I'm really looking forward to The Damned United about one of my hero's Brian Clough.

Looking forward to "Knowing" looks half decent.

Ditto!
That Sheen bloke looks a good actor!
Have you read the book?
I found out about it off my Hudd Town fan friend at uni and it's well worth a read!

Anybody thinking of seeing Mall Cop, save your money! Saw it with the missus over the weekend- utter ******* cheese!

last 3 films I seen (rented 3 for £10) were Scar, The Strangers and Amusement all horror gore films, and all decent budget films as well, no b-movie low budget style.

The Strangers - Not long come off the cinema and on to DVD, if have already seen this at the pictures, then I'm Truly sorry you had to sit through it, and if you walked out in the middle of the film that will have been the best choice of your life.

It starts off okay, with the suspense building by creepy knocking on the door at 4am, and seeing masked figures in th shadowss.
With Suspense to make it worth while something needs to happen, otherwise if nothing worthwhile is going to happen thats the point in the suspense. That sums up the feeling of the film.
That along with just about every bad horror film cliche shoved into one film.
Let me give just a few examples...........
Girl see's strange men outside house with masks on who have been knocking at her door, she does not call 911,she calls her boyfriend.
the boyyfriend arrives, and leaves his phone in the car ??
They find A gun, so the boyfriend leaves the girl on her own inthe house takes the gun to a shed to try to call for help ??????
what ????

See its hard to care about the film when they do not show a little bit of survival instint or will to live.
For a horror film to be scar I think the Charectors need to have realist reactions to sitiations put before them.
I may have spoiled some of the film for people who have not seen it, but trust me there is nothing to spoil.

Scar - We were wathing the 2D version on DVD, I should of known t film was not going to be good, as it was a rushed script with a 3D gimmick thrown in to sell the film.
So the 2D version is just a rushed film with no gimmick to soften the blow.
the films plot is about a killer who played games with people then killed them, many years passed in the town then there was a copy cat killer in the town cough cough (basically just my ****** valentine but not as good)
Th plot just asumes you will no things bout the charecters and other things about the killer, forcing you to make up bits of the plot the writers left gaping holes in.
In a nutshell the film makes little sense.

Amusement - The better of the 3 films we seen, but sill a poor poor film. The front cover had a freaky picture of a clown on it, so it looked promising. Turns out the clown is a small part of the film (about 10 minutes) the rest is about some bloke trying to track down this bunch of beautiful girls who bullied him when he was kid. Lots of things in the film dont really add up. Why the film got a decent budget I dont no, as the script is just a rip off of older good horror films. Avoid this film like your mum when shes drunk.

So those 3 films for now have destroyed my faith in horror films, can anyone recommend a decent horror film out there. One with some sort of charector development and orignalitly.

last good movie I watched (well, worth mentioning) was actually no country for old men, didn't udnerstand everything, mostly in the end but original enough to be more than average. On the other side, utorrent movies often have scenes missing this could be it. And the poor movie was rocky balboa (last one) I really love that movie, watched last rambo lately worst one of the four but still more than watchable. And I watched the covenant, classic teen movie to watch with a buffy-liking girl but still not that that bad.

Not been to the cinema in ages defanetly will have to go soon since my m8 knows a place you can have a pint while watching the film.

I went and seen the strangers with a girl certainly done the trick :P

Yea the film is very all over the shock. I would like comment the last bit [although forseeable] is quite scary.

Assasination of Jesse James 6/10 bit of a snore fest untill the end, wasnt what i thought it would have been like

Cassey Affleck looks like a pedo weirdo.

I hate Casey Affleck so much, l2speak

Lee clearly has a thing for people who cant speak properly, Mos Def, Casey Affleck, lives in Newcastle etc

just watched "the orphanage" - the spanish horror flick, got raved by loads of people so thought id give it a dig and wasnt impressed at all. someone told me it was the scariest movie ever n stuff, i got the whole "no cheap scares" and long term suspense and "chilling ending" and stuff but thought it was pretty **** overall

There isnt...not these days.

I'm sorry but they are all so yawn and predictable, Watched Jeepers creepers the other night

made me laugh more than anything else

here's some films i watch recently:

YES MAN - piece of ****, totally disappointment
TRANSPORTER 3 - not so bad, unrealistic but better then transporter 2
QUARANTINE - wtf?? who makes this kind of movies? comedy
GRAN TORINO - i liked this film, Clint is a mean motherf...
TAKEN - nice, didn't see that kind a action since Crank
*** DRIVE - stupid but funny
BOLT - pretty good cartoon
MARLEY & ME - it's ok, sad at the end, watch it with a girlfriend...

He was a great manager, theres no deying that. I found him far too opinionated on Hillsborough tho. Therefore i think he was a ***, basically.
