I've seen Slumdog Millionaire, it has got to be one of the worst films I have seen myself! Some of it was just unnecessarily gory, and I just thought the plot was extremely stupid! I'd give it 3/10, as I did get to the end. I can't believe it has been nominated for various awards!

However, I've also seen The Social Network and I loved it! It's my kind of film, one which I can relate to as it's fairly realistic and the actors are brilliant! Unlike Slumdog Millionaire, this film seems actually real and not just a bunch of actors acting out a fairytale story! My rating? 9/10.

WHAT?! Some films aren't based firmly in reality?

Watched Immortals last night...******* awful to put it bluntly. Quality real sets(actually filmed in Crete), some top CG work, and you can tell it is a Tarsem movie, it is spectacular at points, but it doesn't take away the awful lackluster story telling.

3/10

3/10 for slumdog millionare you have no taste for films

Drive: 7/10 I enjoyed it, Ryan Gosling is a **** good actor! you did not know which way the movie was going to go!
Carnage: 8/10 Brilliant, clever, whitty and filmed in the same scene the whole movie! Typical Polanksi movie!
Contagion: 7/10 I enjoyed this too, some might find it boring, I found it clever and gripping!
Everything must go: 7/10 Love Will Ferrel and he was fantastic in this movie!

Jesus, did you actually watch Slumdog? It isn't my type of film, but I thought it was excellent. Social Network was good, but not a 9/10

Tower Heist - So many funny faces in it, yet I can't remember laughing once. Poor story, kinda like a failed Oceans 14 idea. 3/10

THey are pretty much the next ones on my list, apart from possibly Carnage, which I may take a look at.

M: Seen it many times before, great watch. 8.5/10 for me.

Presumed Guilty: Love this a lot. Gives a great insight into the Mexican judicial system and its flaws. A definite watch, my cup of tea. 8/10.

The Two Escobars: Not sure what it is I like so much about this, but it is really interesting, particularly so if you have some insight to the men themselves involved. 7.5/10.

The Other Dream Team: One of my personal favourite documentaries. I'm not going to go into it, just a must watch, in my eyes. 9/10.

Anyone seen Swordfish? I saw it when I was about 13 and don't think I appreciated it as much as I did when I saw it the other day. Such a good film, if you haven't seen it I would recommend it ;)

I also saw Unknown recently, a good film if you like twists and turns.

Triangle: A 2009 horror film, great plot, not much horror but enough for it 15 rating, got it on DVD, got to be the best film buy I ever brought. 8/10

Hop: A 2011 animation/comedy/family film, got a little lost in the plot half way through but kinda funny along the way. 7/10

Despicable Me: A 2010 Animation/Adventure/Comedy film with a PG rating, quite lost on the plot but as the same with Hop, it was funny all the way through the film. 7/10

Moneyball: 8.3/10 - Really good movie, great acting, good movie!
Detachment: 6.2/10 - Good acting, Adrien Brody was good, movie lacked something though..

In case you weren't aware it's part of the ESPN 30 for 30 series so definitely check out the other documentaries in the series. Every one I've watched so far has been great.

I wasn't, actually. Will definitely get through the list, normally prefer a good documentary to a film, personally.

Agree with raikan, I thought Moneyball was awesome (despite every scene involving baseball terms confusing the **** out of me).

Recently watched Hard Boiled, doubt I'll ever see a film with a higher death count...

sheeeeeit you must have a really complex rating system to give films 6.2's etc
