Yup :) still awaiting DC's response!

I've just realised that no matter what the score none of them will be going through? So it seems silly for one to take a loss.

Play it in your own time lads, but we have 8 Quarter Finalists no matter what the result is so we may aswell get on with things.

It's my birthday tomorrrow though and I'm pretty tied up until monday, but I will try to get on it at random times and see if Lewie is online :)

You have more votes then Craig, the only person to take points off Jamie, & Brendn!?

I'm the only person to take points off Jamie, yet i also have the lowest points tally out of the qualifying players, scary.

If I'm going to play tonight, I'll need someone to recreate my team, my laptop's in repair, so I'll need the kind heartedness of someone. :)

Or wait til' it's finished?

What's the consensus guys; do we move on and let them play on their own time? Thoughts?

Just to confirm for MK, I will indeed have to forfeit this match as I genuinely dont have any time and dont think I will for the next few weeks at least. New job and moving has me really busy.

Good luck to everyone in the Quarter finals!

Fair play to you mate!

Just realised i have 2 votes on the strawpoll! Thanks to whoever that was, but i'll apologise in advance for letting you down!

Just so you know, me and Nomadic have already played our game, we're just wondering if the report/result should be posted or if we should wait until some previews have been done?

Would it be possible to get the knockout stage matches on the OP? I can't remember who I'm playing! I can ofc go looking through to find the post from earlier but...

No you can post them, I'll be doing reviews and previews of semi's but a bit busy at the moment; if you want to write previews that would be really cool!

Yea sorry totally forgot :)

CARLISLE CITY PULL OFF SHOCK WIN AGAINST SPARTAK BOSCO TO ADVANCE TO SEMI FINALS.

Carlisle City have booked their place in the next round of the FM Base World Cup after producing their best performance of the tournament against Spartak Bosco.

In a match which saw the team with the best group stage record go against the team with the worst, Carlisle City's clinical finishing was ultimately the difference.

The match started off fast paced, and City looked like they were going to take a first minute lead when Alessio Cerci cut inside from the right flank, but his effort was easily held by David De Gea. Spartak Bosco would run down the other end of the field, and after Edinson Cavani's initial effort struck the crossbar, the ball bounced out to Giuseppe Rossi, who had an easy finish to give Spartak an early lead.

City were determined not to go down without a fight however, and bagged an equaliser when Cerci again caused trouble down the right flank before cutting inside and curling a beautiful shot into the top left corner, leaving De Gea helpless.

Vincent Enyeama was again Carlisle City's savior in this match, pulling off some superb saves to deny both Lewandowski and Cavani. City would make sure those saves meant something, as they got a stroke of luck going into the final 10 minutes when Javi Martinez made a perfectly timed sliding challenge to knock the ball away from Berbatov, but the ball rolled directly into the path of Cerci, who easily scored to send City into a 2-1 lead.

Spartak Bosco pushed relentlessly for an equaliser and looked good to get one at some points, but were caught on the counter attack in the dying minutes when Danny played a reverse pass through Bosco's back line into the path of Higuain, who found the bottom left corner to seal Carlisle City's passage into the semi finals.

Commiserations to Nomadic, who was quite unlucky to lose in this game, it could have gone either way, like many games in this tournament, and it's a big shame for him to go out like that after shocking everyone in the groups.

Also, my apologies for the report not being as detailed as it normally is, although i got the screenshots, i forgot to save the highlights to watch over as i was writing this, so i was mainly writing from memory of the game. Either way, thanks to Nomadic for the match, and i look forward to playing whoever i meet in the semi finals (Like Znik, i've lost track of who i'll play...)
