Lippo's Losers (Pink QPR) put in an excellent defensive showing to take a point from an entertaining encounter against Carlisle City (Blue QPR)
Carlisle City had the first big chance of the game in the 15th minute, when the ball eventually broke to Arda Turan from a Jordi Alba cross, but his effort from just over 6 yards out was superbly saved by Joe Hart. The resulting corner ultimately fell to Hernanes on the edge of the box, who dinked a pass inside and found Cerci, who volleyed towards goal only to again be thwarted by Hart. The ball was parried out to Alba, but his effort was tame, and the Lippo's Losers keeper held comfortably.
Carlisle City came forward again after half an hour with Cerci, who cut inside from the right and curled a shot which hit the post and bounced back into the path of Higuain, whose effort was somehow saved again by Hart. Carlisle City had another chance just moments later when Hernanes found Toure on the edge of the box, allowing Toure to fire a driven shot which Hart tipped wide of the post. The resulting corner was played short to Turan, who teed up Hernanes just inside the area, his effort was palmed out by Hart into one of his defenders, and Siqueira was on hand to clear off the line.
Lippo's Losers had a golden chance of their own in the very same passage of play, when Mario Gomez was set up 6 yards out with a cross, but his first time effort was superbly saved by Enyeama. Carlisle City eventually made the breakthrough in the 39th minute when Hernanes drilled a shot from the edge of the area which hit Siqueira on the way through, deflecting past the dive of the despairing Joe Hart to make it 1-0.

Lippo's Losers were not going to go down easily though, as David Silva's early cross just after half time found Gareth Bale, whose initial effort was saved by Enyeama, only for the rebound to fall right to him, allowing an easy finish to level the scoring.

Carlisle City thought they had regained the lead with 20 minutes to go when Cerci was played in by Lars Bender and his effort struck Thiago Silva and past Hart, but they were left disheartened when the linesman had his flag up for offside.
Carlisle City eventually managed to fashion a great chance in the 75th minute, finally beating the defense of Lippo's Losers when Turan played a through ball to Berbatov, but the Bulgarian could only blaze his shot over the bar.
Carlisle City had the better of the game but were restricted mainly to long range efforts, as they found it especially hard to break down the wall that was the back line of Lippo's Losers.
CCFC MOTM: Jordi Alba
LL MOTM: Joe Hart

Thanks to Lippo for the game, i'm glad it went a little better for me than our Ashes game, although i'm again a little gutted i didn't win, either way, i'm eagerly anticipating the Matt v Jamie result!
