went to see Slumdog Millionare last night. Can see why it got so much praise i recomend it for anyone 9/10

Saw Watchmen at the Imax tonight. I'm a huge fan of the graphic novel and I adored the film. Spectacular and just about dark enough to convey the meaning of the novel. Girlfriend hasn't read the novel and she says she enjoyed it too, so I'm guessing if you're not expecting a 'Dark Knight' superhero romp, then you may enjoy it.

Rorschach is cast absolutely spot on.

So far ive heard a small audio clip and read a one sentence review on twitter by Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai and its not tempted me at all to go see this film.

Basically Ive vowed never to go to a film one of my mates suggests as they are always **** and hes desperate to see Watchmen.

According to SB the soundtrack is terrible and from the audio clip I heard it looks like he could be right, plus the way the diagloue was delivered sounded horrible.

Watched Mullholland Drive the other day, absolutly stunk of David Lynch (which is a good thing). Not sure if I liked it or I didnt, first film ive ever seen where I didnt have a good grasp of what went on, had to read a bit on the net for it to make more sense. So basically if you enjoy Lynchs directing its a must see but the story telling wasnt great. O also if you find Noami Watts hot, watch it :)

Rewatched Midnight Cowboy as well, classic, gets better everytime I watch it (which is twice :P)

the chick of mullholland drive is AMAZING WHAT A PAIR!!!!!!!!
I don't watch many ''modern'' movies, my two last dls were rambo 2 and predator 2 and last theatre was John Rambo (which sucked even for a rambo movie) but I am definetly looking forward to Terminator Salvation although I guess there is so much expected out of it that it just won't be that good. (yeah, I love drama movies).
But I had the pleasure to watch a movie that goes to the top 10 worst moviees ever, ''I am legend''. Jesus, it was painful to watch.

watched quite a bit recently

American Beauty 8/10- just so odd but ****** brill at the same time

Underworld 1/2-both meh films that i would never buy or make effort to watch again 6/10

Schindlers List-****** long but good, makes you think aswell 8/10

Saving Private Ryan- 7.5/10- a good film but not the best

Borat- first time watching it since the cinema, good laugh once in a while 7/10

Saving private Ryan is ****,it totally writes the British out of the war, typical Hollywood.Schindlers List is a brilliant film if you haven't seen it,but not one i could watch again, far too disturbing.

The soundtrack isn't too bad, most of it is 'period' music which is mentioned in the graphic novel with a few nods towards lyrics and music cited in the novel.

The dialogue is kind of stilted at times but The Watchmen is a parody of the whole superhero idea, so I wasn't expecting much more. The dialogue in Dark Knight was equally ropey in both content and delivery, but it's still a decent film.

Think Watchmen is very evenly divided between those who love it and those who hate it. :)

honestly, am really not pro or anti american, but 90% of the operation overlord divisions were yankees. (yeah I played A LOT of WWII strategy games)

Original forces landed: 75,215 British and Canadian, 57,500 US troops. During the following months the US forces did eventually outnumber the British forces on the continent. But not for several months. ;)

Saving Private Ryan isn't the worst though as it focuses on Utah and that was some distance away from where the British were fighting. It's when the USA suddenly starts taking responsibility for British wartime actions it likes that it gets a little annoying :)

Your talking out of your rear end mate, get your facts right and stop being brain washed by US propaganda.

Watched Gran Torino, thought it was good, not fantastic, but definately one to watch. 7.5/10

Meh i'm not really fussed about the history side of it, more the story. Was an enjoyable film and thats the reason i watch films.

It just bugs me how the US & Hollywood claim other countries history as there own.The film U571 springs to mind.

Biggest load of bull Ive heard in a long time :P

Hardly 90% is it?

Not to mention probably the most important operation of the invasion (capture of Pegasus Bridge) was an entirely British operation. Failure to capture the bridge would have given the German tanks free reign onto the beaches and potentially repel the invasion.

Taken with Liam Neeson is a top film, watched it other night.

The only film i've watched recently is Marley & Me. It was alright i suppose thoug i wouldn't watch it again.

Films i'm looking forward to seeing are; Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and New Moon. <3

Both of which are all about the money nowadays!.

Have you read the Marley and Me book? Girlfriend has and says it's a good read, and the film obviously wasn't as good.
