Really hope you make it through the playoffs this time, loving this thread.
I was 4-5 seasons in when i started this story so it gave me a good starting platform. My gf's laptop can do a season in around 5-6 hours if i stick at it!Have been following this story everyday and now so close to the premiership...good luck bud i hope you go through the play off's with victory.
Playoffs are done i'll update tonight.
one other thing how do you fly through the seasons as quickly as you do? i only manage to do a season a week if i'm lucky, think i need to upgrade my laptop.
I have had a few with low star rating go on to be first teamers. Lunardi being the best(2 star potential). So that would explain it.Doing well. Also, the players potential is underated at first intake due to a bug in the game so you have to sign on currrent ability and your own eyes rather than potential. You also could try and sign some players back if possible. They would make a big difference.
In real life Guernsey actually cover the cost of there opponents travel aswell. though i don't think the game covers this.I'm in Jersey regularly and I've visited Guernsey before. Great story mate. Must be a pain in the **** travelling for games though, haha.
Yup certainly. Loving all the lower league games popping up now.Ive taken a lot of inspiration from your story for mine. Check it out if you get the time.
Im really hoping mine can go as well as yours, because you have done fantastic!

I forgot to bring the screenshots with me, so it will be after 7 tonight, sorry.whens the next update coming?
hey i just started a save at the same level as you did..with Bridlington town..what advice can you give me regarding players
If your doing youth only.... pray! Stay ontop of your facilities, pester the board. It'sworth selling even your best player if it gets all your facilities upgraded. As for signing i don't know as i haven't signed any.
tht ok just bridlington team sucks lol
See, Guernseys team was excellent. Already semi-pro so kept my players, Already had good facilities and a 5000 seater stadium. Looking at what some of you guys have taken on i feel like i've cheated a bit now.
No I don't think that you cheated, but it does help playing with a club that's already a semi-professional club. I started with Runcorn Linnets in the North West Counties Premier Division (level 9) who are amateur club. I won the league title and won the FA Vase and semi-finalists in the North West Counties Challenge Cup in the first season with Runcorn Linnets. The chairman did turn the club from amateur club to semi-professional club in late June 2013, but the trouble was I lost most of my first team squad on the free transfers, because they were on amateur contacts, the chairman was to late changing to a semi-professional club. Also it didn't really matter anyway because of finances of the club I couldn't afford to offer them semi-professional contacts due their wage demands, plus I couldn't attract any decent players to the club as well. Also when a club turns semi-pro, it seems that you can't see to sign players on amateur contacts or non-contacts now?. No decent youth players in youth team and the one's I had that are any good also left me on free transfers as well. So you can see why people might think that you cheated. I carry on until September 2013 on my save then deleted it due being frustrated with my save. Comparing the two clubs, (Guernsey / Runcorn Linnets) : Status - Guernsey (Semi-Professional) / Runcorn Linnets (Amateur) - finances Guernsey (Okay) / Runcorn Linnets (Insecure) - estimated value - Guernsey (£425k) / Runcorn Linnets (£60k) - stadium capacity - Guernsey (5000 with 720 seats) / Runcorn Linnets (1600), I can see why you had advantage over me when it comes progressing the club, so I need to pick a better club to start with. Anyway keep up the good work that you are doing on your save, Come on you green lions Premier league title on way soon? or maybe even the Champions league?. Looking forward to reading more of your story.See, Guernseys team was excellent. Already semi-pro so kept my players, Already had good facilities and a 5000 seater stadium. No one has accused me of cheating anyway. I simply meant like you have pointed out i started with the best team in the 9th tier and I never exspected so many people to take this on. There have still been times i have wanted to punch the screen though make no mistake! It sounds like you were signing players in your game? Is it that hard in 13? I never had issues on 12.No I don't think that you cheated, but it does help playing with a club that's already a semi-professional club. I see that you used a 4-4-2 formation from your screenshots, but are your tactics?. And have you changed formation / tactics as you went up through leagues?. It would be nice to see a screenshot of your tactics?. I tried to play attacking/control short passing possession football style with Runcorn Linnets using a tactic that I downloaded (FMTN Possession Break). Basically 3-3-3-1 tactic with 2 full backs, 1 centre back, 3 defensive midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders & 1 striker.
I'm going give another go with lower leagues (level 9)!, Not sure which club to be?, thought I would give try either Runcorn Linnets (North West Counties Premier Division) again or Enfield 1893 FC (Essex Senior League) my two favourite English non-league clubs (reason behind my favourite clubs, in the early eighties (1980's) they were very successful in the Alliance Premier league - Gola League (now Blue Square Bet Premier Division) & FA Trophy), I'm showing my age now!. or pick Sevenoaks Town (Kent Premier League), the town of birthplace?, I live in Northamptonshire but I don't like any of the clubs at level 9 of the league pyramid in Northamptonshire!. The problem that I'm going to have is the three clubs that debating to be are all amateur clubs.i don't think the way you play effects the regens at all, but i could be wrong. I always try to play attacking footbll, it's what i like so i translate it into the game where i can. I'm hrdly Barcelona but it works for me.
Give me 10 minutesI'm dying for the Playoff update
