after a dissapointing campaign last term.

Holy jesus, I'm now scared

Newcastle United have now folded is my next headline

Also Luke Shaw only cost 125m less than Messi (2nd best player in the world ;P). Did I help fund this by any chance? :D

Luis Suarez and Mehdi Benatia arrive for Bolton medical. Combined fee rumoured to be around 150 million.

The fee's I have seen for players are ridiculous. I don't know how your balances aren't massively in the red.

Juventus have ran the show this season, bornexplorer88 must be very pleased with his first year as Chairman.
So, why are they are such a devastating force at the moment?

View attachment 354757

Antonio Conte has guided his side to 3 Serie A titles, 1 Champions League title, 1 Italian Cup and 1 Italian Super Cup, at the time of writing, destroying any side in their path. They had a plus 40 goal difference in the league alone where they wer also the league top goal scorers, not only thanks to the deadly partnership of Tevez and Llorente up front, but also because of their ability to keep clean sheets. So it’s at the back where we’ll start.

Gianluigi Buffon was between the sticks for the Old Lady for less time than expected last season as ages seems to catch up with him, despite his lack of appearances he was still looking as solid as ever. He is still capable of pulling out world-class saves, but his consistency was key to his continued presence, which makes you think how much longer will he be considered Juventus's number one. He has made key interventions this season, when available and he still remains captain and a key figure here at the Old Lady.
Away at Genoa was an example of this. At 0-0, inside the last 15 minutes, Juve conceded a penalty in a match where Genoa had frustrated them all game, and created chances of their own. Calaio stepped up, but was denied by Buffon low to his left. Buffon stepped up to deliver at a vital moment, and he has done this time and time again, but this season we may see less and less of Buffon on the field, as his ageing legs seem to be getting the better of him.

In front of him Conte chooses to operate with a back three in a 3-5-2 system. Juventus have good strength in depth here. Bonucci, Caceres, Chiellini and Barzagli can all fill any of the three roles across the back-line, with young Kurt Zouma providing additional cover. We have been told that this coming season will see shift as Zouma has proved himself and is likely to step ahead of ageing Barzagli, who still is very capable and will prove excellent cover.
All of these players have the attributes to play how Conte wants them to. They all are strong individuals in the air and on the ground, they posess excellent technique, and the flexibility and tactical awareness, a credit to Conte’s work with them.

Wide of the back three are the wing-backs, Lichtsteiner and De Ceglie, regularly featured but they were backed up by Santon and Alex Sandro. They all work tirelessly to provide defensive cover and width in attack. They’re tracking and communication with the wide centre backs allows the defensive unit to work as well as it does, and Juventus have rarely been exposed wide. Juventus have lost two of these players for the beginning of the season, as De Ceglie was released due to medical reasons and Alex Sandro was snatched by PSG, for a mere £13m, a brilliant bargain, given Luke Shaw was valued at £75m or so...

The midfield three is made up of Andrea Pirlo, operating in a deeper position in front of the back three, with Pogba and Vidal in front of him. Cover was provided by Marchisio and Asamoah, who were both capable of playing any role in the three. But how will Juventus fair given both there reserves have left during the close season in seek of first team football.
Pirlo's magic was obviously key to this side, dictating the tempo, and providing options to the back three if the ball can’t be brought out. He makes it possible for the same attacking method to be used as his range of passing is exquisite, and he can receive the ball and quickly play in to the front men, both dropping off or in behind, or move it elsewhere.
He rarely gives away possession. Again the same issue sounds, just as it did for Buffon and bornexplorer88 has brought in some competition for Pirlo as he begins to wind down his career.

Vidal and Pogba both provide goals from midfield, are powerful players, and their defensive work is not taken for granted either. Pogba is capable of winning the ball in midfield, carrying it forward and scoring. The same is said of Vidal, and in tight matches, moments like that can make all the difference.

Up front Juventus arguably had the best strike partnership in Europe last season. Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. Both can drop of the front line, or play on the last man. Both can hold the ball up back to goal, turn and shoot, or find their strike partner.
They seem to work well together, and make runs that compliment one another. Will be interesting to see how there partnership fairs in La Liga as both leave for Spanish outfit, Real Betis for a combined fee of £80m.
AC Milan away is one example, Milan having matched Juventus, before Tevez lashed a volley in from outside the box to kill the match. He also scored a good goal on the turn at home to Torino in a move that encapsulated his sides attacking play. Caceres brought the ball into the opposition half, finding Asamoah wide on the left, who cut the ball low to the edge of the box, where Tevez had dropped of his marker, turned and fired into the bottom corner.

Juventus were the full package last season, but how will they fare given the amount of key players departed already in this preseason.
"We hope to hear from bornexplorer88 very soon, with his plans for this coming season and just a good old general chit chat."
