Hull city today announce new club chairman Craig Smith. The Scottish millionaire takes over as he looks to bring future successes to the club. With only a couple of hours left of the transfer window following his arrival, the new chairman has been unable to bring in as many transfers as he'd of liked. Hull had a respectable finish last year in 12th and will be looking forward to another decent season with their three new arrivals. The new chairman is likely to spend big in the future, so new signings are expected in January.
Steve Bruce will remain in charge after a very successful previous two years in charge.

"Bruce has already taken the club forward within his first two seasons, therefore I still see him as the man to continue the growth of the club." - Craig Smith

Virgil Van Dijk leaves Celtic after a successful first season. The Dutch centre back joins Hull for £6 million pounds and at 23 he still has many great years ahead of him.

Joel Ward arrives at Hull from relegated Crystal Palace for just £1.9 million pounds. Another young player with many years still to come.

Twenty one year old Swiss international Ricardo Rodriguez became our third and final new signing. He arrived from Bayern Munich for £22 million pounds. He is most definitely a player for the future and Hull will be very excited for his arrival.
"We've signed three players who are going to be key in an area I felt needed strengthening, the rest of the squad will be given their chance to show their worth until January, where we could add one or two more players if we struggle." - Craig Smith
