ya you can use it in windowed mode. i use the game and the editor both in windowed mode.

You can have it in windowed mode.
Follow these steps, in the editor.

'Settings' (Top left, next to 'File'), then click on 'Display' (3rd Selected Option down), then click on 'Windowed'. Then it'll go into Windowed mode.
