I wish the option to make a comment about another manager without it being during a press conference would return. Sadly it's not made it through to this game.

Enjoying so far. Loving the addition of player promises before offering contracts, it can literally make or break a transfer deal.
Why? If you want an easy ride, stick to playing FM12.

Loving the match engine so far! Finally my players actually cross/pass to the open guy at the far post who can tap it in.

It might be me who is just bad, but I am not enjoying the ME at all. It's the same as last year for me – the only way I can score consistently is by crossing. It is so freaking boring to see the same goals over and over.

33 of 99 assists in those 108 goals were crosses, it might just be the tactical set up you are using results in goals from crosses?

I'm new to the franchise so FM 2017 is my first FM. Got the beta yesterday and have been addicted ever since. I started off with Liverpool and I am closing in on the start of the season having just completed 6 pre-season victories (my latest victim was 2-0 against Milan).
I literally spent the 1st three hours of the game just trying to familiarise myself with the look/feel and what I have control of. I think I was just over 3 hours in when I played my 1st fixture.
For those who talk about lag in previous versions, I have not experienced any and loading times are really quick. I am a little overwhelmed with the depth of the game, especially with regards to making decisions for the under 23's and 18's, staff contracts and training regimes. Hopefully I will overcome this soon.

Callamity, where are you seeing that number? If that's correct, it's spot on with real life figures.

this is accurate from watching the matches too, I tried to find it in the statistics etc but this is the only plays i can find it
Has that Strengths and weakness team report been added this year? looks like a great idea

Well played well over 11 hours total (been experimenting with different formats such as create a club etc) and I love it already. So smooth and quick during processing matches etc, so many subtle improvements that make the game overall more enjoyable, and it's so easy to navigate aswell. Ok the slightly annoying press interactions are still there but meh. Not had any crashes so far, previous addons such as facepacks etc still work perfectly fine. SI have got the optimization for different OS's (32/64 bit) spot on so kudos to them for that.
There are one or two graphical glitches when viewing a match (I watch them in full) but that's to be expected in beta-but on the whole nothing game breaking, and absolutely no evidence of OP crossing from the full backs. The small tweaks and changes are perfect imo. ME looks much better and smoother aswell.
And on a side note, Koeman got sacked in December, Everton are languishing in 15th, and in my first game in charge, the real "Special One" arrived at Goodison. First game in charge (with only 1 day of prep):

Maybe I will, I dunno. It takes time to put together a thread.
Ok, just loaded up my first save of FM17, and after an inital look at the Liverpool-players and some of my go-to players for pace and acceleration my impression is that these stats have become even harder to get a high rating in. Sturridge for example has been nerfed to 14-13. In a quick search i found noone with 20 in either of the stats. Lallana has 10-10 (lol). Anyone with the same impression?
