The reviews ive heard have said its a horrible scene/emo film. The way they use songs from The Smiths etc so i'd rather not watch it, even though JG-L pwnz

Aye just watch that. The most annoying thing is the narrator, its like watching "Babe" but for 17 yr olds still wearing the same jeans from 1995. Very emo indeed then again you cant fault a film that has mention of belle & sebastian, doves, joy division, the clash and the odd smith track (H)
Terrible terrible storyline...

On the plus watched "in bruges" and "tell no one" easily add them in both my all time fave films both 9/10
Laughing throughout especially at the yank bashing
Overweight Man: Been to the top of the tower?
Ray: Yeah... yeah, it's rubbish.
Overweight Man: It is? The guide book says it's a must see.
Ray: Well you lot ain't going up there.
Overweight Man: Pardon me? Why?
Ray: I mean, it's all winding stairs. I'm not being funny.
Overweight Man: What exactly are you trying to say?
Ray: What exactly am I trying to say? You's a bunch of ******' elephants.
[overweight man attempts to chase Ray around but quickly grows tired]
Ray: Come on, leave it fatty!
[the overweight women calm down the overweight man]
Overweight Woman #2: [to Ray] You know you're just the rudest man. The rudest man!
Ken: [coming back from the tower] What's all that about?
[Ray shrugs]
Ken: They're not going up there.
[to overweight family]
Ken: Hey, guys. I wouldn't go up there. It's really narrow.
Overweight Woman #2: Screw you, ************!
Ken: [to Ray] What was that about?
Ray: [shrugs]

Also saw "Dead Man's Shoes", love that film 10/10, amazing soundtrack good acting good storyline can easily watch it over and over again!

Watched the following recently

I watched after all the hype, was a let down, although it does have a couple of Aphex songs iirc

Watched Dead Man Running last night. Danny Dyer is in it so i was expecting one of those typical cockney waffle gangster films, but i actually quite enjoyed it. A good fast paced story in the mould of lock stock, also quite funny in places. Also starring 50 cent. 7\10

Ken: Coming up?
Ray: What's up there?
Ken: The view.
Ray: The view of what? The view of down here? I can see that down here.
Ken: Ray, you are about the worst tourist in the whole world.
Ray: Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.

Epic Film. Maybe i will watch it with lee to **** you off Greggy.
Hahaha, it's chock full of fantastic quotes.

"Don't be stupid. This is the shootout."

Ralph Fiennes has some of the greatest lines ever spoken my anyone in the film. His character is an admirable man, truly. This also tickled me:

"Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really ****, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.":wub::wub:

Films ive watched recently.

Triangle. Very strange film this but not unenjoyable.A cross between Groundhog Day,Ghost Ship and the Twilight Zone. Tense and at times confusing about a woman going through a weird recurring nightmare. 8/10

Harry Brown. Good performance by Michael Caine in this film about a former marine now elderly gent who decides to dish out some violent retribution against the chav scum who terrorize his neighbourhood. A decent watch. 7/10

Been having an Arnie marathon heres a list of what I've watched so far:

Commando
True Lies
Predator
The Last Action Hero

Also fans of action movies look out for The Expendebles.

I thought Harry Brown was a great film too! I'd kinda forgotten how good an actor Michael Caine is! I'll watch it again for sure..

Also watched Stardust for the first time tonight, suprisingly good if not almost great film! story is a bit complicated but its very very watchable and very well acted! the cast is fantastic (Bobby De Niro rules as usual!) 7.5/10

Bought The Hurt Locker on blu-ray before as well, looking forward to it likeee ALOT

I deliberately ignored Stardust today, despite the constant adverts for it on TV throughout the week.

Assumed it would be awful, but I guess I could download it.

I did however watch 30 Days of Night. Do yourselves a favour and stay away from that one. It's absolutely terrible.

Now i read this :(

# # #

Watched 4 films over the weekend with Sean,Lee and Becky

UP - 5/10 - Had high hopes for it but a slow and sucky story which picked up a bit at the end.

Law Abiding Citizen - 6/10 - Was not too keen on this when i saw it advertised and i proved myself right. Was ok, the story was decent but the ending was terrible. Even managed to fall asleep :)

IN Bruges 9/10 - Lee and i went on about it for about two days and finally got Sean and Becky in the mood to watch it. About the 5th time i have seen this now and it never gets old.

30 days of night 3/10 Only gets a three because of the company i was with. Stupid Ewok sounding weird looking Vampires rarely killing people and more the towns folk running around going 'are they outside?...boo...ahh kidding'

The Ending was tragic too.

Harsh on UP, thought it was a great film 7/10 for shiz. Agree with In Bruges, another great film.

Also harsh on 30 days of night lol, agree about ending it's awful but some of the film was decent to watch, probably a 5/10 at least!

i enjoyed lawabiding citizen, got a bit far fetched, and the ending was a bit pants, but a decent thrill ride nonetheless

Last Couple of Films

The Crazies - Yet another end of humanity type film, nothing new here, it does not always need to be, if you do whats been done before well you have a great film.
Thats what we have here, this is the route the road should have taken
7/10

Soloman Kane - I seen this film with no expectation or any idea what it was about, an impluse visit the cinema.
I was very impressed, heavy action, violence, and a reason to admire the star (wont go into it will spoil) makes this film what it is.
7.5/10

Alice In Wonderland 3D - Had to see this film because my girlfriend made me, first of all I will address the 3D.
There was none, (apart from the butterfly at the end) other than that you were just watching a film with glasses on.
The trailers shown some amazing 3D effects but they were missing in this film, did they forget it was 3D until the end.
The film its self is just plain weird, like the classic original but with today's CGI added for extra effect, and Tim Burtons spin on the story.
Its the strangest film I seen in a long but was still very entertaining with plenty of lovable characters who you just want to see happy, thats what disney do best
7/10

Saw Green Zone yesterday. Good film, but I have mixed feelings about it. The trailer gives the total wrong idea on the film for people (semi-like me) who didn't read much of a synopsis. Because it makes you think that, basically, the govt./ US Army are trying to kill Matt Damon's character whereas they're not, instead they're trying to kill one of Saddam's generals for a reason I won't explain.
The film flows very well, and is at a constant high-octane pace. The action scenes rival those from the Bourne trilogy, truly stunning. Especially the chase at the end!
Only downfall, for me, is that you come away from the film feeling like it ended to suddenly. Good watch tho! 8/10

The Hurt Locker - Fantastic. The cinematography was immense as was the acting. It depicted the war on terrorism in a slightly more realistic way then others have and it really fleshed it out. The main 3 actors in it are all superb and it is nerve shredding to say the least. If you haven't already seen it, I do reccomend.

And to comment on a couple of other movies you guys have rated:

Up- It was really good IMO, thoroghly enjoyable

Alice In Wonderland - Shitshitshit.

Watched 'One flew over the cookoo's nest' the other night. Thought it was a griping story with great and unique characters. Jack Nicholson was excellent. The ending was a bit of a let down but maybe that was because i was hoping for a happy ending.

8/10

One of my all time favorite films, first seen it about 20 years ago and multiple times since. I thought the ending was perfect.

Did you spot Danny De Vitto? It was his first movie i believe.

I'll make a note to watch that sometime then. I do love me a bit of Jack Nicholson.
