A Welcome Return

The screenshots tell themselves got some promising players and a very strong squad.

This is my first game of pre-season.

My record Rimini signing in German Jara commanding a fee of 1.4 Million.

some very good signings there, hopefully you can push on :) I'm sure you'll gain promotion.

thats proper good mate your available wage budget is my wage budget haha I have about 10K available, you've got the club going in the right direction. is the goal to get promoted then do a season in serie a or is it a long term project.

I like to see it as a long term project, because I set my Manager experience as automatic, I seem to get linked with every job on the market unless it is a huge club, I hope to do at least two seasons in the Serie A with Rimini and then I may consider returning to England or going to Spain.

Ruopolo Signs

Italian Striker Francesco Ruopolo has signed for Rimini in a deal believed to be worth 450k, the striker caught the eye of the Biancorossi's Manager Rudolf Martinez after scoring four goals in one game for AlbinoLeffe against Rimini last season.

Italian Cup

Five Star Performance
Rimini 5 - 0 Verona
Ruopolo (2), Zarate, Sigurdsson, Barazite
Rimini 2nd round Italian Cup game proved to be an excellent start to the season, they took the lead through Ruopolo with a tight finish just inside the box, Zarate doubled Rimini's lead by beating the offside trap and then lobbing the Verona keeper, Ruopolo got his brace just before half time. In the second half, Gylfi Sigurdsson marred his debut with a stunning goal in the 71st minute and Barazite on loan from Arsenal completed the rout with a 20 yard strike.

Italian Cup

Siena 2 - 1 Rimini
Djuric
Rimini performed well against Serie A side Siena today, they were unlucky not to win and went down to two late goals, Zarate had a few chances to put Rimini ahead but blusted them wide or over, Siena's Parravincini then had a goal dissallowed in the second half, how ever he got one back on the ref after scoring a screamer in the 80th minute, Rimini tried to react but failed to do so and keeper' Pelizzoli embarrassingly put the ball in his own net, Rimini fought back with on loan striker Djuric getting the consolation.

The Serie B season starts HERE

Some very good signings there Jack, Added a few extra strikers which is where you were alittle off it last season apart from Zarate so hopefully they will perform for you and get you those goals you need, Should be a good season for you this time around.

Good luck with the league games Jack, nice 15-0 friendly win! I like the signing of Jera, looks like he'll turn into a real fine player.

Ironic how Jack made a story a week before Coyle resigned from Burnley to join Bolton after Megson left..

I could never be a manager of a team I've never heard of and be so into it so well done for that :) (Y)

Cheers, taking a break for a bit as I am doing the Journeyman Race, I shall be on it some time this week.

Sorry haven't done reports for the first 5 games as I wrote them but lost them, here's the 6th match though.

Rimini Return

Crotone 0 - 3 Rimini
Destro (2), Ruopolo
Mattia Destro scored his 5th and 6th League goal of the season as he inspired Rimini to victory, the youngster put the Biancorossi one up before half time, he then doubled there lead in the second after beating the offside trap and then scoring with a neat right foot finish, substitute Ruopolo confirmed victory with a sweet strike just inside the box.

Loyalty

Today it is believed that former Burnley and current Rimini Manager Rudolf Martinez rejected the chance to manage QPR, the Hoops who recently sacked Jim Magilton offered Martinez a contract which he was quick to reject, Martinez said "I am fully dedicated to Rimini and seeing them advance as a club, I am not interested in Managing Queens Park Rangers or any other job for a matter of fact, they did offer me a nice contract and a big budget but I rejected this, the only place I want to be this season is with the Biancorossi, I would to ensure that all fans know this, this will be an exciting season for us all".

Future Star
Inter Milan striker Mattia Destro will join Rimini on a permanent deal when his loan ends at the club for this current season, the young striker who has now scored 16 goals over two seasons for the Biancorossi joins for a fee of 2 Million pounds and wages of £15,000 a week, however, the transfer will not be made permanent until the 2nd January 2012.

Mid-Season Update

Sorry for the lack of updates, been busy and haven't been able to do match reports because of things such as homework, still playing the game though.

New Boys

Rimini have confirmed the signing of versatile Englishman Matty Taylor, the left sided player joins for 625k on a two year deal, Rimini also signed Mattia Destro on a permanent deal for a fee of 2 Million, the Biancorossi Manager said "We our delighted to be able to attract two players of such pristine ability to our team, Taylor offers us experience and guile down the left side while Destro youthfulness and enthusiasm will be a pain for any side we face, we have been looking a these players for a while now and fully believe they can aid our promotion challenge".

Rimini are currently leading the Serie B standings at the mid way point with some fantastic performances over the opposition and there fellow promotion challengers, Rimini finished just outside the playoffs last season and were predicted 9th this season, however, the Biancorossi have made a big impact this season and are threatening to go all the way. Rimini have only lost three games so far this season against Empoli, Vincenza and most recently a 1 nil defeat at home to rivals Cesena which allowed Padova to get in front at the top of the table on goal difference. One pundit claimed that the key to Rimini's success this season was the defensive partnership of Jorge Garcia and on loan Fiorentina star Gianluca Romiti.

Thierno Bah has departed from Rimini for a fee of 2.7 Million, this is the highest fee Rimini have ever received for a player, the Guinean International joins Swiss side Young Boys.

fantastic signing in destro and taylor is great aswell. if you get promoted how many signings do you think youd need to make

Not many to be honest, maybe a few centre back, I have a very strong side on paper but sometimes they let themselves down, my strikers are pretty weak physically apart from Destro.

I have great news, I shall update my story tomorrow as I am currently on laptop, managed to complete the season while server was down so I haven't got reports but I shall do a brief summary on season tomorrow morning, exciting stuff, trust me.
