After hearing all the hype about the World Cup lately, I really feel like playing a game with an international team. I feel like I will really enjoy this and I hope you do to. I will be playing the 10.3 database and loaded the top two leagues from England and the top league from France, Spain and Germany.

Football's Coming Home - An England Story

england_badge_2.jpg

Earlier today, England manager Fabio Capello was forced to retire from his post as England manager due to allegations about him sleeping with one of the players wives.

Fabio Capello said:
I did not want to leave England as I really enjoyed it here but I must go after these allegations have come out. If I do not leave, it will have a negative effect on the team and that is not fair in such an important year.

Just hours later, the English Football Association announced rookie coach Daniel Oakes as the national teams new manager. After hearing the news, England fans everywhere are astonished and upset about the news. Many said that they had lost faith in the FA after making this 'rash' decision.

Daniel Oakes said:
I am absolutely delighted about becoming England manager today. This has been my dream for my whole life and dreams do not come true very often. I will bring about change to the team and I will try my best to prove the many doubters wrong. We will bring football home this coming Summer.

Oakes announces 26 man team to take on Holland

James-Milner-for-Villa_1166667.jpg

Aston Villa winger James Milner is one of the men named in Daniel Oakes' 26 man squad that will have his chance to make his England debut against Holland. The other debutant included in the squad is Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross. It has come to a shock of many that Gary Neville, David James, Emile Heskey and Wes Brown have been left out of the squad, whilst Rio Ferdinand, Joleon Lescott and many others miss out through injury.

England's twenty six man squad to face Holland

Goalkeepers: Ben Foster, Robert Green, Joe Hart

Defenders: Wayne Bridge, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, Micah Richards, Ryan Shawcross, John Terry, Luke Young

Midfielders: Gareth Barry, David Beckham, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young

Forwards: Gabby Agbonlahor, Jermain Defoe, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott

Daniel Oakes said:
I am delighted with my call ups and I believe that this is the strongest 26 I could put together with the injury problems persisting. I have dropped Gary Neville and Emile Heskey as I do not believe they are of sufficient calibre to merit a starting place but I hope they prove me wrong and play well for their club and I may have to reconsider. Ryan and James have earned their call ups and I will give them a chance in the first team.

Interesting squad there mate, few weird faces like Luke Young in there, but hopefully it won't hinder you.

Lampard named as new England captain

After Oakes said that he would change things last month, the young manager has shocked the country at the first time of asking. He made the move to remove Rio Ferdinand as England captain and replace him with dynamic midfielder Frank Lampard. Steven Gerrard has been named as the vice captain.

Daniel Oakes said:
I felt there was a need to change the aura around the squad. I am delighted to announce Frank as the new captain and am a little sad for Rio. I believe Frank will be able to lead the country with his heart on his sleeve and he full of passion. Stevie is very much the same, also very passionate and he will be vice to Frank.

Terry and Bridge told to settle their differences

After the allegations a few months ago, John Terry and Wayne Bridge have not been the best of friends where Wayne Bridge hastily stated that he would never play with John Terry again and John Terry was removed of the England captaincy. England manager Daniel Oakes has recalled Wayne Bridge to the squad and apparently had this to say to both parties.

Daniel Oakes said:
If we are to have any chance of going ahead and winning the World Cup in South Africa this summer, we will need all of our team to be on the same page. That does mean that John and Wayne will have to settle their differences or else. If they cannot play together and any animosity is shown between the two of them, both of them will instantly be removed from my squad.
