Once again, Burnley were undone by the wingers, Pedersen nicked the ball off Tyrone Mears before laying it off to N'Zonzi who buried it into the back of the net, Blackburn made it two after Jason Roberts beat the off sde trap to hammer home, Burnley had late chances that were spurned by Traore and Rodriguez, the two substitutes.
After the game Burnley fans announced there dissapointment within the side, they were saddened to lose to local rivals Blackburn and fully expects the side to bounce back in the next few games, supporters spokesperson Graham Hall said "the fans were devastated by the result, we feel that we should be competing with teams like Blackburn and Wigan, we fully expect the team to fight back in the coming weeks".

Everton 2 - 0 Burnley
Once again, the Clarets second string was fielded in the League cup, they started brightly before Mark Wilson got sent off for a dangerous challaenge, Brazilian striker Jo was quick to put Everton in front and then Everton's russian winger finished Burnley off just before half time, Burnley never threatened in second half with there strikers doing more defending than attacking.
Rudolf Martinez said "There is huge pressure for the boys to get a result against Villa on saturday, we cannot let the fans go home dissapointed again, I just hope the players realise this, I've said this before and I'll say it again, this is a marathon and not a sprint"
Burnley 2 - 1 Aston Villa

A sublime performance from Burnley saw them run out winners in this one, Jensen was keen to put his body on the line for everything that came his way, however he could not stop a Lukovic own goal when Jensen parried on to Lukovic from Ashley Young's corner, it hit the defenders back and fell over the goal line, however Burnley rallied on and the lively Martin Paterson got in behind the Villa defence to rifle one in with his right foot, the two sides enter half 1 a piece, in the second half, veteran Graham Alexander was brought on and end up scoring a sublime goal from 25 yards out to give Burnley the win, Burnley held on in the last ten minutes despite pressure from Villa.
Burnley midfielder Aron Gunnarson has returned to training after recovering from a niggle.
Burnley next game is against Liverpool, the press have announced it would be near impossible for Burnley to come away with a result.
Liverpool 3 - 0 Burnley
Burnley came away from the game with nothing but they still put in a credible performance, "sometimes you just can't beat the best teams how ever well you play" said Martinez. Liverpool went ahead through a Insua free kick which was nodded in by Torres, Brian Jensen was left embrassed when he scored an own goal and Dirk Kuyt won the game with a head from Insua's corner.
Burnley now find themselves in 10th place after 8 games, SSN caught up with Manager Rudolf Martinez who said "I am delighted with the current form the team is showing, Turf Moor will be vital to us this season as we aren't picking up many points away, I shall try my best to improve that but I can't make any promises, we are performing above expectations at the moment which will sure delight the board, fans and even us employee's alike". Burnley's next game is after the international break against so there players will be able to get much rest from the early season fixtures they have had to endure.
Stephen Jordan is on his way out of Turf Moor after Burnley accepted bids in excess of 1 Million pounds from Swansea and Doncaster, Martinez said "Jordan has been fantastic for the club over the past few years but unfortunatley we do not have room to accomodate him with first team football, we which Stephen a great future with which ever club he decides to sign with".
Stephen Jordan has signed for Welsh side Swansea City, Burnley have collected a fee of 1 Million pounds which will be paid over 48 months.
