making a profit each month in the current economy is a stretch but I'd say that, considering the payroll and all of that, Brighton, Southampton and Huddersfield (League one) are the clubs you can have a lot of fun with without the entire takeover drama.

I can't find a good career, tried QPR and got sacked for the first time in any FM in January. Then tried Leeds, got sacked in January again and then I tried Leicester and got bored being 16th after about 20 games :/
 
Try Malaga. It is interesting to see how much money you need to spend to beat Barça and Real. However you need to give Malaga a foreground sugar daddy

Finances - Not too rich but not too poor.
Media Prediction - Bottom Half

Preferably a team that isn't in Europe and isn't known as a top team in their league with a couple of good youngsters in the team already and enough money to buy a couple of decent players although I'm not to bothered about money.

Tolouse, Caen, Newcastle, Gladbach all fit the bill.
