Celta Vigo Announce New Signing

Celta Vigo today announced that Ciro Immobile will be Arsene Wenger's first signing as manager of Celta Vigo, and here is what the Frenchman has to say on the matter

"Signing Immobile represents a chance to do some excellent business he is young, quick, strong, can finish and He likes to cut in from the channels. He provides excellent depth for our striking department too with Berardi and Benteke already forming a nice partnership Immobile gives us a different option expect him to make his debut very soon quite possibly against Madrid."

We will undoubtedly see more activity from the frenchman but maybe not in this window we all know however that chairman Dale Henderson wants to avoid another window that ends in fiasco so will be keeping a very close eye on the purse strings.

Transfer Window is now shut the successful offers for free transfers are as follows

Gareth Barry, Victor Valdes Everton

Tom Ince Southampton
Vidic, Propper Anderlecht

Part of me is happy with these deals but I am now wondering whether I could of offered lower wages for the players.

edit - oh by the way yes theres 2 active managers now but some bright spark at SI decided to go for ultimate realism so I couldn't watch all the games because they kicked off at the same time so had to create a second manager to do this

edit 2 - don't worry about your frees they will be in your teams next season

European Football Roundup

Welcome to the latest instalment of our series looking at clubs that have been bought by sugar daddies throughout Europe

Premier Division

Newcastle United have made real Inroads in to the top 4 and currently sit 3rd with a game in hand Mourinho seems to have really worked his magic on the Magpies Diego Costa being Particularly impressive leading the scoring charts on 19 goals. Everton meanwhile have slipped out the top 4 to 7th but remain only 3 points off that crucial 4th spot. Southampton are down in 9th but seem to have sorted out their consistency at least. Bolton Meanwhile are 6 points clear in the promotion race and must surely be looking forward to going up. Both Everton and Newcastle have FA cup Semi Finals to look forward to as well against Man City and Man Utd respectively

Belgium

Anderlecht finally found some form and are now third in the champions group stage and will be hoping to seal the title and champions league football in these coming weeks the club will be hoping Mitrovic carrie on scoring with 5 in his last 5

France

Next we go to Ligue 1 and PSG are running away with the league and have also qualified for the champions League quarter finals with a tie against English champions Man Utd can PSG finally win Europes Elite Trophy time will tell.

Holland

Ajax are currently 4 points clear at the top of Erevidisie and are on course to win their 33rd title, James Rodriguez has been crucial for the De Godenzonen and they will be looking to seal the title and build for next season.

Germany

Schalke have pulled the points gap back to be 5 points behind Bayern in the race for the title, they are currently in the Europa League quarter finals and have an outside chance at catching second or third but they must be wary as the chasing pack are not far behind. Also in Germany we are keeping an eye on 1860 Munich and they are running away with the league and are ten points clear.

Italy

In Italy we are keeping up with Juventus and Inter who are slugging it out for the Serie A title, Juve currently sit 4 points clear at the top but have the champions league and an Italian cup final to negotiate Inter will be hoping for a slip up from the Italian Champions.

Portugal

FCP currently sit 2 points behind leaders Braga with 5 games left in the portuguese league, they also have a Taca De Portugal Cup Final to look forward too.FCP have already secured champions league football for next season but will desperately want a title win

Spain

The two clubs taken over in La Liga have managed to cement a top 4 position in the league and with Madrid more or less safe as league leaders both clubs will be looking to secure champions league football. Betis currently sit second on 60 points with one of the meanest defences in the league. Celta currently sit 4th and are 4 points clear of Valencia in fifth and will be hoping they can hold on to that critical 4th place

Business as usual for Conte's Juventus

bornexplorer88:
"Inspiring performances by our boys against Bayern Munich and Napoli, to keep the treble alive!! EXCITED!! The team are looking very solid and seem to scoring for fun at the moment. Despite this current form, we are slightly concerned that yet again, Conte refuses to spend the money we provide him. Given the performance so far this season, we're quids in...but we were hoping he would use the £80m to look to the future and secure some of the best world young starlets. A thought in the back of my mind is that Conte's small squad may not serve him well in the final stretch of the season, we will see how he adapts to the lose of Vidal and Chiellini in the first leg against AC Milan in the Champions League Quarters,

As always, we have total faith in Antonio's judgements and his small squad is allowing our younger talents more game time and we expect Zouma to slot straight in for Chiellini on Wednesday.

In Conte we trust!"

Bizarre Business
In other news, Manager Luigi DI Biagio of Inter Milan has become a bit of a laughing stock among the League of Chairmans. The so called "title contenders" have been publicly humiliated by signing the Emile Heskey of his generation! The one and only Nicklas Bendtner, who is yet to score a single goal for Internazionale in his first five appearances. I'm sure the Juventus Chairman hopes he see's some more game time, we also think he needs a chance to prove his worth!

Skybet offers 10/1 on a double departure at Internazionale: Di Biagio's dismissal and Bendtner's immediate release

Cheick Enjoys Spain Lifestyle

Billionaire owner Dale Henderson has let new manager Arsene Wenger splash the cash and especially on 8.5m man Cheick Tiote. Tiote joined Celta in January, and that caused many people to be upset about the loss of their star man. Jake Robinson had to say "I was away, I was spending time with my family and left all transfer related business to Jose, I'm not disappointed in him, Cheick wanted to leave and you can't have an unsettled player disrupting the camp, so Jose did the right thing. Cheick Tiote is a very good player and he will be missed in these parts of the country, but that's life in football. You can never get too attached to a player."

Cheick Tiote on the other hand doesn't regret forcing a move "Firstly thank you Newcastle supporters for your fantastic support over the years, I love you guys very much and you will always have a place in my heart. Football is a career and I want to succeed in my career, that is why I chose to leave and now one day I can tell my kids I have played for the greatest team in Spain. The culture here is very different but I love it, especially the warm weather too, that is a lot different to England."

Newcastle's signing of the season?

9 games 7 assists that's more assists this season than Gundongan, Cazorla, Bender, Jesus Navas, Ramsey, Yaya Toure, Oscar, Lallana and in other leagues more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Xavi but who has it come from? Yes you can believe your eyes centre back that is playing right back Jerome Boateng. He has kicked off with a bang in his new life in England and has been the silent hero for Newcastle. 17m this man cost and could've and should've cost a lot more. Let's hope he continues his fine form.

To be honest I am a little disappointed in the results in the second part of the season. But it's nothing we can't overcome. Di Biagio has done a very fine job. If I had hired him from the start of the season, then right now we would probably sit on the first place. And watch down to AC Milan from higher up than right now. Mourinho did a bad, bad job here. I'm surprised to see him doing so "well" *cough-sitting-on-the-third-place-cough* for Newcastle.

Anyway, we are on the 2nd spot. Juventus is first. We got kicked out of the Italian Cup cause we lost to Juventus 0-1.

January was the worst month as we only won 1 match and drew another one.

As for Bendtner, his transfer was solely Luigi's idea. And I trust Luigi. If he tells he can bring the most out of him, then he will bring the most out of him.

PSG Chairman Excited about PSG's Future!!

Matt Smith: "I am extremely happy with out season so far! Ibra has been on fire!"

"We are running away with the Ligue 1 title, which I knew we would have once our main defenders got back from long term injuries."

"The surprise and excitement has come from out recent success over Barcelona in the champions league. We held them to a 0-0 draw in Paris and then we drew 1-1 at the Nou Camp, meaning we got through to the quarter finals on away goals! We face a tricky test with Manchester United as you never no which team which show up, Alex's or Moye's version on United! I am confident in Laudrup's ability to get the job done though."

Cheick Tiote will most likely never play for the best club in Spain, maybe the second best club, but not Betis:P

Hi, this looks really fun. I was just wondering, are you still looking for new people? If so, I would love to be the Liverpool chairman :) Thanks!

(If Liverpool is taken then Benfica :) )
