Fulham vs Manchester United (22/08/10)

im going for a 2-0 win to Man United, mainly because i feel we've obviously got a better defense this year than the last time we went there, considering it wasnt really a defense, and last season we started with owen and rooney who didnt play well together there last year, but i see us winning, all depends on if scholes plays, hasnt had the best of times at the cottage, but hes's in good form atm. Rooney and Berbatov to score

Breaking news coming out of Manchester United tonight is that England striker Wayne Rooney has been left behind in Manchester as the rest of the squad travel down to London to face Fulham tomorrow. The England and Manchester United striker who has been short of form recently has been left out of the squad due to a stomach bug and will miss United's trip to Craven Cottage. Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is now expected to partner Dimitar Berbatov who opening the scoring last Monday against Newcaste United for his full Manchester United debut.​

Not as massive a blow as it may sound.Hernandez and Berbatov can start their striking partnership tomorrow with the absence of Rooney and might actually be a boost.

very true, its still early days. if this was the case mid way of the season and Rooney had 10 goals to his credit at the time, it would be a big loss but as its still only early days and Rooney hasn't scored and isn't in the best of forms, its not that big a loss, as crazy as it sounds lol

Berbatov and hernandez seem to have formed a pretty good partnership up front so far but it's still a blow.
 
Isnt it a 4pm kick off, rather than a 2pm kick off?

i cant see it mate, take nothing away from Fulham's performance last season but we did have 3 midfielders and a youth player playing at the back, wont be the same this time around
 
2-0 to the reds i reckon once the first goal is in thinks will slow down and they'll pop in another to be safe ;)

Well, that wasn't that funny.
 
Fulham will make it difficult for them, but United's class and experience will be too much imo. I'm going for 3-1 United... It'll be 2-1 until late on, then United will break and get another one.

OR Paul Scholes will be sent off for a dangerous challenge before half time, Fulham will take advantage, and win 2-1. Giggs could score again.
