Not really the most important thing right now but I was wondering whether it would be possible to put together a list of everyone that is currently involved in the game. It will make it easier when it comes to transfers as I have more than once found a player I wanted only to find that someone else has signed them for their club.

Football welcomed another new chairman into the fold yesterday, as Atalanta welcomed Mr God Fish, an English businessman, as their new chairman. Fans were already proclaiming their new chairman as the saviour, and are expecting great things from this regime. Already, speculation of massive change is afoot. Early comments suggest that the new chairman wants to break the monotony of the bigger clubs winning everything, suggesting that it’s “about time someone else got a turn”. Quite how the two superpowers of the league, the chairmen of Inter and Juve, will see another rival come into money is anyone’s guess, but one suspects the reaction won’t be a pleasant one. One thing is for certain, Serie A is going to be incredibly spicy this season, you won’t want to miss this!

Newcastle Evening Post looks at the new signing of Nathaniel Clyne. He cost Newcastle 30m but didn't complete his move in time in January so stayed at Southampton until the end of the season. Now we have a look at our new man.

Name: Nathaniel Clyne
Position: Right Back
Clubs: Crystal Palace (07-12) 127 apps 1 goal, Southampton (12-14) 69 apps 1 goal
Reason for move: "Newcastle is a great club and a club that is definitely going places and I look forward to be part of this great clubs future"

The attacking full back had been one of the better players for the Saints last season, he was influential in defence and in attack causing the opposition many problems. The young man made an average of 4.62 tackles per game and also made an average of 1.72 dribbles per game. The fullbacks passing wasn't bad either at a respectable rate of 75%.

A Saints fan said about Clyne: "A very good player who can play on the right or on the left in defence, he works really hard for the team and is always bombing up and down the pitch. He is a handful for defenders and makes a lot of crosses and is also very proven in defence. One problem is he drifts in and out of games at times and can have periods of poor form but all in all a quality signing for Newcastle and will be a future England international, such a shame we couldn't keep hold of him."​

Youngsters told they can leave temporarily

3 youngsters at Everton have been told that they can be loaned out for the season as the club to give them more playing experience. The only thing the chairman Gonzalo Flores said was that he wanted assurances that the players would be given adequate playing time in order to help them progress footballers. The players that have been listed are:

Mason Bennett

BENFICA SOLD AFTER MEDIOCRE SEASON FOR £260M


Rumors have been circulating about a change of ownership for months, with the previous owners were reportedly frustrated that the Portuguese giants were not turning over the money they would like.

Now, after a frustrating season for the Portuguese club in which they could only manage to win a single trophy, Joshua O'Driscoll has taken over the club for a fee reported to be around £260m

The new owner of S.L. Benfica, Joshua O'Driscoll, was interviewed by our very own Geoff Shreeves:

Shreeves: Joshua, obviously Benfica is a big club with a lot of history, are you confident of dealing with the weight and expectation when trying to manage this big club?

O'Driscoll: Benfica is, as you said, a big club, and I can promise the supporters that my expectation for the squad, and the club, is to win. I will not accept anything less than success.

Shreeves: You told us off-screen earlier that you once worked with Daniel Levy a long while ago, what did you learn from being around such an experienced chairman, and can you take anything from the Tottenham chairman which you can try and implement or follow when managing Benfica?

O'Driscoll: Levy is one of the friendliest people in football today. While working with Daniel Levy, he showed me how to waste your money on average players while not being able to keep your own. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Daniel Levy, but I do not plan to follow his footsteps when managing Benfica.

Shreeves: In regards to the management of Benfica, do you have any managers in mind to take over the club? Or are you planning to stick with Jorge Jesus?

O'Driscoll: I had a chat with Jorge last week actually. Whilst we both have the same ambitions in wanting to win every single game, we could simply not agree on giving him a £240M budget to spend on players, so therefore I can confirm what I already told him last week, Jorge Jesus will not be our manager for Benfica going onwards. We wish Jorge Jesus well in his future endeavors.

Shreeves: Just to repeat the last part of my earlier question, do you have anyone in mind to take over from Jorge Jesus?

O'Driscoll: We have looked at candidates who could fill the manager role and we have a few names lined up. We do not want to rush the decision though, as I understand that the supporters want the club to make the right choices, and not the wrong ones.

Shreeves: When can we expect an announcement on the new manager of Benfica? Can you give us a timeline?

O'Driscoll: Well, I am going to make some phone calls tonight, and then decide on who the best person is the for the role. So the best answer I can give you now, Geoff, is that we will announce the new manager shortly.

Shreeves: Thank you for taking time to speak to Sky Sports News!

O'Driscoll: Thank you.

Everton announce a new addition


Everton have announced the signing of kostas Mitroglou from recently relegated Fulham. It is believed the fee for the man is roughly around £1 Million. Even though Fulham were relegated, Mitroglou was able to show his own quality by getting 18 goals in the Premier league and ending up as the second top goal scorer in the league. Everton will be hoping he will be able to replicate that kind of form for them as he challenges with Jese for a place in the starting 11. With both Lukaku and Traore both leaving after their loan deals finished Everton needed to sign a new striker with the only recognised strikers at the club being Jese and youngster Mason Bennett.

To be honest last season he didn't get too much playing time due to the signings Reus and Ayew, and also having Mirallas at the club as well. This may have stunted his growth a bit. I have managed Everton on other saves before however and he has been a good player for me but with Mirallas at the club he has never been more than a rotation player. If he gets regular playing time he could be a good player for you. He does have the speed to be an impact player as well. I was thinking of trying to bring him back but I am now looking for a new winger.
 
I was looking for a winger in case if any depart, I knew he looked decent from real life just not sure in game

Lamela arrives from spurs, we know how high a caliber player he is! He has the flair, the speed and finishing to be a deadly player for us. He will slot straight into the RW position.

The young full back arrives from real madrid to give competition to van der wiel, he will become my number one right back sooner rather than later! He is able to burst forward and assist in the attack, yet also has defensive ability!


Sky Sports: "You mention Lamela will be automatically first choice RW, does that mean Lucas is available to other clubs?"

Laudrup: "He could be, yes, for the right price of course. If we dont get an offer meeting our valuation then he will stay here...there are plenty of games in a season to keep both players entertained!"

Everton bring in 5 new faces


Everton have incredibly announced 5 new signings to take their total in the summer to 6. Both Gareth Barry and Victor Valdes have been brought into the club on free transfers after their contracts at their previous clubs both expired. Gareth Barry of course spent the previous season on loan at Goodison Park and will be able to fit straight back in to usual surroundings. The other 3 signings were all arranged by manager Roberto Martinez as he looks to bolster his squad as he now has European football to contest in this season. His has signed Hiroshi Kiyotake, Fernando Gago and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa from Nurnberg, Boca Juniors and Newcastle United respectively. The total spent on these 3 players is believed to be £11.8 Million which means Everton have currently spent £12.8 Million this summer so far.

Everton have also announced that 2 players have been sold. Kevin Mirallas has been sold to PSG for £15 Million and Darron Gibson has been sold to Southampton for £4.6 Million. With the total from these sales just shy of £20 Million, Everton have made a profit so far this summer but from chairman Gonzalo Flores' last press statement it seems he is still in the market for more players.

"We will never stop trying to improve this team in any way possible. I am first of all happy to announce that I have invested in the facilities at the club and we can happily state that we have some of the best facilities in world football and we can challenge clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona on this front. We are also looking to make a couple more signings before the end of this transfer window. With the departures of both Deulofeu and Mirallas we are actively looking for another winger or 2 to join the club. At the moment that will be our only remaining movement in this transfer window but of course if the right player becomes available we will be able to move quickly to gain their signing."
